HOWEVER
I like WoD's questing a lot, actually, that expansion did a lot of things wrong but the questing campaign is good, it falls off toward Nagrand a bit but see my first point.
Legion has a lot of kino experiences for a returning player too. I'd suggest that for a lot of class fantasy and order hall stuff.
BfA unironically is pretty good questing too, very down to earth relatively low fantasy stuff in Kul Tiras for Alliance, and some neat questing for Horde too
Shadowlands I didn't like the questing of, but maybe you'll enjoy it with fresh eyes.
Going back before modern expansions, Cataclysm has a ton of choice, there's so many zones you can visit and you can probably do like 3-4 unique playthroughs on different characters because of the sheer amount of questing zones.
MoP is comfy, Wrath has vibes but the gimmick quests get old, TBC is the oldest content still in the game but has the dopamine rush of turning in 20 quests at once which nowhere else really has anymore.
