I would apply the same rule to poe1
Res is good but you get diminishing returns
70 vs 75% res is nowhere near as important as a +life roll, especially since almost all enemies do a mix of physical + something else damage

With 150-200% IIR it definitely was. Maps barely give loot outside of rares + bosses + league content. Killing the beetle was straight up killing a rare every 10-15 seconds. You had to actually focus and sit there and do it quickly but I was making more exaults/hour from that then red tier maps.

this change to resistances is the worst thing GGG has ever done to path. i wont sit and explain all of the reason why, because the people who think it's a good idea are too stupid to really understand the discussion.

for almost a decade the entire end game revolved around farming fat loot, and then balancing it around those stats. it was healthy for the economy, it was fun for the slamming memes in global, and it gave an ever looming fear validation when you realized you might not be packing enough for a close fight.

i have thousands of hours in PoE between stand alone and steam, and this is hands down the most stupid and disrespectful thing (imo) you've done for the people who actually gave a shit about developing and maintaining a grind on a character they love to play.

i don't know who made the choice to remove one of the defining mechanics of this game, but they'll be working at another studio in 15 years while people are talking about GGG the same way they talk about blizzard right now if you don't figure this shit out.

adjust fight mechanics. adjust skill/loot stats. do not adjust your core architecture. this is just plain stupid. i cannot believe the same people who made a game this incredible are the same people who will start flaying it. tencent rises.

90% of the currency i made over 200 hours of playing since launch was spent balancing my gear around end-game resistances so i could compete to be one of the best and be a trail blazer. that is what PoE players do. we don't bitch and piss and moan because "wah resist reqs bad". that's why d4 exists. there is a market for casual ARPG games and it is capped by a multi-billion dollar company run by MORONS who have completely missed the plot, and you just kicked fucking dirt in my eyes. i am not the only one.

it's just a weapon buff that shoots lightning projectiles. it will improve your damage and give you shock application. Pairs better with tempest flurry because of the shorter animation but any attack skill will combo with it fine.

Genuinely baffled by this game maintaining this many players. The early game is hands down the worst I've ever played in an ARPG which I assumed would filter all the casuals. You'll still probably be one shot (lots of people better than you and me have been complaining about one shots) but it should happen far less often.

Weapon swapping is quite good. You can set skills to only use one swap or the other (see pic related), so you can use a weapon swap for a lot of shit without needing to press the swap key. You can

What do I even do after t15s? I can clear t15 maps and bosses, even with 70% more life mods, with little effort.
90%+ of my time is spent walking through maps killing white mobs, be it to get to another botw tower to socket a tablet, or just walking through a fancy t15 while the white npcs that drop nothing get in the way of the 5 mobs in the map who actually exist.
I'm not strong enough for gigajuice breach/etc.

the other weird thing about delirium is I never got tablets for it, just irradiate tablets.
as I'm not in 15s yet my working assumption is that the mechanics can't really be progressed until then: the giveaway is that the boss tree can't be progressed except by killing bosses in tier 14s and up.

Yes, it's fine. I'm not saying it's ideal, but the economy is always fucked up in poe. You can still play the game. You can still buy nearly and unique and many solid rares for <10ex. There are many builds that can farm t15s on a budget of a few dozen ex, it's not hard. Plus if you can farm, inflation will make shit you find worth $$$. You might not be able to replicate the build of your favourite streamtranny, but if that's your goal then better luck next league.

The totem warrior is off to a okay start. I just beat geonor. It plays like a normal warrior for now until I get more passives into totems.
The totems make handling groups easier though and they can build up stun on bosses.

Remember to get + melee skills on your weapons. Totems don't really use your weapon stats.
My problem with totems is that they attack so slow. Good for bosses since they can be used as decoys, not so much for fast moving enemies.

it's far easier with the ingame "dictionary"
just pick a skill or two that have synergy and read their descriptions carefully. CTRL+F around the tree and look around the nodes and how close they are to your starting point and what not
I think the real problem for newbs is getting a feel for which skills are worth scaling, how to scale them efficiently and how to balance between defense and offense

Barrier Invocation gain's energy when you get damaged. Infernalist has a node that Ignites you when you deal critical hit, 15% ES and HP. I guess this guy used that instead of Cast on Crit but built it the same way. No idea how they're getting all that back though.

I did expect them to be a lot more flat so I was suprised, it feels more like a slight V. Amazing soundstage. Bass and treble are crystal clear

I know "% increased physical damage" on a weapon multiplies with your "% increased damage" multiplier from other sources, but is the same thing true of "% increased elemental damage with attacks" on a weapon? i.e. does a weapon with 100% increased elemental damage with attacks cause attacks to deal twice as much elemental damage, or just add 100% to your increase multiplier?

one of the reasons crit was mandatory in poe1 is because after you got a certain amount of increased, including from gear, getting it from the tree was pointless so everyone had to respec into either crit or ailments to keep multiplying their damage.
in poe2 crit is just bad until you already have a lot of it on gear but it multiplies ailments (poison, ignite) etc so it still has a giga-endgame purpose.
iirc in poe2 you need like 400% increased before crit becomes better or something.

Unpopular Opinion: Str, Dex, and Int should only come from the tree. They shouldn't be on gear at all.
An even better system would be to remove all travel nodes on the tree, and every level you get a passive point for the tree and an attribute point to spend on +5 for any of those 3.
