Every page of the early days just baffled me how these people managed to push out three genredefining IPs at all. I am convinced more than ever that Adham and Morhaime have enacted some unholy pact with Satan to keep this thing from blowing up in their face.

This is the key point. The attitudes of the playerbase changed, the attitudes of the developers changed. The jaded people that the boomers of yesterday have become would never have picked up WoW in the first place, and the less said of the Diablo playerbase and how much their mentality shifted in 2004 toward PURE ENDGAME ALL THE TIME, the better. People didn't even give a shit about how unbalanced Starcraft was when it came out. Gamers had fun playing games because they had fun in their brains, but now all there is is just hunger, a constant hunger that can never be sated.

Like it's not that devs don't know they need to make better visual clarity, it's that they are too incompetent to make better visual clarity. They're literally so stupid they don't comprehend that making a green poison circle you have to stand in that is the exact same green poison color as all the bad poison aoe you have to avoid that can overlap and be inside the bad green poison color aoe so you can't even see it, they think all of that is okay.

I mean fuck, raiding is just dead. Until Ion literally gets fired or quits or gets moved out of his position, raiding is straight up never going to be fixed.

Shadowlands felt like a Guild Wars expansion or something with wow play mechanics. It was fucking terrible. The Maw/Korthia and Maldraxxus are the two/three worst zones in the entire game and from the same expansion.

Yeah, I've mostly done BG blitz as Enh. For some reason I am like 2600 MMR in that but it's painful - I tend to prefer Stormbringer builds over lava lash/totemic. I hate the 'place surging totem down' type shit. Sham has so many keybinds because of the totems/utility.

This mutant is obsessed with making mechanics "complex and new and challenging" instead of straightforward and *SATISFYING* to overcome.
He thinks the "fun of raiding" comes from how zany and wacky the boss abilities are, not how satisfying and fun it is to overcome it.
I have yet to fight a raid boss or a M+ boss that didn't make me say "That was cool, that was fun". It has ALWAYS been a "Oh thank god" response from me. Every single boss.

Great example of a very simple, very easy to solve visual problem:
>The weekly affix where a bunch of balls float towards mobs in M+ you have to pick up.
These orbs have a big visual effect and also make another effect when touched. This can be fucking blinding when you're a melee spec, in a big ass pack of mobs, and also there's shit on the ground to avoid. Where do you move efficiently? Hope you have the reaction time to map that out while doing your rotation, buck!

Siege of Boralus. The ground is dirty-brown and the cone shockwave from the big guys is dusty-dirty brown too. Or the swirlies from the 2nd boss not being well defined and also all over the goddamn place.
It's fucking awful. Fire this retard already.

The only memorable fun thing I have from SL is camping the maldraxxus intro with the 30 stack buff from the quest giving you infinite heals + giga damage and dunking on alliance trannies getting the 500 coin mount from MoP that way. They had no idea what the fuck was going on. Legit spend another 2 days camping there.

That's the whole game now and I hate it. They make everything such a miserable experience and a tedious pain in the ass to do that you rarely is ever feel any joy from doing anything, you just feel relief it's over and you get to take a break from it.

No, there was a lot wrong with Legion. Especially narratively. All the cosmology complaints people have about the most recent expansions, stem from Legion's narrative choices.
That's not even going into the handling of several class halls and killing off characters with no thought or reasoning other a new toy like Tirion was killed for, or a character could be put into position that'd be easier to villain bat them like Vol'jin was killed for Sylvanas.
Or all the events of WC2 and 3 involving the Broken Shore conveniently happening next to a giant bubbled arcane Nightborne city that no one comments on.
Or the complete mess that was Argus narratively, fucking over Blizzard's ability to even use the Burning Legion in any future story and left them in limbo.
Or the Prophecy of Doomhammer being pushed to the side completely just so Shamans could have their weapon, as Thrall sulks off screen.
Or how Priests got utterly fucked over so Paladins could have an epic moment in their order hall campaign

Couln’t get back into the game and missed out on Legion and BfA. Shadowlands seemed awful and skipped it and DRAGflight managed to be worse. I just rejoined for TWW and I’m not having fun anymore unfortunately.

When does it end? When does anything change? This song and dance keeps happening and nothing actually happens. Ion being removed from his position is the only way that I can think of. He is the core problem of all of this.

Destro when you're just slamming out mass Chaos Bolts is one of the most orgasmic feelings in this game bar none. The cast is just beefy enough to make it have weight, the slow projectile and huge crash with a big fuckin' number.
I have an addon (ClassicNumbers) that plays the Pokemon Super Effective noise when I do 2.5M or higher in one hit and I fucking love it.

Once I could deliver this information to Stromgarde, they would devise a way end the upheavals of the highlands.

I was even given a charitable teleport by one of Karazhan's phantoms directly to Stromgarde Keep. With triumph in my grasp, fantasies of glory and accolades filled my mind. Danath Trollbane himself would give me a medal for my service, my honor would be known in the history of Arathi, and above all else my people would have a safe home...

And then, HE spoke to me.

It has given me plenty of time to catch up on some of my single player games backlog and i'm having a blast.
On the flip side it just continues to open your eyes to how bad WoW is. I know it's an MMO but this is still a multi million dollar corporation with hundreds of employees and the best they can do is place NPCs in copy pasted locations with just a couple of generic fetch quests to them with writing that is unironically worse than something like dragon age veilguard.
Some people play this shit and then make a post somewhere saying something insane like "this was so beautiful what an amazing scene/moment" like holy shit play more games if you think this is good.

So far TWW patches have given us

The more that comes out of Oreweyna, the more I dislike her existence in general.
From Talanji being used as a temporary model for her during the Blizzcon footage, which made people think Talanji was gonna show up. To now her clearly existing just so another Elf character can have a super important role in the narrative, while a pre-established character gets fucked over. If they wanted to bring Talanji's VA back, just bring her back for Talanji and not this clear Night Elf writers OC.
