I dropped 2 of these in t4 maps before I even found my first 4 socket
I sold one of them for 50 exalts at the time and bought a couple 4 sockets. Haven't seen any since. I'm blasting t15s now

i played 2 characters, one to 90 the other is 84. i found 2 perfects, like 4-5 greater.

there is nothing in them except for a few blue packs and the 5 rares you need to kill. they feel like a waste of time.
if we had more mechanics and density they would be fine.
the maps aren't even that big, they feel big because you spend so much time running from one side to the other while interacting with nothing.

no, the big maps are terrible for multiple reasons

From 0% to negative resist they both scale linearly, but if the mob has resist then ignoring 6% of their resistance would be 6% pure dmg as opposed to 10% getting diminished by the resist no?

I think they made a mistake throwing in a very unfinished endgame rather than releasing EA with maybe all the acts and focusing on polishing the acts first and then go ahead with the maps. It would've hooked casuals even harder to the game I think. And then people would come back for endgame stuff anyway. Now there's a risk that people will quit after a while and remember the endgame as garbage and never come back.

Went back to playing Necro Settlers. Since trade is dead, its more or less forced SSF. Having a blast. 6 portal softcore zoom gaming, maps are 4x times smaller, with less backtracking. Boss in every map. Can invest into any mechanic I want and guarantee it. Flame dash and quick silver flasks<333 How I missed u.

If they keep the core gameplay of Poe2 similar to what it is now, then I have no interest in returning.

Jesus fucking christ, spells are absolutely atrocious for leveling if you're neither using leveling gear farmed with other characters nor using broken interactions like Ice Wall or Fireball shotguns.

Tried to level up once with lightning spells and I got softlocked to the last Act 2 boss, then tried again with a brand new character and better planning of my passive tree but I got soflocked to the bitch snake boss before Doryani. Meanwhile with warrior I was just autoswinging my mace like an orc and destroying bosses with the same amount of life and resistandes I had with my spell build.

All that this shit is telling me is that PoE 2 is as awful as PoE 1 where any build that doesn't use the most gamebreaking skill interactions is just dogshit so you might as well not even try it, because FUCK YOU if you want to have fun instead of using meta strategies to level up.

I uninstalled this shit game already. Hopefully GGG can fix this mess in like a year, but I'm not holding my breath.

Perma death on the trials is not an enjoyable experience; it exists only to artificially inflate the difficulty of the video game in order to make it.....Le Hard(TM)! This is bad game design.
Bullet hells along with immense visual noise are a cheap way of adding difficulty to the computer game, and are also bad game design.
Diablo 2 released 24 entire whole genuine non-ironic years ago and still (still) mogs this genre. If this game had Blizzard, Activision, EA or Ubisoft written on it it'd be getting far more hate (hate that it deserves). Cope and seethe.

I only played one season of poe before and it does feel like I broke through some kind of mental wall last night. I started doing my own shit builds, then started copying and seeing how it should feel. It finally feels like I can make my own build around curses and chaos damage on the tree. go to craftofexile and look at how many chaos it would take to roll an item with 3 specific t1 mods, its in the millions to billions to trillions depending on the item and mods

The biggest point is that it is not fucking different, all the underlying mechanics are the same (including leagues lol). GGG managed to make the game for noone somehow, poe1 vets hate that it is different from poe1, new blood hates that it is not different enough from poe1. Quin, despite peoples opinion, is actually pretty good at videogames
It's just that he's heavily autistic (in a neutral way) and playing within his own fluid ruleset that is 99% made up so his opinions come off as deranged.
Also his build isn't that unique. I think most people looked at HotG + ailments and went "yep this is going to be good". it's as popular and documented as SRS if not more. The way the game is set up you naturally path towards getting and using it and perfect strike.
the funniest part was when people were dooming about him playing bloodmage not realizing that melee just gets leech for free so the downside of the life cost is minimal to non-existant for him.

It's a really, really good clearing spell. It just falls apart completely on single target even if you gem for single target.

Ignite only really works if you have a massive hit like HotG and scale solely off of it
But if you are more about shotgunning or just flat fire damage I think getting a good ailment instead of a dead one is good.
You can even still run Immolate because flame wall & solar orb have passive ignite aoes

Yes. It's on a hit-by-hit basis
If you arc something, it's 1 hit, so 1 shock is applied
If you arc again, it applies the second shock

But ball lightning can hit the same target multiple times
It hits lets say 5 times / second, so after a second (with 100% chance to shock) it applied 5 shocks

I did one playthrough of Poo2
the last area on the Ziggurat killing all the Aztecs was cool
i don't feel any urge to keep playing the game though, it gets repetitive killing mobs of enemies over and over again for 40 or 50 hours
I'm not sure I like these types of games anymore, I just like trying to come up with cool build ideas. I wish there was a demo mode with a training dummies where you could change your level to any level and get any item with any stats and test shit out. also be able to change the stats and resistances of the target dummies. why don't they add something like that? that's all I really want to do. Diablo 4 had a "training grounds" dungeon with target dummies, but you can't change your level and stats or anything to test stuff out.

Both can be true, retardbro. The game is easy, and when you die it's not because content was "hard" but because it was either some stupid bullshit like cast on death from mobs or you getting gear checked, which has nothing to do with skill or difficulty.

Alright this changes things
>Upgrade your weapon
look for +2-4 spell levels and ~100%+ increased spell or fire damage and, if possible, some cast speed as a luxury.
Use the vendor, gamble, use transmutes+aug+regal on any staff you find
>Get % increased fire damage on tree
Get roughly about 100-150% increased damage from the passive tree
>Get bossing support setup
Solar Orb + Fire Exposure + Strip Away
Flammability Curse + Heightened Curse + Reduced Curse Delay
This will net you about 60% reduced resistances on the target which translates to roughly x2 damage for free.
>Damage Gems on Fireball
Fireball + Controlled Destruction + Unleash + Elemental Focus
You can also try Ember Fusillade if you don't want to swap your gems around in Fireball for comfort but I'm not sure how good it is

I am certain this will be fine until you reach white maps
