VF1 introduces the OG 8 - Akira, Jacky, Pai, Sarah, Lau, Jeffry, Kagemaru, and Wolf.
VF2 introduces Shun and Lion.
VF3, to compensate for introducing Chinese styles in VF2, debuts Aoi and Taka-Arashi.
VF4 introduces Vanessa and Lei Fei, followed later by Brad and Goh. In exchange, Taka-Arashi sits the game out.
VF5 debuts Eileen and El Blaze, and later introduces Jean. Also, Taka's back.
VF6 will debut Stella, presumably as Sarah's replacement - the first ever character to take another character's place.
