>>5088878373rd Strike is a very fundamentally flawed piece of shit, where inaction will take you a long way. And resource dumping / coin flipping are the most dominant strategies.
These systems unironically carried over into SF4, SFV, SF6 in minor/major ways that most people are unaware of.
Focus? Opressive Oki? SF4 is a clone of SF3 but this time with SF2 characters and shit.
SFV and 6 are essentially the same game with slight changes, both of which are heavily coin flipper faggot titles for the dumbest of dumb competitive gooners.
Which is why to this day SF2 fundamentally is a better game despite its balance issues and over reliance on knowing. At its core its fun and deceptively simple.
Tekken cannot be compared to these 2D slop because the fundamental win conditions are different for this 3D fighter, you might think its similar because 5 and 6 introduced all this close ranged retarded cringe nonsense but the win conditions are very different. Tekken relying more on pressure and mix up.
SF6 relying more on hitconfirm, resource dumping and coin flips.
And yes mixups are different than coin flipping, in a mixup you can intuit and make accurate predictions of whats about to happen. When you flip a coin its a raw guess with hardly any information.
Which is why "take the throw" has become a very common saying in the SF scene.
