Can someone please tell me how to disable atlas fog?
Tried the instructions from this >>509184580 post but I don't have those folders or files. I really cannot be bothered to keep playing without it otherwise, running around like a headless chicken trying to find citadels is just not fun.

I don't understand the fire spell selection. You start with flame wall, which doesn't do much on its own. Your next early game choice is fusillade, which feels terrible at such a low level and isn't great even if built around. Solar orb does nothing without flameblast. Incinerate works but is very buggy. Finally you get a straightforward spell with fireball, but then firestorm right after actively avoids hitting enemies. Why did they make these so shit?

its either steamapps poe folder, my games folder, or the steam userdata folder. Userdata is organized by steamID so you have to know the Steam ID number from steamdb and it's in that folder numbnuts.

These are my only poe 2 worldmap folders, with nothing relevant in them. My Games and the steam userdata folder have nothing either. I'm kind of confused why our folder structure is so different, honestly, since it seems like you use steam as well.

The reason why the maps are so mazey is content padding. Once the game is out, they'll tune the algorithm to generate sensible layouts (main path + side rooms/area without branching).

Probably gonna copy forge guard from LE, it's likely to have animate guardian be its ascendancy exclusive skill. Might even have a ui for equipping it. Other probable gimmicks: third weapon slot, more thorns bullshit, damage taken as fire/phys like altered flesh. They run out of ideas and reuse them pretty quick, there's a lot of exact copies of nodes on different sides of the tree already.

I just finally got mine now that I’m comfy wiping t15s. Took a few losses before I was able to, needed to respec and regear a few times, the keys for chaos drop at t11+, I did mine with lvl 80 chaos trial and lvl 88 character. You can start grinding for fate keys though, I would make sure your surv and damage is high though, the boss has an insane hp pool and does a lot of damage. Also he’s resistant to all damage types other than chaos fyi.

Everything you listed except breach is fucking boring. Rituals are 99% garbage rewards and play terribly on almost all maps. Chaos trials are 15 minutes each and are plain boring. Sekhemas is less boring but each takes much longer, no desire to chain them.

99% of the rares you identify will be garbage and you need to know what's valuable and how valuable which can be really difficult given the number of builds there are

ES armour tends to be easy to identify because people want +mana and +ES and theres a hige market for it

Fully level and corrupt and list all jewels unless you know they are useless

I'm not an expert so I recommend farming league mechanics instead of relying on rares

There's generally still a market for worthless low map gear, and it'll even be incredibly cheap. But this late in the league making the jump from good to great build is very hard.

Nah not for early mappers, you don’t need crazy res out the gate and +spirit helps a lot early on. It’s basically an early endgame leveling item. But yeah might go for 5ex tops. Gotta see what else is listed.

Chrono could be god tier late game but I tried leveling towards it for a while and it’s just a slog. There’s some elemental spells with cooldown that could benefit, as well as blink, but I haven’t gone super deep into it. In my ideal world though I’d love to figure it out, just haven’t felt much of a draw to start over now that I’m comfy clearing with my infernalist. I’ll probably try her later once I get bored. Worth a shot though man freezing time and blinking around like crazy sounds awesome.

apparently its not the map setting so you can have steaming springs somehow in a desert or so and it drops trial invitations but the map looks like tropic thunder
they need to add weather effects like having snow and ice in any map that is in the mountain zone which has snow or rain and fog in forest zones and force scene brightness to +5.5 in desert maps like savannah
also they had a cloud layer in the tower map on the preview from the expo but it seems the tower map changed completely since august last year

The real issue right now is that regular ass attack builds need to be brought closer in line with stat stacking with regular methods of damage scaling, not the reverse.

a clear indicator is missing telling the player this map is biome desert or mountain or so
you can get maps like augury in areas that look like swamp and then in grass but you cant really tell because the tiles are not distinguishable enough against eachother
same for forest, it hard to tell if the map is in the forest area because the visuals cut away so many trees for a node so it could also be a swamp area... there are so many possibilities how to indicate the definitive biome from a simple text in the tooltip to textures for the map frame and or simply weather effects like fog clouds in swamp biomes, snow in mountain biome, falling leaves in forest and gusts of sandy wind or these fatamprgana air ripples in desert biomes indicating heat
most of the maps are breathtakingly beautiful they will surely create more of this beauty in the future

Howa can also use it and does. Howa breaks the game by providing numerically superior stats by disregarding everything about the passive tree. The tree should be a fundemental constraint on build design and anything that circumvents this should be deleted. When you put a tablet into a tower it will not be able to spawn league mechanics on maps that you've attempted/failed.
So you use T1 maps to "attempt" the garbage ones around a tower (ex. Mire, Vaal Factories, etc.) to flag them as unbuffable without actually having to subject yourself to doing the garbage maps

Literally every weapon, node, etc that does "Provides X per Y amount of Mana/Stat" needs a hard cap on it. Otherwise every build will eventually just become akin to PoE1. Things like Archmage should cap at 5k mana.

the issue is that there are half a dozen payoffs to stacking mana in the stormweaver build and there need to be fewer, it's so pronounced that even deleting mom + eldritch battery doesnt make the build bad

and flat mana's an overloaded stat in the first place because it increases max as well as boosts regen

Rings have every single useful stat that can roll while belt mods are filled with dogshit like charm duration. On top of that you can't catalyst belts in this one and breach rings exist so every ring mod is actually 1.5x its value. It's insane how GGG with the experience they have thought it was ok to release.

The witchunter is the ultimate expression of skill in an diablo like ARPG. Weapon set points giving an effective 24 extra talent points, 48 total weapon points to use between 2 different trees where a clever player who is good at utilizing the talent tree can maximize the benefit of the tree in a way other classes cant, Making a clever build can never be as impressive as it is when you are using an effective 150 talent points at lvl 80. The crossbow reload mechanic requires mechanical skill to use efficiently, if you spam the skill it will jam for a half second punishing you for not playing deliberately, if you change bolts after a shot you can skip the reload mechanic altogether but you have to have good timing, this mechanical skill based gameplay relies on clever combos, a good talent build, and mechanical skill in a way no other class does. Truly all other classes are playing on baby mode compared to the skill cieling that is the witchhunter.

spells get to scale with archmage + spell damage, quarterstaff gets to scale with crit, minions get to scale with dmg% + base damage + number of minions, crossbow gets +dmg% and a little bit of AS and that is literally it

their end game outer nodes are "reduced reload time"

crossbow damage literally cannot scale to the point it beats xesht4 in under three minutes

I'm using it now and can shed light on a few things. First, incinerate is very buggy, but not bad. It works in a weird way in that it 'hits' in order to apply ignite, but does no hit damage. It always ignites regardless of enemy ailment threshold, and the node at the top of the tree that causes ignites to deal damage 15% faster has way more of an affect than 15% for whatever reason. For tree you want anything that says fire/ignite alongside lots of cast speed. Exposure doesn't seem to work for ignite damage currently, so exposure effect probably isn't worth it. For supports you want the more ignite magnitude one, controlled destruction, mobility and momentum.

It's not going to be as strong as archmage spark on a stormweaver, but it has it's own purpose with cast on ignite. Currently there is a very strange interaction where the burning ground made by max stage incinerate can sometimes but not always cause incredibly high energy gain and trigger spells insanely fast, but you won't have enough mana to keep it going, so pyromantic pact and a lot of max fire res are needed. I'm doing it and don't want to invest tons of currency in +2 max fire res on a build that relies on a bug, but rise of the phoenix and the regen nodes in templar start do well enough to counteract pyromantic pact. I tried combining with demon form but it's too deadly, you'd need very expensive gear and jewels for it to work together.

It is though, it took them what 6 years to get what they have now? Anyways yeah you are right, it is a failure of design assuming they wanted slower gameplay. Also, wanting every ability to need to be combod is kinda lame, I know it sounds cool but in practice its not as interesting as it sounds for every ability to be garbage unless paired with another. There are other ways to slow down the gameplay too by having some skills be niche use to use in certain situations, having a game designed around those would be better imo and allow for a more varied and tactical/strategic gameplay. Look at people playing the game on twitch, a lot of them only have 1-2 skills on their bar because thats all they need, even assuming they needed to use one after the other that only makes the spam more tedious, it doesnt slow the game down much. People dont want to admit it but at least immunities in D2 forced a sorcerers to use more than 1 element.

The biggest problem though is their stat system is so convoluted it is too hard to balance in a way no one can break it in some way. They basically copy pasted PoE1 stat system and you expect the game to not turn into PoE1? The writing is on the wall. PoE2 will have a good campaign but the endgame will be PoE1.5 you may as well come to terms with that.

The attribute system is nothing like poe1 and is one of the main reason so many classes are pigeon holes. you can still get upto 75%-80% evasion easy even with sorcery ward. it has really great synergy with wind dancer too since the evasion from that isn't gimped by sorcery ward, but feeds back into your sorc ward pool. if you throw 1 or 2 other defensive layers on there you are actually extremely tanky as a witchhunter

The way they designed it if you want to go crit and take advantage of the only offensive scaling this class has and the only thing that is a sidegrade (downgrade but more flavorful) to Stormweaver Archmage for spells you can't go for the ES -> Life node so you can't really scale it.
The Progen node and that should swap places.

That's why they need to nerf Stat stacking and make the tree more meaningful with things like "dazed enemies take x MORE damage." Not some paltry increases. Take the more multipliers out of gems. Take the %chance out of gems and let them do the thing they are supposed to do, and then make some other skill blow the fucking asshole out of the enemy when you do the thing. That's what I thought would be happening. Like pinned enemies bleed to death, dazed enemies brains explode and chain on screen. Ignited enemies spread their ignites which they currently absolutely fucking neutered and then some other spell that deals a shit ton of damage once they're ignited. There's so many things the could be doing but they decided to add Stat stacking faggotry instead. Yeah let's add logarithmicslly scaling bullshit to items and jewels after we've completely neutered the passive tree now everyone just chases jewel slots for every fucking build. It's literally worse than poe1 and it's only been ought a few weeks these people are fucking hacks

That’s one point for Diablo, it would be incredible for GGG to make the controller input hybrid to facilitate everyones life. There are some pointers that it can be done, for example i teleport to my friends with mouse, but is too limited still.

the only physical 1shots in the game that aren't evadeable are big windup slams that you are going to have to play well and just avoid in pretty much any case regardless of what kind of defensive strategy you are using.

cloak of flames prolly sounds good on paper but you are going to have a horseshit sorc ward pool with that as your body armour. you're much better off getting some damage from mana before life from the tree and from jewels, since crossbow builds essentially don't use mana anyways. there's also a node that gives 5% phys as random element that's good for shaving off oneshots.

it's not random. if you're moving and you try to fire while reloading the xbow can jam. you need to reload deliberately when you're out of ammo.

They should just pull a blood mage and make the first 2 points mandatory weapon set points, then reduce the cost of the other points by putting culling/decimate into one node etc. and add a a few nodes that give benefit to one type of skill if you have used another type recently, like 15% more damage to ranged attacks if you have used a melee skill recently etc.

It's EA, I get it. I think everybody can agree that Charms slots being locked behind a mod is "doubleplusungood", and disagrees with the notion of natural game progression.

Charms need to be buffed significantly, either giving reduced Resistances as a passive effect and having something similar to old potion mods whenever something occurs. Ex. The stun on process when stunned, which is fine, but could have mods that last for a few seconds that give increased armor or Evasion like they do in PoE1.

As of now they are borderline useless, lack a ton of clarity, and have no niche. Nobody in their right mind uses resistance charms because you CANNOT build around a random timer giving you resistance for 2 seconds during a game of one-shots. Hell, they could even make charms fucking cracked and roll random Pantheon Mods to bring that system of niche usefulness back.

PoE2 has so much potential, and charms are big doodoo right now and a massive piece of player power being slept on.

agreed, they need a buff to be better than bow skills for sure. the biggest problem is that half of the crossbow weapon skills are hot fucking garbage and need complete reworks honestly. crossbows themselves actually feel really good once you get a feel for the cadence of firing and reloading and will be good once they're tuned correctly.

Seriously, it increasing by 12.5% per Level is absolutely insane. I could potentially get a level 39 Gas Arrow, which would be 100% more than my current level 25 Gas Arrow, but I don't want to because it would make the mana cost go from 145 (which is already steep) to a whooping 713. How the hell am I supposed to sustain 713 Mana per attack? BEFORE THE MULTIPLIERS! Realistically we are looking at 1026 Mana Cost per attack. I don't even HAVE 1026 mana. this game is shit and 60% of damage is chaos or physical, chaos damage being so ridiculously pronounced is clearly one of the big accidental whoopsies because they had to nerf it immediately after release, point being even with a 2800 sorcery ward + 2800 hp pool you will usually die before your ward disappears, that is just how threats are distributed in this game maybe 40% of the damage in this game is elemental

damage from mana before life is on the other side of the tree, it is impossible, all you get as witch hunter is calaysis (which you should take)

Howa wouldn't be half as strong without those notables. there is one that is a straight up ~30% more damage if you're running 100% lightning, and another that is about 10% more damage if you've already got the former notable I mentioned. There's there's another one that's literally 20% more damage if you electrocute shit and there's one that scales lightning damage with int for a double dip on howa stat scaling. It's an incredibly busted damage type, none of the other ones have anything close to any of these.

I almost never die. If you die with a defensive setup like this your damage is fucked and you aren't killing things quick enough.
