Hello, explanation of the shield exploit here.

tl;dr, buy a Mahuxotles with highest soul core % roll, the 3rd socket making it expensive doesn't matter at all.

Mahuxotl's Machination is applying its buffs to all soul cores socketed into gear that you do not meet requirements for. Most likely logic is that gear you don't have attributes for anymore is unassigned from you and the shield is seeing free floating cores as part of itself.

1. Put on as much hybrid gear that you almost don't meet stat requirements for, try to get 2 sockets for cores.

2. Allocate your stats to reach threshold in weapon set 1. Do not allocate them in set 2.

3. Equip mahuxotl.in set 1. When you weapon swap any gear that goes red will have its soul core effect multiplied by 7 or so when you swap back to set 1.

You can use this for MF, but there are reports that extreme levels overflows back to no loot, and most people have noted diminishing returns past the first 1 or 2 hundred.

Instead I'm using boots + shield for MF putting me at around 400 IIR, and my chest is Morior with mana slots. Mahuxotl with 5 mana cores is giving me around 70% increased mana, basically the same as double dream fragments + perfect ingenuity.

Remember, you do NOT need a 3 socket mahuxotl for this, you can buy a cheap "bricked" highroll for a few div instead.

Or you could spend for a special "brick" roll that pushes the core multi past 666, and you can get close to 10x soul core multiplier on all your gear.

Asked last thread but got not responses so I present to you the REAL reason Scion was removed from the game.
The other women just couldn't compete.
Onto my question though, has anyone been able to get gear above ilvl 75 from expedition? Wanted to do some Rog crafting but can't seem to get above 75. Didn't know if there was a specific level requirement for it, or just for now can't get higher (it's only +6 energy shield max, so not the end of the world.)

I got a 220 widowhail and a +2 quiver and had no trouble going all the way to 15s on basic gear after that. Only issue is if you want to play it off the 1st ascension mana flask charges are a problem.

I tried chaos witch too, but honestly it felt pretty bad with how shit the auto targeting on contagion still is so I changed to demon hexblast and that was fun, but it's not a dot build.

Minion doesn't really work at the moment unless you go SRS. You use the Warrior Sceptre and then sacrifice Warriors using Pain Offering to make your RS and Arsonists powerful. I was getting over 1 Million DPS before I quit that build cos I thought it was boring.

It just takes actually checking the reports, because the hacks involve people who used literally every overlay under the sun and also none at all. The one overlay that gets most of the blame is also the least likely to have anything because as bad a reputation Overwolf has, hosting and promoting literal data stealing content would get their asses sued into bankruptcy in multiple countries. The one common theme with most reports is that most victims used trade a lot and had a decent amount of wealth, so the hackers are probably going after people they know have expensive shit.

This is either hackers parsing data from third party data breaches or an actual exploit with GGG's shitty login functionality.

To add to this, there's some weird timeline shit happening with the expedition guys where they actually meet you in the future of the poe2 timeline but have traveled back to the past to help with the Vaal apocalypse shit in the EA endgame, probably just to invent a story reason why they're there when we won't actually meet them until the later acts. I exclusively played SSF in POE 1, but I barely touched it in POE 2 once I realized there was effectively no crafting.

And I only got even more salty about SSF once I realized how powerful IIR was and that the game is basically balanced around it, which is near impossible to get a good amount of in SSF.

a 3 socket 2 hander is potentially 45 spirit, so you can potentially get 300-400 spirit off the shield multiplying a 2 weapons cores

Im playing blood mage with frostbolt + cold snap and its going just fine. Was rough until i got 4th ascendancy pts for extra es-hp from body armour.
The key is to maintain tempo of killing / looting orbs to refill. Biggest issue is being overwhelmed which i mitigate with frost bomb and ice nova unleash.
I was doing cast on freeze comet but it was unpredictability chunking mana/life so i swapped to orb of storms which proce constantly, allowing for high uptime shocks on enemies.
I played around with lightning warp with elemental discharge, and i think that has HUGE potential, but its jank on CoF

I had fun playing my frankenstein deadeye build through the campaign, spent 40 ex on gear upgrades to cap resists, went into maps and im just taking mystery damage out of nowhere. most of my pieces are just raw evasion cause the mixed pieces were too expensive so i dont have much of an es buffer

I can tell this game needed to be delayed by another year. I know it's EA but holy fuck man. This procedurally generated endgame is just fucking lazy. Just fucking lazy. You can tell by the nervous demeanor of Johnathon at each delay that these guys were nowhere near close to finishing development and the lazy ass endgame is proof of that, it was created at the last minute as a placeholder. There is no way anyone is impressed by the endgame if they at least have a triple digit IQ. I hope the game turns out well but right now I don't care. I was getting used to PoE 1 and honestly I'll probably just play the next league unless a significant portion of PoE 2 is updated and the remaining acts, weapons, skills, supports etc are added to the game. PoE 1 was fun in comparison but something about 2 just isn't fun. It's a lot of things good or bad but it's definitely not fun. I don't believe a single person playing PoE 2 has had any genuine fun, I really don't.

Put multi projectile on flash grenade until you get explosive shot then put multi projectile on that. Put plague support and poison breaks armor support on gas grenade when you get gas grenade.

Early combo is frozen shot until enemy is completely frozen then shotgun blast it for extra damage.

Consider using 2 crossbows and making use of weapon swap talents in the mid to end game so you can dedicate 24 talents to separate abilities

it does. the problem is you have to stand still for a moment and do an attack instead of that passive shit i nthe video with the spark mage. but warrior AoE with titan can kill stuff off screen in all directions with 1 attack right now, im pretty sure its not intended, the good news is it will be an easy fix because its only 1 thing interacting with talents in probably an unintended way right now, so warrior leap slam clear will be untouched and in general player power will probably be brought more in line with that sort of power.

Warrior is unironically top tier once they nerf and remove all the stupid broken retarded shit with ES, blink roll around entire map, archmage spark trash, and nerf ranger a bit. If they do that.
Warrior is honestly fine and it blows my mind people think it's shit when it clears the screen in one slam and one shots any boss/rare.
The only knock against it is the builds are all samey and any warrior bar is going to be the same shit. It's very much D3/4. That's not a warrior problem tho that's a poe 2 problem in general.

Curse Hexblast probably. Take the node where if you curse enemise they get hindered. Then take all slow magnitude. Then take the spirit skill where all curses are in an aura around you. Use Temporal Chains.
For damage take nodes that increase spell damage and increased damage against enemies with ailments.

Insanely high attack speed means the reload support gives you 80% more damage per reload, if you can fit 2 reloads in 6 seconds its a 160% more damage multiplier. At multimirror investment with astra you can probably get to 3 or more reloads every 6 seconds.

Shockburst rounds has an extremely high dps on shocked enemies so the idea is to enable that for bosses and have clear with a separate skill. It's not an extremely strong build in context of the larger meta but it's good enough to beat all the content available on low budget comfortably.

Usually people use galvanic shards to clear packs and plasma blast to set up on bosses but you have other options.

Try grenades too, they're stronger than lightning for 99% of the game but fall off in the very late game. You might like them better. Explosive shot focus is good too if you like it while levelling with it but it might be expensive to scale

Actually, I think the increased damage with ailments only apply to elemental ailments. If so then just take a bunch of Chaos damage. Top right of the tree has a lot of them. There's a node where you get reduced chaos res but get a shit ton of chaos damage. If you can make CI work on it then even better.

frag grenades are fine but with how fast mobs move and how bosses move around i think of them as more supplemental early on than something to be relied on, explosive shot can force them to explode so they become much easier to use later on.
Actually if i have a good xbow ill just use basic show early on and throw the flash and frag grenades. flash does really good damage in the early campaign and goes off immediately.

Yeah the merc is the hybrid weapon swap class, weapon swapping with talents is very strong but im not sure their is anything other than maybe bows that is good for swapping off crossbow for. You dont need a different type of weapon in your alternate weapon set though, you can dedicate different talents for different crossbow skills and force certain skills to use different weapon sets, so for example you could make it so one Xbow is the Xbow you use for grenades, and you have one xbow that is for lightning damage, so when you use grenades 24 (or 48 with witch hunter) of your talents would be in grenades helping those and when you do a lightning attack those talents would instead benefit the lightning, its a way to get 2 talents for the price of 1 if you are willing to switch weapons. Its an intermediate thing you dont need to worry about right now, its one reason merc is the hybrid class and has so many different weapon type nodes near it.

Switches are annoying since they seem like you should be able to cancel out of them at any time but you can't. They're ultimately manageable if you're careful though and you get more familiar with them as you play.

What really fucking drives me insane is the soul core trial where you gotta drag these things around as they drain your HP. Even if you clear your drop outs enemies can spawn between it and you on the return trip I'm fairly certain.

also last epoch was almost entirely "offline" up until they added multiplayer(which ironically made it impossible to play, made the game worse and made the new multiplayer feature unusable for like 2 years)

Chaining can apply to any projectiles but only works if the projectile is already able to chain. Ricochets are considered chains. This is why if you put ricochet on a fireball and throw it at the wall it will never actually bounce off the wall because it's not a chaining skill.

The ascendancy design direction has changed from PoE1. Their official statement is "no necromancer because no best minion ascendancy" but I'm pretty sure their attitude to everything was to make ascendancies less build defining all around.

I have mixed feelings on this though since we only have 12 ascendancies but the weaker ones feel like they fill no niche at all in practice since everyone is fairly normalized. You're basically picking an offensive layer, a defensive layer, and your starting position when you pick an ascendancy and some layers and positions are just way better than others. Guardian was outclassed by necromancer in almost all cases for its entire lifespan but I still really liked playing guardian minion master because it had unique interactions.

I have the same problem except its all my fingers. Lot of little things you can do to help, there is an ointment you can buy that's for arthritis. It's just a cream you spread on your joints it helps. You can get a generic tube of the stuff in any pharmacy for like 10 bucks. Can't remember the name but it's right where all the Ben Gay and other stuff like that is you should be able to find it.
Also look into mechanical keyboards, get one that has adjustable actuation points. They are better built so the keys are easier to press and you can set the key to register from a very light touch. You can set specific keys like WASD to go off by barely pressing down. Takes a while to get the muscle memory adjusted but once you do it's much easier on your hands.
I'm not an expert on them I only just started getting into it but you can check on /g/ they have a general for them.
Other than that I would consider other ways of controlling the game, take breaks from WASD and go back to keyboard and mouse. Also get a controller and use that sometimes.

yes but they realised how widely unpopular it would be, or at least less popular than an f2p title with pay for convenience and mtx instead. and realised there would likely be a hell of a lot more government oversight / taxation if they went about it in an upfront way and made it a core part of the game. so they switched to current poe and simply shifted the rmt element to a sub-division within the company of trusted individuals who would run it alongside their other "normal" duties

and to generate the demand via players who can't get anything good to drop no matter what they do because they'll be addicted enough to keep playing but will want the good shit so badly that they'll resort to paying for it
we already know they arbitrarily alter loot seeds on the go too because you tend to get insane drops after you spend a few hundred on mtx for a short period of time. then they fall flat again
>t. spent 200 on supporter packs a while ago and dropped a duped mirror from random strongbox then a hinakora's lock on the next map
>spent a couple hundred again and got a few mirror cards via ultimatum
but I also feel like the amount you have to pay for this to happen goes up over time, to subconsciously incentivise you to pay more and more and more while associating doing so with your drop rates even if only subconsciously or unconsciously

can also try damage converting and playing around the different heralds, like herald of lightning + ash to get the double hits but that requires ailment investment
can also play lightning rod around it but its extremely janky, only works with slow or stationary targets
