Somehow warrior feels better than my witch, I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
On warrior I can leap into a crowd of mobs, boneshatter them and wipe the screen.
My witch I just have to spam fire wall/solar orb and kite them.

Never played POE, interested in POE2. I've played D2/D3, Torchlight 2 and Grim Dawn. I enjoyed the early levels because it's a fun top down RPG that isn't as autistic as the end game seasonl stuff. Is POE2 nice and 'slow' or would it turn into the quick bazinga shit late game? I just want a nice top down action fun that doesn't involve going 10000% everything.

Going to respec my crossbow Witch Hunter into Titans Blood melee. Probably a bad idea but fuck it I don't want to reroll and I'm sure some combination of Sorcery ward+max block and explosions/culling/concentration is good enough. I have a feeling though that I won't be getting armour explosions constantly without crushing blows, but I guess I can go another way.

My first attempt I had him at 10% with only 90 honor going in. 2nd time I was less patient and died with like 500 honor start. You just don't do enough single target on any class in this game. The best I've done so far was dropping ice walls as sorcerer.

They are supposed to balance this shit. SRS witch is too good - nerf it. Charge up not good enough - buff it, blood made is shit - fix it, minions are worthless - give them utility. We are one week into the beta bro, who knows what they will do.

Right now the game doesn't have enough shit in it, but there are signs that it's coming
>Support gem for more damage against stun
>support gen for more damage against armor shred
>support gem for more damage against bleed
>support gem for more damage against stun
>support gem for more damage + high cooldown
When I'm looking at it I'm seeing a fun melee build that builds up stun with bonesetter, then once stunned switches to the hammer and fucking kills it with one massively fat hit.

Sounds like fun gameplay to me, I want that.

If I want to spend 20+ minutes killing a boss I'll play MHW/W.
When I want to feel like I'm getting progressively stronger from a nothing, to feeling every little passive, every new piece of equipment instantly felt in gameplay towards becoming a god, I play an arpg. POE2 is dogshit were you never feel any power progression. It's like a terrible level scaling rpg but worse because the gameplay is all this has.

This feels like the legit worse aprg I've ever played. TQ even is better. I'm done.

Just finished the colosus boss and this boss is just easy to cheese. I have no damage so it take me a minute to fight bosses I can't stun but you can sit almost inside the boss and just attack him and take 0 damage. I didn't test it but i think i can dodge the breath attack too. Can't cheese the balls when he move though.

Ok I feel like I should ask at this point because I was very close to uninstalling this shit. To my understanding Accuracy isn't really necessary if you're literally inside the asshole of the mob you're hitting. I am probably wrong here but the tooltip does say you incruse NO PENALTY to targets within 2 meters. That being said why did those 3 attacks miss? Its not even sunder I constantly miss Boneshatters and regular fucking melee hits. This is infuriating.

I've taken every single attack speed passive near Warrior and in Mercenary. I've also taken the 50% minor node Ascendancy in order to make them stronger and I still feel slow. This is with my core skill having the 25% Attack Speed Gem too. Plus Attack Speed Gloves with a capped roll. I'm probably the fastest Warrior in the game and I'm still slow as fucking balls.

Every skill Warrior has, has a huge fucking wind up. Leap is the only one that's vaguely tolerable.
I've changed between Ignite, Bleed and Armor break. And I've now stopped on Armor Break Pop. Because it's the only build that is vaguely fun to play.
Every thing else is incredibly slow, incredibly boring and dull and twice as hard as everyone else.
Even worse, the Trials are so fucking annoying as Warrior. You basically have to be overgeared and farmed honor resistance, OR you have to abuse HotG and spend most of the time running.
I've done my full ascendancy btw.
Warrior is dog shit and not fun. I only forced myself to this point, killing all bosses, just to prove I could and prove how unfun Warrior is.

I will tell you what they will do, they have 9 months to release 3 more acts, 24 ascendancies, 8 weapon types, 80 skill gems and many support gems, if you think they have time for fine tuning, they dont. They will just kill the obvious outliers, wont buff anything and fix obvious bugs + tinker with loot drop rates. This is EA in name only, the current content wont drasticaly change

Poe inherits the same kind of accuracy as Diablo 2 or morrowind

When you hit an enemy with yout attack the game rolls RND to decide whether they dodged or not.

Get Resolute Technique.
>never deal critical hit
>never miss an attack
With that skill you can forget that shit mechanic as a bad dream.

Basically every STR build has resolute technique.
Every DEX build has an assload of accuracy
Every INT build casts spells so it's not relevant.

Getting good at crafting in POE1 is a really kinda stupid endeavor at this point because GGG really aren't gonna port the system over to POE2 and there's so many things to learn to get a true grasp on POE1 crafting.

If you really do want to learn it, look up SpicySushi's youtube videos. He's a very good crafter and his videos have a mix of mirror tier crafting and approachable crafts.

this one? the whole point of sunder is it does 100% increased crit DMG and guarantees a crit on fully armor broken enemies. so in theory I went warbringer to get negative Armor and I will get upheaval later and more after shock to ton of aftershocks completely destroying anything in the way.

I'm not a big fan of POE2 right now as it is; I'm having more fun gallivanting through maps in POE1 in a chill manner. So no worries about wasted effort in learning the older crafting system. Though I also imagine it is similarly easier to buy completed crafts from people, but that assumes there's a supply or that they're online to begin with.

That's not really surprising, one hit builds would be less of a hassle for them to keep the servers up than a dozen triggers a second if everyone started playing one of those. If you want to have fun with a build like that for more than a day you have to be quicker than streamers in putting one together at the start of a league.

I tried. I really tried.

I've been waiting for this game for so long now that I told myself I would love it. I even built a new PC just for PoE 2 to enjoy it to its fullest.

And i don't.

The game is slow, tedious, and stressful. Not the good kind of stress, though, where you know there is a pay off at the end of enduring some unpleasant task, like being stuck in the car with your family for a car ride to your summer vacation spot. No, this is the stress where you wonder "What is the point of this?" while doing it. Fighting bosses over and over and over for the sake of progressing with no actual progression that happens at the end of it. because you just move on to more punishing mobs/bosses with little to no character power gained.

I don't even know if I have had any dopamine hits, truthfully. I've dropped 4 uniques and all of them have been low level trash items that i couldn't wear or had some downside that I couldn't stomach. I kept telling myself "just get to maps, that's where PoE shines, the endgame." However. I turn on streams and read reddit and learn the end game is just as, if not more, unrewarding, punishing, and just plain not fun.

To say im discouraged is an understatement. It is clear that GGG does not want PoE2 to be a ""chill game", and that is totally fine, but sadly they are really forcing a large player bases's hand in not engaging with their product. Losing 15% exp + loot of a map that you fail (due to a one shot or a single misstep) is incredibly deterring to "casuals" that may game 2-3 hours a night when the family goes to bed.

I really wanted to love PoE 2 but in its curresnt state, it is not enjoyable. Truthfully, i don't see these core philosophies changing, as it is clear this is the general direction for the game.

I'm a poe newb, I'm trying to do my first trade. Over the past 3 days I have sent around 100 direct messages from the poe2 trade site while online trying to get a pair of Kitoko's Current for 1-5 exalted, and I have not had one group invite or one reply back.

They want to avoid a necromancer situation where only one class truly plays minions well, after what happened with Guardian over its lifetime, so bonuses to minions are small and incidental for the foreseeable future.

Mercenary or Duelist, probably the former, is getting a 3rd ascendancy that has to deal with minions. Presumably Templar or Druid will be getting one too so there should be a handful of ascendancies that can play them.

I just beat that boss with my 1h+shield warrior. I literally stood in front of him and hit twice, then block, hit twice, block. In the second phase I had to move a bit because of the tornados etc but then continued hitting twice and then blocking.

Is witch just unfinished? Like they only made 6 out of 12 classes yet the 6 classes are clearly unfinished.
Take Witch for example, they clearly want you to either do a chaos/curse build or physical spell build but NOBODY is doing this on her, they just use "sorc spells" instead". Physical spell build would in theory be really good with the blood mage ascendancy, doing kickass crit damage. Problem is that there's only ONE good physicals spell and it can't clear regular mobs at all. For curses/chaos damage there is a SINGLE node that helps with it on the blood mage ascendancy, and that just makes curses last forever that is not even a problem if you're a chaos/curse as you will have shit long durations on them either way.
And on top of that, there's no good single target for chaos damage.

You can basically go ice or lightning. Ice clears with Ice Strike, Lightning clears with Storm Wave. Bell buffs your single target damage with either element, and combat frenzy -> resonance synergy can automatically generate power charges on either element as long as you have enough cold damage to freeze the occasional enemy.

Support gem supports skills
Supported skills do 50% less damage but inflict withered
I don't really get how it's complicated.
Whichever skill you put that gem into will do half damage and apply a debuff that will make all your other skills do more damage.

Trying to be creative witch witch but the lack of 1-handed weapons and str/int weapons makes it hard.
There's maybe something to playing with a scepter and a shield - you can add fonts to the shield wall ability that buff your minions - but it's not that worth it plus the shield wall breaks super easily
Totems might be fun to use alongside minions if they didn't require a martial weapon and right now maces are the only 1h martial weapon.
A dex/int witch build might work in the future with that one node that adds your dex to all of your minions, but again the lack of 1h dex weapons to use with your scepter limits it

I wouldn't say frequently, I got most of my upgrades throughout the campaign from shops or drops, but if I'm dry on an upgrade I will, and if I'm starting a new character and don't have a weapon/armour I'll do it since the starting town gambles are cheap.

There is a lot wrong with warrior outside of warcry abuse stuff. The damage window on bosses is atrocious if you play slams and you devolve into rolling -> default attack loops and you never get to actually slam because roll --> default attack will let you do more damage than trying to get a slam off. You'll get more as you naturally progress. However since you're leveling I'd suggest looking in the store every time you level up, it's pretty common to find something good there.
As I said I didn't gamble all that much, only when I was starting a new character or desperate (e.g. I begging for an upgrade, the store has nothing, nothing I slam currency on gives me any damage). As it's gambling you're going to lose a lot more than you win.

I think you stack STR and make your way down to the Giants Blood Passive through travel nodes. But since 2h Mace is so slow, you don't need to worry about your life issues anymore. And then you can stack life and leech and be insanely strong. Again though, I haven't tried it myself yet.

I know I'm one of maybe 5 Blight-Enjoyers that frequent PoEG but I think I figured out the reason it won't ever make it to PoE2.
Not because it is divisive due to lag and bad rigs.
Not because Roll would be worthless for the mechanic though I imagine that has some weight in the choice.
But because PoE2 felt like it was designed with consoles in mind, and trying to do a t16 blight ravaged map with an xbox controller was an absolute pain in the ass.

I'm having a decent time as flameblast crit chronomancer, in t12 maps without many problems, not crazy zoom zoom though since I gotta cast my blasts. What setup are you running? I think bloodmage with ES could be good with Vitality Siphon and Graping Wounds using Blood Magic. Basically your life just fuels spells. The crit stuff on bloodmage looks OK but too expensive. I'm using heavy ES with Energy Barrier on my flameblast, quite good for defense, then the life recoup from chrono helps fuel my spells (plus Temporal Rift which is imba). Blood magic is kinda nice in poe2 since health potions are much stronger than mana. You can add Pain Attunement pretty much for free. I'm using eye of winter with cast on ignite to stack the crit debuff. I tried fusillade with cast on ignite but it sucked. Hardcasting it mixed with flameblast for ignite could be interesting though.

So, we need more travel nodes to get to places right. And we can select what stats we want on those travels nodes. But they're nerfed. They removed evasion and ES. So only STR really gives you defensive stats. Also its only 5 points per node. So your off stat builds are even more cucked unless you get god rolls on armor pieces.
Okay considering all that, how did this incompetent team let it through QA testing?

Take off +1 chains and put on that -10% cast +25% dmg.

I have some small issues, like maps being mazes, the trillion on death effects, warrior being considerably slower to the point where some encounters feel almost impossible or outright unfair. But these are relatively minor or will be fixed with new gems or access to new weapons.
