Does anyone else have really weird microstuttering? I have a high end pc and it's only happening with poe 2.
It probably has something to do with lockstep being mandatory. For some reason it gets marginally better when I close chrome. It's driving me insane.

Putting the obvious spark shit aside, Stormweaver is just the only way to play a mage right now. Your other option is Chronomancer or gimping your starting nodes, and ascendancy, with Infernalist/Blood Mage.

Mathil might be the best public builder in the entire scene and he couldn't make WH or Acolyte work without leaning on generic shit and admitting that they were bad ascendancies he had to cope with.

He'll probably settle on something like fire thorns cold convert to trigger double heralds so you can AFK clear packs but much worse than doing it manually.

It is quite hard at first, but once you reach critical mana (and get eternal gaze), you are quite tanky and deal a lot of damage. You literally only need mana/intelligence and resistances at that point.

The balance is fucking atrocious. Concoction skills gaining quiver benefits, gaining es over life even with en negating the downside of the keystone, warrior being clunky dogshit, es being overtuned, top builds all revolving around poe1 style screen aids, sanic speed monsters way out of line with anything remotely conducive to considerate play, 90% of skills unusable dogshit, half the ascendancies are a meme, attribute system an utter fucking disaster completely brickibg any sort of hybridized skill usage, weapon swap lmao, forge boss physics glitches, random instant deaths to on death effects that sit on your screen after you've walked away and then their timers restart when you walk back a minute later to pick up your oddly shards.

Help a gamer out with map sustain. Ran out of T15s to run, now I'm back to T14.
I could 3:1 a bunch but there's no guarantee I'd get I'd earn my waystones back because obviously my whole strat is fucked. I alt+aug+regal every waystone and have 150% iir on gear.
I only really use Breach tablets.

It was the same back during the PoE 1 beta (back when CI gave you 50% MORE energy shield kek), it wasn't until they introduced shit like Fortify and endurance charge passive mitigation that melee became even somewhat viable, and even then you were basically pigeonholed into Kaom's Heart. Now they didn't bother putting in the mitigation stuff yet, but the energy shield percent nodes are on the tree still so energy shield and evasion is so much better than life and armor, so what you end up with is a character that needs to get in close to do damage but doesn't have the usual advantage of melee in most games, being tanky. They need to overhaul a lot of shit to make them even slightly viable right now. This is what happens when you rush your closed beta out the door to cash in for Christmas instead of taking a look back and learning from shit that happened literally over a decade ago.

in super old poe, melee was fine. life nodes were super fat, elecleave was great damage since you'd pick up every damage aura at once (they cost flat mana lol) + some shock effectiveness nodes which used to be insanely strong. ground slam was also pretty good

Armour doesn't stop pinnacle slams at all and there're like 5 chaos hit modifier effects. The only elemental damage that's ever dangerous since they nerfed merc mobs is like the sun priest if you don't have enough damage to off screen clear him. Everything on maps is chaos, and bosses all have armour penetration mechanics for no reason.

Problem being that blackbraid cucks you out of a lot of useful stats that are probably far better at mitigating damage considering you'll have no armour on your chest piece. You'd have to be getting %armor rolls on helm and boots to make up for this and dropping other stats. Warrior is perhaps the most attribute strained class in the game, has the worst spirit gems, worst skills, worst mobility, and worst defense type. Getting some ele damage reduction from a shit chest piece is no consolation

If you take them out of the equation, what enemy does armour mitigate better than the other layers? Because evasion factually mitigates small hits wildly better. This basically leaves mob phys AoEs which are basically just vultures and gorillas.

I, a filthy casual res capped blood mage running around t14/15's with normally 6k (or so) hp and who knows how much es have finally been forced to view the character selection screen every time my health even so much as goes below half. Legit, scary af and not even worth risking the death.

On the flip side, this has caused me to gain an appreciation for the level of detail we have in the character select / login screen. Just, such wow!

Oh, and do NOT get me started on the pure magnificence that is the life orb/bar. It is truly a spectacle to behold. My newfound focus has shown me the light, the glistening hope it provides (half the time when I'm not logging out of course), the near perfect and seamless animation.

Guys the general way of communicating in the thread makes it look like the devs have been ignoring your pleas for years.

The game is around for less than a month, for an early access it's great. Can we all relax and enjoy what we have while the deva cook?

Yeah they need feedback, but saying trade or magic find makes you not want to play it's a bit extreme.

The game is at a better starting point than 99% of the games we got in the last year's.

Idk maybe I'm the one being weird about it, but I feel we are failing to appreciate the positives of it. There is time to fix the negatives.

How am I supposed to mitigate physical res as a witch? I can nuke most everything and mobs aren’t a problem but randomly die to physical aoes. Most I’ve been able to get for armor is my shield and that nets out at 9% for overall physical resist. But I need the other gear to cap elemental resist. Feels stuck idk how to get more. This is with es at 8.2k with full grim harvest btw.

Why are folks panicking about an EA economy that GGG has already planned on dumpstering by turning EA into a museum?

It's EA. It's expected to have lots of bugs. The economy is going to be fucked while the game is literally being completed and GGG is making big balance changes, fixing big bugs, and again - literally adding the second half of the game.

People have lost all sense of perspective, man. Nobody is treating this like the literal beta it is. Yes, critical feedback is hugely important and being a beta isn't a shield to deflect all criticism - but we've seen GGG's approach to handling the economy in PoE1 for ages and, generally, it's been good. But all of a sudden people are panicking about it as if they've forgotten GGG's behavior for years and years and also that they're playing a beta.

I believe that armor was made weak due to the damage bonus that armor break provides. This explains why GGG nerfed armor break without changing Herald.
If GGG brought back the old armor formula from POE1 like some want, armor break would be even stronger, so I really don't believe they will do that.

I’m this anon btw. I have 3rd ascendancy with the spirit node and enough spirit for 11 arsonists and 3 clerics. It just feels like such a glass canon. I’ve got a spirit ring that give me an additional 26% damage boost across the board so I can reliably kill, but once I get attackspammed enough to break through my res/es I immediately die.

Upon looking I have beidats will, not hand, but just picked up another body piece with a boost to es so maybe that’ll help. Idk.

HoWA is probably overtuned in itself but a big part of the issue is that there're far less avenues for scaling than there were in PoE1, chiefly, ways to scale damage on large amounts of smaller hits. If you aren't getting big ass crits it's really hard not to go for HoWA in the late game.

There is too much shit in Ultimatum that fucks my build. Fuck. I can sometimes do 10 floor ultimatums if I don't get certain combos of modifiers. The corrupting blood pyramid is actually insanely gay. Same with petrification statues and ruin shade. My build probably can't do sekema trial 4 floor either. So I probably won't be able to ascend the last rank until like level 90+. I am in SSF also and warrior so double fucked. Is ultimatum actually overtuned for regular builds and the only thing shitting on it are the builds that are incredibly strong?

I actually find the tornado bird to be the easiest. I don't instagib him but I realized that he never tornadoes in the night phase and all of his other shit isn't scary. At least to me. I hate the chimera more because he flies away before I can get my damage out on the warrior.

The atlas is just a wonky multistage wave function collapse from what I can tell. The pathing rules just sometimes get broken for the sake of terrain placement to cause that issue. In general, though, if all you want to know about your neighboring areas is "is there a citadel there," it'd be pretty easy to run through that part of the WFC algorithm to check their seeds.

Mace skills are really shit and armour is really shit but I'm not really convinced that either warrior ascendancy is actually that bad. A big problem is that the INT/STR area is filler central with no skills yet so they have a bad time branching. Merc zone is dogshit too but they travel easily.

There are still 4 mace skills that aren't in the game. I wonder what the other 4 would be / could be. My guess is that they will release those skills sooner rather than later. yeah i just casually used howa on my invoker because its so good even with just the stats the game forces you to have to play the game
i think rare gloves would be a bit better than a base howa with 6 perfect t1 mods like flat prefixes + attack speed + crit dmg + melee lvl or attributes (or any of those prefixes / suffixes replaced with mf) but youre just not getting that. and even that is btfo by howa with a good corrupt roll

Feels like I'm hitting a wall with my damage
I'm level 79 so I have all the bases available now but every new weapon I can find on trade is either a downgrade or a very slight upgrade (at least according to the DPS meters in my skill menu) and even those are like 50ex
This is what I'm using now, I know the flat fire isn't super useful but igniting the bell is free damage

Any Monk/QSfags able to point me in the right direction for an upgrade? I'm not familiar with how to find exactly what I want when trading

what? damage makes the skills do more damage, what kind of question is that
monk pathing usually has a tiny bit more lightning / cold dmg than fire because of the herald node but flat fire makes it easier to apply ignite and there are 2 passive nodes that make you do more damage when you ignite enemies (+ bell but the ailment threshold is so low that you can ignite bell with a single shitty flat fire on rings or gloves)

I've bought a couple of cheap ones that read as like 400+ DPS on the site and without fail they're downgrades. I bought this one a bit ago and even with two Iron Runes slotted putting it on makes me lose ~300 DPS on Storm Wave and gains like 30 on Bell and Heralds
Igniting the bell makes it do a straight up 30% more damage, which isn't super necessary when most things that get bell'd die either way but it's nice to have, it does not serve a purpose outside of bell and I'll drop it for a large enough upgrade

then I'm pretty sure you need to look for higher pdps, not overall dps. your staff has around 300 pdps, so the next affordable upgrade will likely be 400+dps. you can probably still find stuff in that range below 1 div, maybe 30-50ex.

It's because of the way Tempest Bell works. Read under Shockwave. Monk itself has very little Fire support but the Bell doesn't care about that - only whether it's Shocked/Frozen/Chilled/Ignited/Electrocuted, and they can all stack.

Guys the general way of communicating in the subreddit makes it look like the deva have been ignoring your pleas for years.

The game is around for less than a month, for an early access it's great. Can we all relax and enjoy what we have while the deva cook?

Yeah they need feedback, but saying trade or magic find makes you not want to play it's a bit extreme.

The game is at a better starting point than 99% of the games we got in the last year's.

Idk maybe I'm the one being weird about it, but I feel we are failing to appreciate the positives of it. There is time to fix the negatives.

TLDR: chill and let the devs cook

GGG has been ignoring pleas for years, though. It took them like 4 leagues to 'walk back' Archniggersis, and even then they didn't really remove it, they just made it SLIGHTLY less cancerous and fucking lied so people would buy it.

I've been playing for 70 hours. 70 HOURS! That's a lot for me, and I'm still having a lot of fun. I'm halfway through cruel difficulty and still unlocking new skills.

Some of you are into multiple hundreds of hours and that's just fucking insanity. It's like 10 hours a day, every day for a month.

look around to see what you can upgrade tweak in your build. and use a flask that gains 0.x charges a second, if you aren't already.

Oh wait you mean viper the aztec girl. On one of my builds I struggled on her in act 3 but steamrolled in cruel act 3, on another I steamrolled on normal, but struggled on cruel. The latter. Spark is overwhelmingly OP right now. Herald stacking is overwhelmingly OP right now, warriors arent good for either. Also mace skills are slow and fast is the meta, they are S tier for bosses but F tier for clearing screens, keep in mind warrior screen clear is still too fast to be acceptable for jonathans vision, you can literally 1 hit AOE kill everything on the screen with a single 1.5 second attack swing, the really awful thing is you have to stand in one place for that 1.5 seconds, which means warriors are le heckin dogshiterino because sorcs can run and tele as they kill everything on the screen in one hit.

Warriors are probably one of the best classes to go through the campaign right now just because they are pretty strong from act 1 onwards and armor+HP is actually one of the best defences to have for the campaign, its just mapping they are kinda meh because of the above issues.

they decided to make the same mistake every shitty copy of soulsslop does, make it "hard" by turning bosses into hp sponges, instead of relatively short skill checks.
Having oneshot attacks is fine if you only have to dodge it for like 2~3min, but combine doing that for half an hour with the demoralization of seeing the boss HP bar whittle down 1 pixel at a time is nauseating. Dark Souls actually rewarded you for evading for a bit by seeing large chunks of the HP go down.

thats not the problem of warrior, he instakills pinnacles with hotg. bossing is the one thing the character is good at. the problem is that warrior sucks ass at mapping, its extremely slow and just not fun. the movement with leap slam / shield charge into dodge roll is shit and stampede gets stuck on white mobs. theres no reason to play the guy

This one performs worse than your original weapon because it is worse. If all your scaling is primarily ele and you're only converting 60% of the phys the first one will be much better. Flat ele is really good in this game because you're almost never scaling phys alone.

It come out ahead with quality.

its surprisingly good. a lot of the core systems are directly copied from poe (lvl 1-20 skill gems with up to 5 supports, item mods, very similar numbers etc) and honestly i respect that more than making a shitty system like every other arpg. it also has mapping and an atlas tree with actually good league mechanics, some are very inspired by poe and others are not.
its very free2play friendly, you dont need stash tabs like in poe. i would definitely recommend giving it a try if you arent bothered by the anime look (and especially if you are a fan of the animated breast)

I've gotten to SSF on a Deadeye and I'm getting raped because I have no damage and no defense.
I want to do the hourglass farm in Trials of Sekhema for relics/ rares. Do I have to burn a Djinn Bara every time I log out of the first room if it isn't hourglass, or does the first room reset completely every time I log?
Any other farming methods for an LA Deadeye that was completely cruisy in campaign and is not getting stomped in T1 maps?

for some reason flat ele rolls in this game are much weaker than poe1, they are about 42% of the poe1 number while phys rolls are almost the same as in poe1, maybe 80% as strong when you consider that bases are weaker.
