Just follow tower clusters and clear all of them before using tablets so the towers won't get juiced. Towers are worthless besides the tablet activation.

Why did GGG go so hard sucking ES's dick? You can double your ES, it's the only form of defence with recovery AND it has crazy scaling on the tree. Seems weird since they went so hard on recovery everywhere else

It's very obvious that they didn't test shit and just slammed whatever on the tree. There's no other explanation for why ES is still handled like in PoE1 but everything else was gutted to fit the "soulslike gameplay". It's completely nonsensical. And no, I'm not buying the early access excuse.

sorceress player wouldn't take those 8% increased spell damage node if it had the minion mod included, they would path outward though the stats node instead

Non schizo answer is you can't travel to hideouts unless you progress to a certain point in Act 1. So you had to go to town to complete the trade.
Azn people also tend to just leave their PC and games running on while they sleep.

Could also just be an alt account he's using to make trades on, because you have to "be online" for you stuff to be listed on the trade site, also doesn't have to leave his maps or trials to trade with people.

Reload speed is scaled by attack/skill speed as well as reload speed. If you have enough in combination, it's largely a non-issue aside from the glitch where your gun occasionally jams.

Witchhunter gets absolutely nothing to help this for some baffling reason but you can get the modifiers on gems and reload speed gems tend to be dirt fucking cheap since the stat is so specific.

it's a scam, that build can't natively deal with end game bosses, so you're going to need a clunky and expensive extrinsic setup in red maps (thief's torment and cast on shock, with skills, gem and gear swap before every boss)
enjoy swapping rings and auras before every end game boss, it's clunky and expensive but the guides won't tell you that

Not him, but I rerolled LA deadeye on a whim and I can already see that, and that's part of why I'm tempted to drop the character. Was tempted to keep playing if I can swap LA to be good clear. I just simply miss good ol' LA GMP Chain from PoE 1. But LA in PoE 2 seems to be a pretty weak skill–completely reliant on the lightning rod bullshit.

When you plant the large soul core in the device that opens the Waterways you get an immediate shift in his VAs voice. He does from "Wow what a pretty jungle!" "the benevolent dreamer will help everyone!" to narrating like a detective from a noire movie "This drowned city is not dead, something hiding in there" the voice itself changes and it's a very sudden jump.

IMO it would massively add to the game if each ascendancy had different flavor lines. Bonus point for the "Inner Silence" Zalupa ascendancy point removing the character's voice. It would be perfect.

Blood Mage and Infernalist should totally have completely different lines.

Yeah thankfully my first blind character is actually good but clunky, but doesn't instantly kill pinnacles so as a consequence arbiter is a bad idea to redo. Tanky, not fast but not too slow, clears well and clears t18 breaches no problem. Maybe I'll go back to it. With so little choice amongst skills and rerolling sucks, mostly lost interest in rerolling again.

I'm well aware of orb + rob + la on bosses. But clearing is just annoying. Rod + LA just feels shit. Much rather 1button gammmmming for just trash clear. To highlight: LA by itself is incredibly weak, but you add rods and it's multiple times stronger. Bad design I think–too extreme.

I only found good shields on my vendors and nothing else for warrior. of course there was always some rare crossbow, bow and int gear for sale

well I'd first need to have some regals and exalts for that and on my act 1 playthrough I got 0 (zero) exalts, 1 regal drop, the other 2 regals I had were from disenchanting and shards from bosses.

not enough gold. I did gamble for some weapons, all shit. rings and amulet prices are obscene.
I tried everything I could. the only thing I didn't do is go kill the act1 boss again, does it drop good loot on repeated kills? regardless I already uninstalled but maybe that was what I had to do, repeatedly kill bosses.

I could at least try to justify it if all the new classes had good content and mechanics but no. Half the mechanics they added are poorly implemented or are just overall bad. Maces are the only weapon to have a significant wind up on all their damage and yet they get no compensation for this. Their damage is lower than a monk, they don't have a hyper armour on attacks nor does stacking life come close to ES shields. The entire passive tree is a mess with the bottom half having trade offs whilst the top is nearly all pure buffs.

I'm 95% sure that it's just a skeleton crew working on POE1 given the state of POE2 and how far behind schedule they are. Worse still despite the plethora of league mechanics they had in their previous game they seem determined to ignore it and keep repeating the same bullshit the community already called them out for. I really hope that GGG patches the Mana Cost for Attack Skills.

Seriously, it increasing by 12.5% per Level is absolutely insane. I could potentially get a level 39 Gas Arrow, which would be 100% more than my current level 25 Gas Arrow, but I don't want to because it would make the mana cost go from 145 (which is already steep) to a whooping 713. How the hell am I supposed to sustain 713 Mana per attack? BEFORE THE MULTIPLIERS! Realistically we are looking at 1026 Mana Cost per attack. I don't even HAVE 1026 mana. If I were to run Inspiration, that basically means losing 30% more damage in order to reduce it to 615... Which I could far more easily by simply dropping a few Gem Levels.

STOP TALKING ABOUT THE STUPID INSPIRATION GEM! IT'S BAD! Like, terribly bad.

40% is nothing. That's literally 4 Gem Levels. Which amounts to 21% more damage. You would be BETTER OFF ditching 4 Gem levels and using a normal support gem.

No that's almost entirely it. The only real skill right now is learning to identify valuable bases and modifiers. There are ways to manipulate your crafting but they're so expensive that only organized groups are actually doing it and a layman is always better off just selling such material if they find it

Deadeye doesn't do that much for spiral volley because it doesn't really benefit from extra projectiles or tailwind. Might be better than invoker regardless since tailwind is ridiculous in a vacuum but not by so much to level a new character. Just take your defensive nodes and maybe adapt CoC to it since your snipe will probably have inevitable critical anyways

It took PoE1 a long time to get things right, but in the end it was a combination of these things that made melee viable:

- Melee abilities do significantly more damage baseline to compensate for the inherent risk in melee (Settlers league patch damage effectiveness buff on all melee abilities)

- Fortify offering significant damage reduction that is only available to melee in actual practice

- Accesible ways to heavily mitigate or become immune to CC effects and debuffs that melee are significantly more affected by (freeze/stun/shock)

- Strong leech ensuring that as long as you continue attacking you will have a significant source of recovery, making it far less punishing to risk getting hit at all - something that melee inherently needs to do much more than range - resulting in much higher overall damage uptime, and less running around in circles desperately avoiding attacks and trying to find a window to get a few hits in.

- Fast attack speeds and attack animations that lock you in place only for short durations, that only scale higher and higher the further you get in progression.

PoE2, rather than ending up as the 'melee fix' sequel, is in a place where it needs to learn from the remedies that PoE1 implemented over many years of experimentation to finally get melee into a good state in its most recent league. It feels like PoE2 has learned nothing from the solutions implemented by the devs to the melee problem in PoE1 over the last few years.

you are right about this.
they used to do races, you got points that would unlock various alt-art items. there were also demigod uniques rewarded to top ranking racers.
a few leagues ago ggg changed the alt-art items to be convertible into mtx skins, you consume the alt-art item and it accountbinds the skin to your mtx collection.

No, so the way current skin transfers work if you can apply an in game item to another item, like you fuse them together, you keep the stats of the original item, but take on the appearance of the new.
Want your generic rare bow to look like some cool unique one from the game? Skin Transfer.
Then when you're done, you can separate and unfuse them.
Some people use this system to "Store" items.

"Vanishing Dye" is a different system, that just hides the item slot, so you can hide all your armor and see the characters default appearance (one from the starting screen)
So if you wanna show the witches feet instead of your equipped boots, you equip 1 Vanishing Dye MTX into your boot slot.

Yeah, it's non-existent at the moment. But so was POE 1 crafting back in the early days, which you couldn't really call crafting either. POE 1 built up it's crafting system through years and years. Of course, they now have all of that information and "experience" so we should hopefully expect more depths soon. Hopefully.

There are two easy routes:
Ice nova, frost bomb, cold snap, frost wall, comet
Incinerate, solar orb, fireball, srs
I've been doing the fire route since I already did the ice route on sorc. It's pretty nice. Just need a +3 spells staff and maybe get some on amulet too.
I plan to change to hexblast and temporal chains type stuff at 60+.

There's no tooltip indicating when it activates, and the actual bonus is more or less 6% total bonus on a 60kdps skill when I look at the dps menu on maps.
Maybe I'm retarded but they don't seem THAT good.

One small damage node is usually 8%, 10% for elemental damage. Critical nodes are 10%. So that one big node is equal to 4 small nodes

I've got 3k on my scuffed non str stacking gemling with that node that doubles the properties of stats. I do have about 400 str but that was trying to make use of Giants blood at a basic level, it's not really tennable for what I want so I'm back to 1 handers for attack speed. Don't have any fancy soul cores either, only level 80.

compare it to other nodes to find out if thats good or not.
crit chance ofc doesnt do much without crit damage and vice versa making crit a more mid-lategame choice for most builds

Yes. Best defense is offense, mobs can't kill you if you kill them first
But if you're constantly getting oneshot you also need some actual defenses (ES)

When does merc or crossbows get good? I'm just finishing act 3 and my playstyle has been ice shot into freeze into fragment shot with herald of ice for 3 full acts and it's so garbage against anything that's not packs. The skill nodes also force you to rush the crossbow reload so it doesn't feel as awful to wait 3 seconds between shots.
Just garbage all around for 40 levels.

I'm at 2k Life/ES with 60+ evasion, acrobatics, 50 allres, 20% armor, -20%crit, Ghost shroud and Wind dancer.

If you're 1 handing, shield charge stuns like crazy and instantly applies it. I think leap slam has bigger stun buildup, and I know rolling slam has also increased stun buildup on the first hit.
You can probably pick any skill (ideally mostly phys or melee tagged) and just give it supports to make it stun and break armour on stunning.

HoWA stats stay as is but it blocks any other source of damage from applying. That way it doesn't automatically become BiS for any non-slam attack build and it enables some unique weapon crafting where now the suffixes become top priority.
You'd have to nerf Pillar in some other way as well, make it only apply to phys damage like PoE1 idk

It's not true 52% damage reduction on physical attacks.

The way armor works works on a downward scale, if the hit is small, the percent reduced is large, but if the hit is large, the percent reduced is small. This means that armor is only ever useful in the places you don't really need it to be useful. And that % of armor, will constantly go down the higher monsters you fight. Not only that, but most boss monsters have a stat called "Overwhelm". This means that, that 1k damage suddenly becomes 2k damage. And the percent you can reduce gets considerably smaller. With life nodes being non-existent which also makes high life rolls exorbitantly expensive, it's rare to see people with 5k life, let alone higher unless they're a Gemling or health stacked Blood Mage. Neither of which usually use armor. Instead, Armor is reserved for the most part by melee Warriors. Who can't get to that level of life. My Titan, with almost BiS gear has 7k life. I've been one-shot despite that on some maps and against most pinnacle bosses.
But Gemling has consistently tanked their biggest hits like it was nothing.
Armor is the WORST way to defensively layer yourself.

It was good all the way through the campaign for me. Started using it at level one, and kept using it all the way through. 20% Pillar with 3 Rune Slots, all with Ice Runes. Flat Damage on both rings and gloves, swap out one for Polcirkeln if you can afford it. Stack STR alone. One tap an entire screen with Herald of Ice. One tapped most bosses all throughout the campaign. Skipped straight to t10 maps the second I completed the campaign.

Once I got the gloves too, it became absurd.

Sorry, anon. I don't think it'll ever get better. You get more than that with only a handful of STR levels, making it worthless. You need flat damage for the scaling to work. You use Ice or Lightning runes depending on what you want to scale for the elemental conversions on heralds, which trigger those passives. Then flat phys on rings and gloves to scale those with the 10000% you get from STR stacking.

I tried it at 47, it's going to be very disappointing.
To reduce your pain you're definitely going to want that little cluster that reduces the time it takes to curse an enemy (in poe2 curses take 1 second to take effect).
