Chun and Cammy look worse to me. But that is mostly the stance, not the model. I personally like jive Guile more but I can see why other people disagree. Now the funniest thing about the pic is that it is using everyone's default jive costume except for Akuma, and you just know why.

SF6 art design is all wrong. They went with the realistic style rather than the anime style. SF4 and SFV had horrible execution but they tried and the result was at least something visually appealing and colorful.

Not only did he and Juri actually fight in the story mode, people were replaying that story mode fight, against Rashid I think, to see his moves before he was out. However, the game didn't launch with story mode and it wasn't a long wait before you could play them both officially.

You shouldn't rely on 2MK DRC all the time, the 50/50 if it's blocked is just not worth it. Only use it if it's a whiff punish or a hard read and you know for sure that it's going to hit your opponent. If you're low on drive and you want to whiff punish with 2MK or 4/6MP just go heavy legs. Also Chun's 5HP is very good right now for whiff punishing so use that more.

People complain about ken a disproportionate amount. Luke just took him to the corner and throw looped him for 1 bar. Ken can only do that with a point blank jab, otherwise it's 3 bars. Almost every character has insane corner carry and several side switches, and ken just is slightly above average in those areas. It's not just Ken that makes rounds look like this.

Went 0 and 20 in casual matches against a ryu the other day before the guy finally quit on me, don't know what his rank was but I'm bronze.
The fucking guy would power up every time I took a round off him. Don't understand the casual match making in this game you practically have to use it to get games if you play at certain times of day.
Starcraft 2 does it better with hidden unranked mmr and that game is like 15 years old at this point.

Depending on what button you block you may be able to interrupt the DR cancel with a jab, OD Shoryuken or a Drive Reversal.

The big difference between it and those tests are that it's not the common motion you're doing most of the time on a physical level. When you're blocking an overhead you're doing a lot of movement inputs anyway so you're physically ready for it. Same when you're pressing a button to check DR or whatever. DI is either a motion you're not usually doing (slapping both heavy buttons) or a button in a place you're less primed to hit, and may even need to move your hand in order to hit.
Hence: reacting to DI is a matter of being ready for it, at least until you've put a LOT of time into the game.

chun is kinda like ken except instead of having to think about spacing she just instantly walks across the screen to make everything a space trap or make any of her shit land and she can fireball drive rush and alter her jump arc and skip fireballs with very lenient reactions in several ways and do drive rush overheard and she gets combos from meterless overheads too and do random unpunishable sweeps and punish meaty throws and she will make you play the gay high/low three times in a row mini game on your wakeup all the time she can even do jump scare full screen overhead into level three for some reason

It's something to do with the animations and VFX, but it's hard to articulate what exactly it is

Of course this is one of the highest quality examples of gameplay you could find, which isn't really representative of the average player's experience
When people who pick up the game are mashing against each other and repeating buttons the jerky animations stick out even more, and that turns people off the game.

fighting games should be gameplay focused first and foremost, and in that sfv blows sf6 out of the water, even launch sfv is better than any current or past iteration of sf6

the sf6 casual draws are the dogshit mode where you make your abomination and fight refrigerators and roombas
the social hub made to sell you cosmetics for your abomination

now whether you prefer the cartoony artstyle of sfv or the faux-aaa generic realism of sf6 is a matter of personal preference, but the music is definitely a step down

I disagree, I'd say 6 and 5 Champion edition are fairly similar at this point, balanced overall with one or two real shithead standout characters (Ken/Rashid for 6, Seth for 5)
Definitive was an amazing game but I think 6 will exceed that quality bar by the time we get to season 3/4

5 and 6 are pretty similar in terms of both having strong offence mostly centred around plus frames and strike/throw/shimmy mixups
Confirms were easy in 5, I don't get why people jerked off over them so much

the way you earned plus frames in 5 was by winning neutral, walking forward avoiding the opponent's pokes into an advantageous range, or getting a whiff punish that resulted in a 2 hit combo for low damage and corner carry

the way you earn plus frames in 6 is by pressing one of the many forced offense jumpscare buttons that cost the bar that automatically regenerates

You are not especially bad at the game and there is nothing stopping you from improving.
