What exactly should I be looking for on maps to make MFing worth it? I'm over 350% magic find and most of my maps are still total fucking garbage. I look for at least 60% rarity and some quant on the map right now, I ran probably 30 of those today with tableted breaches in them (breach tree fully specced) at T15+ without seeing divs drop. I got some annuls but that was it. Is 60% on the map just not enough to be worth running or is there something else I'm missing that I should be doing?

In Keth he had followers but I'm guessing that since him and Innocence are tied in Divinity that maybe peoples belief in Innocence keep him empowered. (Sanctum relics talk about him being forced into Divinity by Innocence's rise to it.)

Yes. You might call that slot-machining but at the end of the day, how the fuck do they balance around people just crafting precisely what they want?

A zone is just a zone. You're on a sugar high from POE1 Atoll/Dunes/City Square farming. Level yourself out.

Early access is literally ongoing, and they're about to return from holiday break.

They show you where the rare is. Teleporting the boss to your location makes no sense, especially if there are other mobs left. Or, in the case of a Ledge-styled map, why the fuck would they teleport the end-run monsters to your location??!

Have already found 2 and I've barely begun scouting around. Plus, they're based around existing boss encounters. Go in geared. Simple.

you want like 100 mf then you get as strong as you can without sacrificing more power for MF and start adding MF when you arent sacrificing kill speed. Quantity is probably better than MF. needs more testing to actually see what sort of diminishing returns or multiplicative scaling there is if any on mf and map mods.

My personal anecdote is that I saw a big difference in exalts by getting around 80% MF, and was getting good drops whenever breach procced extra hands in a good tower cluster with lots of breach tablets.

Later on I set up a mahuxotl for 400% and there was no difference I could notice in raw currency drops, but I did get way more shitty uniques for chance shards.

I'm relatively new and have found several pairs of Corpsewade Greaves. I want to make a build out of these. I do not however want to be a Pathfinder. Why? Mostly, I just want to make something a little different despite that being THE poison Ascendancy.

If you have good relics sanctum is a joke (merchant choice, honor resist, water per room) since you should end with half the major boons in game and all of the minor ones.

Otherwise trialmaster boss is one of the easiest in game as long as you can tank one 3-4k phys hit every so often.

Poison does chaos damage, but not all chaos damage is poison.

Scaling chaos damage will not scale poison damage unless the original hit that poisons is chaos. In fact all ailment damage can only be scaled by the original hit or specific magnitude.

Chaos DOT witch exists, but they don't rely on poison outside of maybe adding some chance to poison to add a single extra chaos DOT for wither totems. Poison is probably less than 5% of their damage.

Account got hacked and items stolen despite GGG locking the account.

I logged in this morning and realized that all of my gear was gone. I easily had 50-80div worth of gear. The divines in my stash, multiple items in my stash that I had crafted that I had listed for sale were also gone. I went to send support an email and saw that GGG had sent me an email around 2am CST stating that someone had tried to access my account and they provided me with a code to input stating that my account had been locked and that I would need this code to be able to log in to the game again.

I play primarily through steam and not the standalone client, so I don't know if the Standalone is the only client that requires the code, but I was not prompted to input this code. I would also like to note that the password for my email, and the password for my PoE account are different and I did not have a security alert from Google about any other logins to my email.

I did have a few VERY specific items for sale in my stash, and I have found several of them listed on trade already. While I can't prove that the current owner of these items is the one that initially took them from me, it's possible. I've emailed support the screenshots of the items listed, and I'm hoping that because the account was not actually locked as their email said, that I might be able to get my account rolled back.

How on earth is GGG going to send an email stating my account has been locked for security reasons, and then those security measures not even work at all? Super bummed out right now as I just hit 92 last night and got my Spark and OOS to 20 and was going to start pushing some harder end game stuff. #feelsbadman

I'd also like to note that I've changed (as of now) my steam password, and my PoE password, and I've turned on 2FA (which I didn't know the standalone had until now). I hope that whoever took my stuff steps on a lego, has an itch they can't scratch, and sneezes so hard they shit themselves.

What'd you do with your atlas? It's all bait early on except more yellow and blue mobs. Also make sure your filter highlights precursor tablets. The default filter makes it very easy to leave them on the ground.

to give you a serious answer here, these are my defensive layers on my WH:
>~70% evasion after sorcery ward and wind dancer
>~2100 sorcery ward (I don't have the 2nd node, but can respec to it for bosses for over 3k ward)

with all of that I almost never die on my wh, the stuff that kills me is when I fuck up and fail to dodge boss slams and stuff that ignores evasion anyways. I have like 45% chaos resist too, chaos damage is a fucking meme in this game it's nothing.

my tree goes up to the monk section of the tree where you can get 16% in a node cluster up there. you can also get 4% on jewels, but they're the blue caster jewels so they aren't really good for us otherwise, so I only use one.

Yeah. I guess. I sort of was ignoring that one because the scaling potential is just.. Get as much as you can and it just acts independently. I was looking for ways to get minion attack speed for using with the one handed mace and it was literally just the jewels, and you can't double dip with a jewel that has +att speed and +minion att speed so that seems like a total stitch up. Then I went looking through the rest of the affixes and it feels REALLY anemic. Seems like you have better access to + to skills on minions than other achetypes, but stat stackers can get breach rings with a bajillion stats, spellcasters have more mana than you can throw a stick at... Cast speed is on amulets rings and spellcaster weapons but attack speed is just gloves and the weapon.. I don't know the affix pools just feel really unbalanced in favor of spellcasters and stat stackers - which probably partially explains those builds being obscenely good right now.

Oh thanks. That's actually the mace I'm using, gonna dual wield it and wanted to see if the att speed bonus could stack if you dual wield it (not holding my breath) but there's zilch on the tree for minion attack speed and the jewels cap out at +4% and you can't get it with +4% to your own attack speed so its at best zero sum. I was hoping corrupting it could get it to +4 but wasn't sure what the rounding rules were.

People complain about builds being brokenly OP right now but you have to understand the game is literally tuned for them. Tanky or slow builds do not work with the state GGG left the game in before holiday vacation, you either play a one shot build or inevitably get one shot by some gimmicky/near-invisible dogshit mechanic like on deaths or poorly implemented volley skills with +3000% skill speed.

Slow builds have never been welcome in POE. Breach, Delirium, Incursion, Abyss, Scourge, Legion, Blight, Heist, Synthesis are all time-sensitive and require fast, high damage builds in order to do their mechanics.

I've been enjoying Corpsewade + Poison Nova. It has incredible synergy for mapping. Lots of fun. I've actually been trying to figure out a way to replicate this but through Chaos Witch, because that's what my favorite POE 1 chaos Witch looked like with Contagion. But there's absolutely no real Chaos support at the moment and it feels like Chaos Spells currently have garbage tier base dmg to begin with.

Despair with chaos dot from int, explosion on death, increased curse effect.
Essence drain with poison, scattershot, increased ailment reduced hit.
Contagion with seal, consume ailment for increased damage, increased aoe.

In that order, kill the enemies inflicted and watch it spread.

Not that anon, but this is similar to my own build and it's much slower compared to just pressing Poison Nova and watching it spread via Decompose which builds up the charges again for another tap.
I don't think it's possible to make that effective a build for Chaos at this moment.

Pretty much. Get more currency to experiment more with the "crafting" or just hope you get good drops. Or trade what currency you have for better loot, depending on your league.

Alternatively, work toward some kind of specific item that will dramatically change your build up.

Melee (maces specifically) are bad at clearing but good at bosses. You spend more time mapping than bossing so they're on average shit. When we get a str weapon with usable clear skills and a real defensive aura melee will be good.

Contagion is slower than Poison Nova. Pathfinder has two poison ascendancies for scaling damage, not including Conc which you can use for single target. But the tree is close enough to Witch to also make use of Minions to switch to Minion later on.

Pathfinder is superior in every way. And I fucking hate it. I want my Witch to feel like my Contagion Witch from POE 1. Instead Pathfinder plays exactly like that, there you run through maps and everything dies around you without you really needing to do anything.

Evasion is overshadowed by ES but it's really a very strong layer. The idea that evasion leaves you vulnerable to getting popped by random ass whites is straight up misunderstanding how the mechanic actually works, evasion is extremely good at dealing with large packs.

The weakness of evasion is ironically the big melee slams that bosses and heavy mobs do that ignore evasion, which armour also does jackshit to help with. So armour is just not a good extra layer of defense for evasion.

Acrobatics is very strong but it's also pretty overrated. The game wants you to manually avoid kill AoEs and no layer is truly efficient at answering it.
There're a few strategies now that generally want to avoid acrobatics anyways. Sorcery Ward and Protect Me From Harm being the obvious ones.

There is more to acrobatics than meets they eye.
A guy with 6k ES will get instantly obliterated because when running into barely visible (ex: in delirium fog) 10 staking ground elemental explosions, while the acrobatics guy with only 2k but 80% eva will avoid 8 of them thanks to entropy and survive easily.

It's a mechanically easy fight the problem is mostly just getting buttfucked by movement speed afflictions
It's also a dps check because he has a lot of hp so you have to have a reasonable enough amount of damage to kill him before the stage gets overwhelmed with mechanics that tick your honor down to 0

Demon Form is actually the saviour on this, but it takes a bit to get it running
It's pretty good even without the bugged snapshotting

Honestly I feel like, unlike Warrior/mace which has a ton of support options, chaos simply needs Assassin or the other DoT stuff to come out and itll become good.
EDC also has never been a good bosser, and it's clear with 2x damage from Demon Form is pretty good, so if that power can be translated to additional gem options in the future, I think that'd be good because right now you're relying on gimmick stuff like Minion Pact or Ailment Consume stuff, and Swift Affliction is really good but feels kinda dogshit. No reason for it to have -25% less duration.

Some changes that would greatly benefit from this:
Controlled Destruction back to 30% more spell damage at the cost of not critting, making it work with chaos dot spells.
Swift Affliction rather then % more damage and 25% less duration, make it so that Damage over Time deals damage 30% faster.
A new DoT support that makes skills deal no hit damage, but get 50% more damage over time. Since poison clouds are based off of hit damage from weapons, they don't benefit from this. This would also benefit Incinerate a lot (a cool skill that is completely useless numerically and unredeemable)

More methods to apply Withering Touch passively would be nice too. Perhaps adding a small minor hit portion to Contagion, or a new notable that says that targets have 1 stack of wither per chaos damage over time effect.
Effigy Totem (essentially wither totems) could be a bit tankier as well since it's clear their intended use is to be wither totems. Perhaps a new totem support that makes them really tanky like 100% more life and 50% PDR at the cost of doing 80% less damage.

I'm sure they'll figure it out, or someone makes an unique that will.

I tried making a version with the Hexer's robe by stacking as much mana as I could and it worked, but roughly near the end of acts and starting to map I started getting stunned constantly due to low life and ran into major mana issues because of the MoM downside.
It was just not comfy to play

The dupes, the MF, all of this stuff has been a boon to the game and will be long term.
People were fed up playing the currency meta and started enmasse play SSF and it seems like the majority of the people playing SSF is really enjoying the game as opposed to the majority of tradeplayers just hating life.

Maybe they will balance around SSF a bit more now that people have had a taste, much like how earlier PoE1 before Act3 was released was balanced around Hardcore

The way people play it is not taking the infernal flame node and instead pick every ES node on the tree and ignore any damage nodes
The aim is for 200+ demon form stacks which is roughly 3600% increased spell damage. Going out of your way to get 10-30% more is not going to impact your damage at all.
This way you can get up to 6-10k ES even with 1-2x ming's heart.

It forces you to respect content you would otherwise not go for.
The dynamic of currency and the value of them changes as well.
You no longer equate for example catalysts or soulcores to their regular currency prices, but rather as their own thing.
You also no longer equate character power to regular currency prices. "If I get 2 more divine drops I'll be able to buy X item". Some people like that sort of deterministic grinding, but without it you approach the game and it's content in a different and in my opinion a more interesting way.

When I say SSF, I obviously meant the playstyle regardless of the ruling around it.
The tag itself is rather meaningless.
You could also play HC on trade and just delete your character if you die.
I stopped extensively using trade a few years ago because I just wanted to craft stuff myself even if they were bad items. The joy of grinding something specific and then using that specific stuff is something you lose if you go full-in on trade and I think this is something many people have experienced recently with the abundance of currency-centric trade strategies being forced into the "community".

Also people simply don't enjoy playing bad intentionally and tagging your character as SSF makes it so that feeling goes away entirely while also giving the same baseline experience as all other people that tagged with SSF.
That is the prime purpose of the option to select for it.
If I am SSF and you are too, I know we are tied to the same SSF rulings.
If you are Trade and I am Trade but SSF, it means our experiences differ.

I think this undermines a great power growth of your character or your account/experience in general.

The STR tree needs a complete overhaul. The Monk's tree is FANTASTIC, the Warrior's tree is a sick joke. Monk literally gets the nodes like More speed, More damage, More speed and damage. The warrior gets less speed on everything, just looking at it makes me wanna puke.

Actually I played crossbow WH and it felt good, right now i'm playing Monk just casually shattering the entire screens on mobs with infinite power charges and I feel like this BS needs to get nerfed. POE2 monk is the POE1 Deadeye, falling thunder is literally the POE1 Lightning Arrow with Greater Multiple Projectiles. Ass soon as you can sustain the power charges (mid Act 2) you can snap the game in half.

Crafting bench added with basic life/resistance crafts that they can leave as is or fill as they go. I want them to be very reluctant to just add it back in full. high level resistance/life crafts could cost divines creating a new sink
Runes in gear replacable. You can overwrite the current runes in an item by just placing a new rune on top of it, destroying the old one in the process, and salvaging an item with sockets returns socketed runes to you. This + Bench will smooth out the campaign game for a lot of people I think, especially new players.
Vaal and Chance orbs effect on items having a cool little animation to satisfy dopamine
Armour rework so that it works better against large physical hits.
A few more flat physical damage % DR notables around the bottom left portion, in general just throw shit on the passive tree. I hope they experiment with it.
I think energy shield stacking is really cool and feels impactful. Rather then outright killing it (at most nerfing some of the hybrid ES/Evasion ES/Armour nodes) I'd rather have something similair for the other 2.
Make magic find not work on currency
6 portals per boss. Map being removed on death is fine, but pinnacles should not be 1-and-done. It feels awful just to want to attempt it. Maybe have them reset the fight entirely upon death. Currently it just makes people go complete glasscannon to instantly phase bosses because that is the safest way to do them, rather then practicing them.

Im not sure about your question but yea there are boss-restricted unique drops and that is a good thing.
But you could get one such as the Hand of Wisdom and Action before ever even doing a breach giving you access to an insane item while being being able to obtain it yourself.

If you pick avatar of fire, %fire damage and %elemental damage increase your damage, but not %phys damage
If you want to deal all 3 types, %elemental damage, %melee damage (or %projectile) work. You can only boost the type of damage at the end of conversion, not before so no double dipping allowed

The first time I encountered the shield guys I instincitvely knew that this would fuck the majority of the people up.
The fire skeletons in the same zone fucking blast and have like 4-5 times more damage than anything else.
But they are not invincible. I dont think they should be this early into the game for a variety of reasons, but they are more managable than people make them out to be.
The funny part is that it the block on them becomes completely irrelevant after act1.

Try doing it on a spark sorc. Bow has it good.

elemental damage will boost your ability's damage. If at the of conversion, your ability's damage is elemental then it works.
In your example, explosive grenades has 80% physical to fire conversion by itself. So %elemental damage to attacks will boost the 80% fire part.
If you use avatar of fire to convert further, 75% of the remaining 20% phys will be converted to fire, and this portion will also be boosted by %elemental damage

Once I got two duplicate rares on a multiproj maps. One arrow and they would take 80% of my hp.
Took me 5 minutes to separate them and kill them carefully one by one.

Is Gemling Stacker even good compared to actual meta tier ascendencies? Just getting some extra HP to survive one more hit and a couple of passive nodes to get a small DPS boost doesn't seem outrageously OP. I also see people knock on Witchhunter for some reason as if bigget AoE, more trash clear, and huge bossing potential ain't everything a Ranged DPS subclass would want in this genre.
