cammy can still punish throws into sideswitch totally meterless with meterless divekick, its just unsafe now like every other throw punish. and if you're not willing to risk it you can do the ex divekick for two bars and not get the side switch but still be safe on block which is a million times better than every other throw punish in the game still that is unsafe on block and likely doesn't sideswitch. being able to ex dp drive rush now is also a big buff. no sideswitch definitely feels a lot different but shes not much weaker.

I think I know why they won't add throw protection on wakeup.
If wakeup jab beat throws like in most other SF games, then you could just counterhit jab into a heavy or medium and do a big combo, making jabs super strong. And ever since sf4, they were terrified of the game becoming a jabfest. Not to mention coutnerhit confirm combos blowing up throw loops would be a display of skill, something capcom doesn't want in this game.

short answer is its busted and you will enjoy your fireball drive rush
it depends on the fireball strength, but if you're close enough, the drive rush is fake even if you don't get the perfect parry.
if the guile knows his spacing, then your only answer, besides trying to get in yourself and out of neutral, is to try to perfect parry. the parry is kinda random because you often don't have enough time to watch the fireballs come at you and just have to parry at some random timing when you see his boom startup and predict what strength he used.

No. Arcade Edition came out in 2018 and was little more than a name change to show the fact the game finally received an Arcade Mode, it didn't include any DLC that was out at the time.

What is closer to what you want is Champion Edition.
Champion Edition came out in 2020 and had every character and stage and most costumes that existed up to that point, though the game received ulterior updates, with Season 5 and some more costumes.

Champion Edition has 40 characters, 34 stages, 200+ costumes.

The Season 5 pass is not included in Champion Edition. There's an "upgrade kit" that gives you the remaining 5 characters, 2 stages and 26 costumes, but as far as I know it's digital only.

if she does it at round start you can backdash and she will whiff or walk forward and block and itll be unsafe, you can neutral jump too.
Spacing is a 2 player endeavour, you can be at distances where they wont reach or will be unsafe.
Also even if she is safe you get a mix.
Theres better moves that are safer, plus or dont need to be spaced.

what if you can only get drive gauge when you take damage, and when you get to a certain HP, the drive gauge becomes full and you can activate it.

this ensures at least some good ol' honest street fighter is played out at least a portion of the match.

heck, you could even put unique skills and abilities behind the drive gauge to give characters more individuality.

what type of controller are you using? dont use analog sticks on a console controller, use the dpad.

A real issue would be Yoda in SC or Akuma in Tekken, these compromise the gameplay to bring in outsiders at the expense of the core audience.
SNK games are so much smaller and the audiences over lap so much tgat it just seems like something done in good faith.

I agree the slippery slope is an issue.
But the main motivation for guests is to sell out and bring in outsiders and Terry and Mai dont really do that because Capcom eclipse SNK and as fighting games go these companies audiences probably have the most overlap.
The lack of guests in season 1 makes me think this is a one off to coincide with CotW launch and thats it, leaks say next season is just SF characters.

The point is to give you an extra thing to react to. The benevolent purpose to this would be to add an extra check to try and overload an opponent's mental stack.
The real purpose is to give you something additional that is harder to react to, so that shitters can gamble in ways that will typically be successful at lower levels but reacted to at high level play. They want a retarded mashing gambling game but know they need the game to at least vaguely exist at a high level.

every crmp is whiff punishable. you just have to use sweep to punish instead of your own crmp. even s1 luke was punishable, although still difficult even with sweep. cammy and luke got slapped first because theirs have the most range and lukes was also the fastest for some reason. ken's is the stubbiest and is only 1 frame faster than luke's crmp. cammy got hit extra hard but i think capcom is just experimenting if they want everyone to have luke, cammy, or ryu/ken crmp. i expect the season 2 patch makes them all identical and punishable with crmp. they want this game to be as streamlined as possible and that means every crmp needs to have identical counterplay and every whiff punish in the game needs to start with crmp.

kino moments like this just aren't possible with SF6. everyone takes it too seriously and wants to "make up" for years of being casual. Actual casuals will just drive impact each other constantly since it's an unbeatable invincible attack, and then when they learn that drive impact beats itself it becomes a shitty game of chicken. Like playing smash brothers and constantly pausing the game when the opponent is trying to get back onto the stage.

I really hate to agree or acknowledge a crabba, but content creation for this game is utter garbage. The best sfv ones have massively slowed down and no one has stepped up to take their place. Like it or not having charismatic personalities around a game helps it so much these days. Even the shittiest games can be carried by a good community.

I can't help but feel like the core issue is deeper than that. There are way worse games than sf6 inside and outside the fgc that have a community. Besides it seems everything is popping off in japan, so why not in the west? Japan has shitty taste but our average isn't that much better. I have accepted that I'll never be in the 1900 MR bracket. You have to be in a populated region like NY or CA, otherwise you'll just be fighting for 5 MR increments constantly.
