Well to be honest, the Sethrak (the snakes) probably would've fit the Horde while the Vulpera would fit the Alliance. Not that this would make them happy though, because nobody wants the Vulpera.

They didn't. Most class and spec trees are like this where they have a bunch of trap talents that are completely useless and would never be used. Pretty sure blizz just puts them there to fill out the trees and give illusions of choice.

You can tell cause they never buff these shit talents so clearly they never intend for them to be used. And sometimes when the unintended talent ends up actually being picked and used, blizzard will immediately try to course correct the players for making such an error. This can be seen with warrior and how they deleted the annihilation build going into TWW cause warriors used it for 1 single season when it was never meant to be used, and right now with fury warriors using reckless abandon which blizzard doesn't want them to use.

The whole model is updated with less clutter of floaty bandages or clothes, and less of the 'etheral' effect to just see the stance better, its still the same stance.
It might be slightly updated to drop the arms a bit more, hard to tell when damn near all of them hold their weapons out, but they still have the same slight curve to the left spine, bend legs and arms held outwards like they have a hard time with gravity.

I don't understand why blizz does this shit. They make the first ever support spec and it breaks the game so much they have to continuously nerf it into oblivion to the point it's now completely useless and actually a trap spec. Then they just leave it like this.
Why don't you fucking fix it? You know it's a failure just man and admit it's a failure and fucking fix it. Turn off the support buffs and crank up the damage to make it a normal dps spec, or just make them tanky and turn them into a tank.
Like just fucking do something other than making it literally useless then letting it sit there so some poor saps with no brain cells pick it and become a detriment to not only themselves but everyone around them and every group they join. This is straight up evil behavior.

look up harldan on youtube, and briefly skim through the zones and shit he does for such and such level ranges. quest through them while chain queueing dungeons, and make sure to start out in exile's reach because despite all the bullshit about it, it's extremely fast expm and spits you out at dungeon queueing range while making sure you have some acceptable gear in each slot and a few bags. while you level up make sure you do the wod intro with chromie time and then the legion one because they're decent bursts of exp that end up giving your character access to something permanently useful. as a horde character you pretty much always want to chromie time level through silverpine forest and hillsbrad foothills while in war mode and spamming dungeons idk for alliance because i don't play them but i'm pretty sure the first half of lakeshire is fast as fuck before the rambo shit and going through elwynn forest should naturally take you there.

Each zone as their own little storyline but you don't have to pay attention nobody really does, you just mindlessly accept quests and kill things or pick things up.
Leveling in retail is stupid easy and fast you can do it in a few hours or a day or whatever casually.

Island was just reusing the dracthyr starting zone as you said and mostly boring killing rare spawns and looting chests as usual with these islands. The positives were that it at least had good catch up gear and very easy to unlock your full normal and heroic tier set as transmog. Also you could manually fly to it on the map.

They also farm excessive raw gold by abusing chromie time scaling, dozens of boomkin bots can be found in Stormheim and I remember locations in Gilneas and Gorgrond, although there's almost certainly others.
They do this because the raw gold figures at 1 level before Chromie Time is insane for the hyperspawn mobs they kill
Before this they'd run instances like Botanica over and over, it's terrible gph for a normal player but if you can go all day a 5k raw gph adds up quick when you have dozens of accounts doing it, pumping millions of gold into the economy every day
It's more noticable in Classic because you're out in the world doing stuff more often, and in Retail they're segmented into little corners of the huge world and in chromie time phases which max levels can't see and so on

Took me until just now to realizing flying to the four zones with the swirl you see before or after you left it is actually a load zone. But yeah, crazy to think every single Shadowlands traversing has a form of loading or something that blocks the screen as you first enter it. I think the only exception was the Maw and Korthia crossing.

Yep. It was even on the SL ptr until the final days of it. The pre patch of SL completely removed the mount meta for SL completely from the game and has since never resurfaced. I expect them to probably add it eventually to the tender shop or some retarded promotion since they already covered the SL achievement meta with the soul dragon.

Well for example I really like outlaw but you're not allowed to play trickster because the devs decided to force KS into it and the fatebound capstone last 10 seconds so you will lose it all the time and getting it again takes time plus the extra layers of rng, assassination rogues hate the deathstalker loop and again they can't play the other spec because it's a massive dps loss and the same rng issues. Subt is mostly fine with trickster.

BFA had a budget. Like the biggest budget the game ever had. This is why we got 6 HD Pre-rendered expansion launch quality cinematics, on top of multiple tie in media.
Said budget was spread out to make a bunch of assets for the experimental gamemodes they thought would last all of BFA and future expansions, Warfronts, Island Expeditions, etc etc.
Budget got cut late BFA around 8.2, which is why 8.3 ended up reusing Uldum and Blossom, resources shifted to working on Shadowlands instead with the rewrites that were happening now that Afrasabi got fired.
Now BFA has a lot of left over assets from stuff they were making for the experimental game modes, that had support dropped by 8.2. Which are being repurposed for the trilogy since those assets are already HD and to the standard blizz wants to use for the trilogy.

That's the crux of the BFA discussion around TWW and WSS

Yeah but that's a different issue. Earthen are proto dwarves, while ogres are proto orcs and vrykul are proto humans. Proto dwarves making it into the game before the ancestors of the two founding races of the franchise is a bit nuts.
And then there's the entire kyrian clusterfuck that when juxtaposed with valkyr-vrykul makes no sense, unless originally humanity was supposed to serve the Death function for Azeroths titanforged races. But then I'm giving credit to Danusler lore so, I need to stop.

not at all when you look at it from blizzards perspective of cutting corners
they already had a functional rig that they could copypaste from dwarves
for ogres or vrykul they'd have to make entirely new rigs (as the NPC ones are pretty bad) and lots of new animations, re-rig every 3D armor in the game - chestplates, hip armor, shoulders, helmets etc to fit
it's pretty much why we're never gonna see a new race that isn't a variation of an existing one

Ogres,Vrykul and Naga are from a time where blizzard did not want wow to look like warcraft so they didn't add them as playable. Just look at most of the transmogs and most tier sets, it was a bunch of completely random shit, barely anything matched the races. It only started looking like warcraft once they started making heritage sets. There are many other small warcraft things that got added in the last few years such as totem weapon and back pieces for tauren, this shit took way too long

I can give you an example from Classic Era realms - Firemaw Alliance:
