Season 5 jive is easily the best SF at high level

2: pure kusoge, even if you banned Vega there's still horseshit unblockables, random stun, constant slowdowns, and vortexes

Alphas: 2 has custom combo and and 3 has v-ism, the two most kusoge mechanics in SF history. I've never seen people play alpha 1 in tournament, Clayton says it's better than 2 so maybe.

3s: Dominated by two characters at top level, both which are fine with stalling to build meter and in general playing like degenerates. Yun Sa3 is insanely retarded.

4: Vortexes, DP fadc, retarded characters. Compare a 4 match to 5, whiff punishes are much less common, hit confirms are much less common. What is more common are the players doing mickey setups and neutral skips. Yun and Elena both are top tier degenerate characters.

6: DR is retarded both in neutral and from buttons, throw loops, PP, extreme homogenization, damage is too high, gameplan is button DR into corner rape.

Jive: Peak SF, huge emphasis on hit confirming and ground game, varied cast, but nothing game breaking, no vortex, no throw loops, just clean oki and heavy neutral play. Hated by the community, which should tell you everything

While it is a buff on block they also reduced the reward on hit.
Outside of hitting on 1st active frame it isnt changed, I feel like divekick is worse in 6 it seems harder to space when I tried her and I see high level players mess it up a lot too.

The composer isn’t one guy, he’s a team/band. And some tracks like fete forriaine and pao pao thst fans admit are nice are probably done by one of the memebers. World tour has entirely a urban hip hop feel to it until you get to Nayshal where the team goes full Indian/Asia continent style for music. For character themes they have to be dynamic but as what this place, myself and others have seen. It’s just all over the place since it’s for specific characters, in world tour they don’t have the limit. Ambience is also a mood they strike for when out of combat and it’s fuckin unreal a track like this exists in SF6

thats what im trying to say, it seems capcom wants cammy to just spam regular divekicks to get gauge regen, or od because it is safe.
for hk, being -3 on block makes it always safe, a change that literally no cammy asked for. they also made mp easier to spam with less pushback, so depending on spacing you can get mp mp lk arrow, etc.
so basically, capcom seems happy to remove any nuance or options away from cammy, and just make her spam buttons or divekicks.
both could be strong or weak, there are many ways to nerf things, for me it just makes cammy more boring

Capcom claims it takes 3 months for one guy to make a costume.
If they just had 10 guys on the outfit team thatd be 40 costumes in a year.
Isnt base game and year 1 a total of 20 characters?
So the fact they cant put out a pack in a year means we know they have less than 5 people working on outfits.

I dont make lobbies because I already see how the matches are going to play out. Drive rush, PP, DI, etc... Its the same shit as playing ranked. At least with SFV there were different play styles and all the unique v-skill and v-triggers and different visual stimuli with the huge amount of costumes, it was just better.

Considering her story I'd hope she'd be more serious. The only time I thought she was kinda cool was when she was confronting JP. She had a lot of potential, but of course she just does all the safe black things. Graffiti, sneakers and music, the numbers to show that she's smart. Fighting against people has become cumbersome enough for me that World Tour is genuinely more fun. I enjoy making weird characters and mixing up different moves and clothing abilities, to the point where World Tour is now 80% of my playtime in the game. When you don't have shitlords who DQ all the time and just get to beat up NPCs, the game feel is actually really fun.
I'm probably one of the few people who enjoy every month having new shit for avatars.

It's possible Street Fighter is profitable considering the games budget couldn't have been THAT massive, but Capcom fucking wants 10 million sales by the end of the games lifespan which isn't impossible but that tells you how they really feel about what they want out of Street Fighter.

Is Terry considered that good post buffs? I think he's pretty good now but you've got dudes like ryu who are more balanced and stable while putting out better damage and dudes like ken who still pump out better corner positioning off of any hit, while Terry still has drive impact issues in neutral and stuff. The combination of hitting 3K damage easily+good corner carry is good definitely as is burn knuckle when you make it work

This is also the other unfortunate thing, because of Capcom's asinine approach to SF6's entire game design, any sort of "emergent" gameplay elements just gets patched out so they don't have to deal with the headache of any outside development they couldn't account for, they don't even want shit to happen organically it has to "by the books" only.

Which gets defeated by a customer just buying a guy they like then not spending a penny more outside of maybe characters they need to lab against. Let's not forget being able to make alt Steam accounts and just bouncing to the other account when you feel the itch to play Omega Guile on your alt account in SF7:Freedom Edition versus Baby Akuma and Kid Gouken on your main ranked one.

Even for costumes that's a risk because you have to go All-in for it and just hustle with no shame in the world since Fighters don't have much monetization options. People still fight in the [Padded Cell] even if you make stages with minimal distractions or rendering strain.

It's impossible to account for every 1-frame link, block string+gap and many new ones form up during the addition of new characters and frame data changes. Dropping Cody's St.mk from 8 frames to 7 in Jive ended up cementing it as a god button because so much shit got enabled by that one change. Even if it wasn't instant, every later frame data change on him indirectly added to the power of that kick to the point it ended up in the state we have today.
