Yeah, I noticed my damage went up by a lot after leveling my gems. I was saving them at first since it felt like they were hardly dropping but man, once I learned to use them a lot my damage went up and I barely struggled through the campaign.

I've enjoyed PoE 2 for the most part but I think I'm at my end point with it (currently at least).
I am just not a fan of the 4 league mechanics, Deli is okay but regardless of rewards I rarely bothered with Expedition and never with Ritual, and haven't touched Breach in I don't know how long.
I always enjoyed Einhar/Harvest/Essence/Blight and sometimes doing ghosts/rogue.
It was fun but at lvl 84 I just don't see myself finishing it out to 100.
Doing towers to juice nodes was really rewarding once I understood it (Thanks to the anon who explained it to me), just feels like more hassle to run maps I want to run after a handful of times making sure I get everything lined up.
Do hope that Templar brings holy relic/absolution/herald of purity playstyles with it.

Co-op player scaling is cooked in this EA. 4 player is way too easy with shit melting fast cause it doesn't scale high enough while 2 player is excruciatingly slow because it feels like 4 player scaling and everything takes 4x as long to kill.
Do they just check whether you're in a party or not and give an inflexible scaling? Would make sense.

idk about path of rollslop but in poe1 there was ritual vessels that allowed you to "store" the monsters you beat in a ritual and then apply it to rituals in other maps to accumulate more mobs/points

Merc offers nothing over Ranger for poison aside from cheesy gemling set ups. You have poor access to the nodes and all the relevant skills for poison build are better on Ranger. Witch Hunter interacts very awkwardly with poison since half of your nodes don't work with it.

I think I'm done with PoE2 for now too
My build trivializes all content and the minimal content there is is just a slogfest.
No idea why they added the invidiual league mechanic trees that can only be buffed after doing the league mechanic's pinnacle several times, that's just putting the cart before the horse. It's 10x more efficient to just farm regular maps and buy someone else's breachstones/simulacrums/king in the mists then it is to spend hours farming individual splinters.
Bosses are fun but they're too few and far between and it's antifun to have one-shot mechanics in boss fights you only get one try at - makes it so the most optimal way to play is to watch someone else beat a boss before trying it yourself.
Build variety is non existant, uniques are trash, the tree is hot doodoo (unless you're playing a GGG approved build where they stick everything in one corner of the tree for you). I don't ever want to touch the campaign again because you're so weak at low levels it's not hard just slow and boring.
I'll probably play PoE2 again when it releases but only on release since I doubt they'll fix anything. It's just trying to be different from PoE1 for the sake of being different.

Blood Mage really is NOT powerful.

The only REALLY good node is Grasping Wounds, and you have to take Sanguimancy for that.

Is delaying the damage good? Sure it is.
Is delaying the damage good enough to pay 100% of mana cost in life for? I fucking doubt that.

Especially in POE 2 where life regen and gain are exremely limited, leech is nerfed, and the spell costs are going through the fucking roof.

Sanguimancy needs a real stout buff, either
>Just make it Blood Magic, no more mana 100% life cost
>25% blanket discount on all life and mana spell costs
>Make her leech life AND mana
>or IDK just give her 40% more damage to make it worth the life cost

Life is MUCH MUCH MUCH more expensive than mana, getting the mana sustain is easy, getting the life sustain is ...feasible, sustaining both of them to cast the same spell without even getting more power - is just a shit deal, I could simply unspec the ascendancy an respec all the regen and recoup nodes into damage, i'd be stronger for it.

Blood Mage is literally worse than the baseline witch.

New farm spot: The Matlan Waterways, Narag. Even ingoring divines it's 20+ exalts in under an hour and it's a higher level than Lost City + no annoying scarabs. Also i advice you to alt+f4 the game every 30 minute and then reopen it again in 15 minutes so instance is updated. I noticed that there's a rate limit on drops the longer you farm and it sometimes resets it.

Yes, but unless the passive nodes in your tree specifically states Minion's fire damage then always assume it's YOUR fire damage. If it's YOUR fire damage then it doesn't buff minions.

On paper you could go for the leech, damage delay and crit bonus.

Are these quests bugged in act 2 cruel? I already put the 2 seals in the location and picked a buff. Ive also killed Balbala twice but didnt get a quest item, just a normal one for sekhemas but i can only go to the act 2 one and doesnt seem to give me any more ascension points. I've tried the entire game to use Gathering Storm and Wave of Frost for a mobility-based playstyle and it's just fucking dogshit compared to holding left click, and even that's not at its peak because I refuse to use the power charge skills

I have been increasingly tempted to go back to SSF. I rarely use trade, just to sell a few 'should be quick/easy to sell' things (averaging 1 item per 10hrs of game time) and to buy very very old items (e.g. level 4 weapon when I was level 38) and now level 60 trying to upgrade my level 14 and 22 rings. Tedium.

im having a lot of fun with vaulting impact. im running it with fist of war, ambush, and momentum. you can slam into a pack and delete 3/4 the white mobs and trigger some heralds. they also literally just announced they are buffing some of the other staff skills so you might get what you want soon
but yes storm wave and ice strike are generally the gg skills
they made a lot of the other skills too restrictive to be good and feel good to use

im currently playing attribute stacking gemling with pillar and it is a lot of fun, but even that is catching on with some streamers unfortunately.

I tried to make Vaulting Impact work, but unless you're a phys build its only real use is for jumping over mobs to avoid being surrounded - but the roll but made that irrelevant, and Gathering Storm is just better for clearing/getting out of mob packs. I really wanted Vaulting Impact to work with the Consecrated Ground gem, but it literally places the ground behind you, so you don't even get the healing when you're in the middle of mobs

The game isn't really balanced around trading in early acts. Since you can get bigger rolls much later on, rolls that are usable at your level are more common and also worthless for the people rolling them. Once you get to endgame maps trading is still very powerful, but your uprades come with an actually sensible price tag and aren't making you steamroll everything in one shot. You're trading with people twice your level and taking their trash right now.

I can but it plays like hell, have to have every setting as low as possible and 30 fps. Load times were horrific for the first few days but it's slightly better now. When combat gets hectic the screen pixilates like I'm playing a nintendo game, it's kind of funny in a sad way.
Hoping to finally be able to build a new computer in the summer. Just have to hold out until then.

Trading is fine if you know what you're trading for if your build needs a specific unique it's worth getting it. If you search up modifiers that items can roll on the database you can find some ok ones at reasonable prices but those will start around lvl 45 and go up to 60 and higher. If you don't know how to look for reasonable modifiers for reasonable prices it'll take a while to get used to trading in this

Wave of Frost isn't that far off being viable. It combos into Glacial Cascade naturally. Glacial Cascade is just bad because Proximal Tangibility exists, and Glacial Cascade's big hit literally can't hit rares with that mod. Fix that problem and Wave of Frost is usable.

The main benefit of Wave was that it let me play footsies with mobs, but the problem is everything past a certain point just has a hitbox that'll clip you regardless of how you jump back

There really are too many travel nodes. There's no point bathing to over parts of the tree even if they have insane clusters, because I can always squeeze out a bit more value from my part of the tree and not have to spend 14 nodes pathing.

Like sure, I'd like to make my way over to the insane 2H damage cluster and the leech nodes, or the huge druid damage cluster. But why? There are some attack speed nodes right next to home that I haven't grabbed yet. Too much travel cost, and then not enough incentive once you get there, no matter how cool some of the clusters are.

I was really hoping that with the removal of life nodes I'd finally be able to get everything I wanted, but they just replaced the life with travel nodes.

Unfortunately I don't know the build proper. It's one of those Korean cabal builds you only find out about through drip feed in clips you can't trace.
You open with a plasma blast that I think applies a massive shock and lightning exposure then you unleash stormburst rounds. It's one of those builds that does enough damage to one phase super bosses but I don't know how it's actually built or how much investment it requires to start.

I've been chugging along in t15 maps and it still hasn't been an issue, I think I'm just used to pressing my life flask to sustain demon form and I don't even notice that it's poison degenning me. 75% chaos res seems to make it not do too much

restoring honor is really easy, the really bs mechanic in Trials is the debuffs that obscure the map
losing the map to a death is not a problem, the real problem are the oneshot mechanics
they're fine in the campaign, but if you're doing a ritual there are literally too many effects and enemies on the screen for you to see lightning markers the 0.5s it takes for them to drop on you
this is why everyone doing maps 11+ is on a 10k shield autocast build, that shit really needs to get changed
I went 130 into Int just to slot blink to be able to get away from rares after I kill them cause I never know if they're going to blow up or what

It builds up so quickly that I don't think it matters since you're AoE spamming with nades or shotgunning with projectiles for the most part. The only time the percent wasn't at 0 was against aids fights like Chimera and the Ultimatum Boss IIRC. I don't know about endgame because I got bored and bailed.

Looks like you're dying to the fog phase. Equip a shield in your secondary swap and block. While the boss is reciting his poetry nonsense, get used to the cadence of how often he pops out for his charge attack and just block when he's about to come out. You don't have to manually weapon swap to start blocking, just use the block skill and you'll automatically do it.

Spam it the whole encounter.
When you are inside that frozen arena, there are exactly 3 Bone Cage casts in sequence between Geonor's leaps then you need to roll.
If you got interrupted, then 2 and then try to just feel the moment and roll.
This is it. I've been there and had the same painful eperience, but after some tries managed to do that.
Its unfair how shitty Occultist Witch experience is in comparison to the Monk, Sorc, Ranger, Merc...
Burst phase is when he casts ice glaciers. Just find the place and spam bone cages.
Unleash works great as Support Gem btw.

I don't think it's bugged at all, the 7 stage ultimatums tell you right on the token that they won't give a 3rd ascendency point. You need a lv 75+ 10 stage one.

I didn't watch anything when the game launched so I had no clue what any boss fight was like. The only one I struggled on was the Count. Act 2 and 3 I literally one shot as a warrior. I didn't trade for anything until I hit maps. You suck. Skill issue.

you didn't have to wait for drops to level up your skills, or just to use new ones that you leveled into. Gear dropped regularly too to make up for any power deficit. At no point were you ever not making progress. Here you can just get stuck
