you misunderstand when you go after these people. sega doesnt expect you to drop the game. they expect you to keep it as a side game forever. thats what they mean by "its okay if we put 6 months inbetween major updates".
it means that they always intend to shove in as much fomo and fashion update as possible in those 6 months while simultaneously drying out the games content.
they engineer their own negative press because they dont really let the players quit, stringing them along as a service game that gets maint mode updates, unless they get really pissed off or a real competitor appears.

Honestly nerf hitscan counter and shit like that, no class deserves to have a free iframe with insane damage for free, while hunter avenger is still trash.
I have no clue why there's such a big gap between the classes at the top.
Not just that, only one wepapon as well. That's not allowed, Stuff like hunter, ranger, figher barely function with one weapon meanwhile ass like slayer just gets to do everything for free with one weapon.

Yes, cause it's so much easier than actually tryharding with a real class. Sure you can do some cool tricks with it but like, man it's not the same when you don't have 7 weapons in your inventry and doing speicfic setups. I want to go back, when are they burning this game and making pso2 again.

I already said this, but I'll say it again:
NGS is a success in their books. They spend absolutely nothing to produce new content for it and they still get plenty of scratch profits from both Global and JP. They're looking to other IPs to try and create the success NGS achieved.
This really shouldn't be a surprise since SEGA is just trend chasing gacha and live-service games. SEGA does nothing but trend chase, NGS was only made to trend chase in multiple departments after all.
I won't expect anything good from SEGA until the entire gaming landscape as a whole solves this woke tranny liberal bullshit and live-service gacha whoring problems it has.

Yeah, I haven't really played much hunter ever since they made it more sword focused, because I thought it was pretty good in kvaris when it was more partizan focused.

then, the v2 super mega ultra special update released and it was just mars and creative space despite people expecting a space exploration and another planet update after being dragged along on halpha for ages and after the director himself said it was a big update. the idiot doesnt even play the game.

said global pso2 mod VACATED THEIR POST out of shame shortly after, like they never let go of their post until then, even after having to apologize to the rappy burst fansite for falsely accusing them of datamining alpha reactor locations, nothing made them quit other than the immense shame of being wrong about believing sega even when they were at the top of the shitchain. all of this was revealed through interviews with them by the content creators who gave a shit and implored sega to do better.

these content creators of the now who dont even bother contacting their official channels to validate or confirm info are gonna learn a lesson in disappointment when even OFFICIAL PSO2 MODERATORS have been duped, they really think they are better by spinning false defenses when they are the ones with burden of proof, funniest shit youve ever seen.

the real reason base pso2 is kept alive probably isnt because of licenses, but because they have to upkeep pso2es as it is a jp topup medium for arks cash, and that requires base pso2 for real management. and the need to rely on pso2 code base, the same way gameguard still exists as a backend for xigncode. they will never disconnect it. watch as pso3 releases we'd still have access to the two previous games because sega is a hack of a developer

You mean staying players. The game does attract new players, but they drop off after exploring Aelio, as shown by the shrinking playerbase and yet fewer later ngs steam achievements achieved. Why? The story hands out levels, gear, mars, and cocoon and tower locations like nothing, killing the fun of exploration and progression. Kvaris even fucked up and replaced most SG rewards in red boxes with icicle orbs.

And another reason people don’t stick around despite the character customization depth is that the creator is FUBAR. It explains nothing and the options are a disorganized mess.

Some egregious examples:

Face Types: Older face types are pointless, but who explains that? Only Lively face and Cutie face have a toggle for eyelash volume, and Animatica face has a double eyelid toggle. All this hidden in a separate T-shirt icon section as the face ornament toggle. No newcomer will notice these options and details.

Neck Area: Adjusting the Y axis changes your head size and it has no business being here as it doesnt affect neck size, and the defaults are absurdly high, any normal headsize would be the minimum. Worse, changing character height doesn’t sync with head size and there's no option to sync it, leaving people with a mismatched head to body ratio whenever they go for the easy edit option to adjust height.

Sega expects players to figure all this out and fix the game themselves. They expect people to praise the creative space system that doesnt let you edit blueprint items once placed from them. They expect people to download install and configure dxvk for the game to run smoothly because this toaster game prioritizes running on CPU instead of GPU in current year. This is an incredibly smart decision when you have a kernel level anticheat competing for the same resource to scan your entire system.

Is it any wonder people quit? It’s easier for new players to quit than keep squeezing fun from a rock with little payoff for them.

Though I main sl as of late I'd like for the devs to give some more qol to fi, knux to be specific. The damage is good but what's lacking is some range to its attacks since you're bound to miss attacks on enemies that move a lot unless you preposition yourself to catch the enemy on where it lands. Some better gap closers would also be of great aid.

What did you expect, the game has not had any real content for like three years now.
I'm not counting nameless random falz that don't appear in the story as real bosses either. And that was the only content.
So for three years now after stia ended you had Aegis, the Zeppeto asspull to reskin dolls into starless and then dalion and solus.
That's it, three years my dude. I swear they're going to EOS this crap in like six months or less.

There's zero shot they continue ngs for 10 years with how everything is going and how lazy every patch is getting. Also the fact they basically scammed us with this weapon series pissed off a lot of people. And still they're releasing either new weapons / units or affixes each month for basically no reason. I really don't see this continuing much longer unless the development of scratches ( realistically they're rerunning half of them) doesn't cost much.
What pisses me off the most is how many scratches are being shilled at once for how little the game offers in return.

It's different because it's basically impossible to play right now due to gearing being impossible due to zmbabwe economy and not enough players being there.
Also it's not nostalgia, have you done the Armada EQs with like basically 6 different normal stages and two different boss stages, where if your party was good you could squeeze in extra runs, same for even limited events like shiro/kuro, wopal, haloween.
You could get good affixes that are limtied easily and make a lot of money, in NGS you cannot even reuse anything you have. Old affixes are pretty much worthless.
You cannot tell me in good faith that the NGS EQs have anything on some of the grand and better base EQs, especially mobbing ones where speed mattered.
And let's not even get into the actual side content, where doing it would always net something.
Think of it this way, in base mobbing was a skill. It's not necessarily how hard you can parse, anyone can do that even in NGS, but being fast in a quest was a completely different beast and you had the items to do that and craft some really cool setups.
Content like divides or extremes, or endless had longevity. Hell even shit like CM and what not had insane longevity. NGS content is one and done for the most part now.
Overall I just feel like the comparisson is not valid because pso2 was an extremely unique game that knew it's strenghts and even if the content patches were long, they were still meaningful compared to NGS stuff where you are literally done after a day. Give me a new account I could do everything there is to do in NGS in like 12 hours.

these are all "social contracts" and goodwill that were forged between the players and sega as a mutual agreement and thanks for support the game.

it comes as no surprise that when much of these were turned on its head to microtransact everything that animosity has arisen. it aint how any f2p game should be treating its players.

I'm certainty not going to point fingers at even the most vile and problematic players either for being the cause of the problem, because they have had almost 0% say in ngs decisions. the moderators in charge of reading and selectively sending feedback to sega? they were definitely part of the problem.
