It's been 2minutes without POE2. I'm going insane. I feel so terribly depressed and have been severely dehydrated from sobbing constantly now. I want to play poe2 so badly and the fact it's down is driving me to the point of tearing at my walls and floorboards to find any sort of relief for this horrible pain I'm experiencing. My neighbours are complaining about the constant loud wreckage noises and constant growlings, but I can't help it. It hurts so much that I can't bear the pain of not being able to play POE2. I tried to play POE2 on my TV and it didn't work, so I smashed it. I tried to play it on my phone and it didn't work so I destroyed it completely. I've been contemplating on using my neighbors devices to try, but they all seem so cautious of me now for some reason. My friends are coming over in an hour to hangout and most of the house is already evidently riddled with destruction. Scratched out walls, broken doors, the whole kitchen is a mess, I've punched the glass hoping POE2 would come back. It hasn't. Why must I be tormented like this? None of this would've happened if POE2 didn't become unplayable. I'm going to take the neighbours PC settup to try and play POE2 soon. I can't go on like this. I need to play POE2 NOW.

Even with two targets I noticed many bosses getting stuck in a state of constantly retargeting between the two players and doing nothing as a result.

The rarity boost in party is also no joke.

I honestly think the most concerning thing for me is that like half the weapons are in, half the classes are in, less than half of the ascendancies are in and yet the current weapons feel unfinished and the passive tree also feels unfinished.

Each weapon gets one fucking wheel on the tree. Everything else is just generic attack, elemental, physical, chaos damage, etc. It is boring as shit. It also is fucking retarded because if I want to play a warrior with a quarter staff I can't get any staff nodes (all, ya know, one wheel of them) even though in PoE1 there were tons of different nodes for all the different weapon types.
Also the weapon skill sets are just not good enough. Part of it is like 80% of skills being bad, the other part of it is just... ya know... every mace skill is le slam that is slow as fuck. The only sort of interesting things about crossbows are grenades. I dunno, I just think they outright need to rework the passive tree AND the current weapons AND the future weapons. This shit is coming out in 2026.

Attribute requirements are too high currently imo. I am barely keeping up on the main weapon and I would have to downgrade on both the weapon and skills if I want to mix in skills from another weapon.
Things will probably become better when they add the missing weapons and classes but still.

You don't need more than 2 supports for SRS to break the early game. More attack speed and more fire damage. Pick up minion nodes on the tree. Melt every boss. If you can't pull this off you're seriously fucking up somewhere. Unless it got hit with a nerf this patch then you might be fucked.

Cast on Freeze says its Max energy is 10 for every 0.13 seconds of BASE cast time of socketed spells.
I socket Comet which has a BASE cast time of 1 second with an additional 1 second added on to the total making the total cast time 2 seconds, but the base cast time is still 1 second.
So the max energy should be 1/0.13 * 10 = 77.
But the max energy is 153, since it's counting that additional 1 second as part of the base cast time.

Is this a bug or are GGG just stupid and don't know what Base actually means?

People have yet to learn how important defenses are in endgame and it's almost entirely a defensive ascendancy. Also life recoup nodes got hit hard before launch. In the leaked skill trees it was possible to hit 100% recoup with chrono which would've been incredibly strong. It might still be possible but it's a big investment to do so.

Bonestorm is AMAZING for bosses, the problem with blood mage is that they have no good AoE/mob clear. I've been using Arc for that and feel like there really should be a decent AoE spell for them.
Like after skill level V on gems you don't get a single thing for physical spells pretty much.

The Ascendancy is almost entirely turned towards defense, but the skills are amazing.
For example, so long as you don't get one shot you get to undo any mistake you made in the past 6 seconds with a 4 second cooldown.

You also get to slow down anything that comes close to you by 20% with no restrictions. Anything that comes close to you has 20% reduced action speed. People say this is among the worst ascendancy passives available but I've been using it and the difference is massive.
The recoup sounds cool and all but at the moment Time Snap has been more than enough as a form of recovery, so I'm still figuring out the best options to take on the tree.

But it seems kinda shit? It only consumes frost buildup to improve ignite on frozen enemies. Latest try is Whirling Assault. I don't know why it does so little damage. Whirlwind/Cyclone is the archetypal melee skill in ARPGs and it's so weak here. The only thing it's good for is the bell, and it's definitely the most incredible single target I've had this early. Clear is so bad though

How utterly retarded are these devs. I could handwave the atrociously bad loot system, the awfully designed corridor maze maps, bosses horrific visuals where can't see shit on the ground because it's covered in other spell effects, the numerous amounts of loadings screens in a game released in 2024, M being default bound to the store, absurd respec costs and no way to see a proper breakdown of stats.

Surely they could have announced this change was going to be happening where they were bricking builds a couple of days so people like me, who haven't been sweating 24/7 would be able to use to build to farm mats and currency ready to respec.

Me too. I was determined to play a Blood Mage regardless of streamers, because I like the whole vampire/death knight fantasy with blood as a resource. Yeah, it's cringe, but that's how it started. I couldn't get bleed to work due to low self-sustain, which felt like I shouldn't have picked the ascendancy. Then I switched to a full on crit build and played around with Frost Wall and Comet. It was stronger than whatever the Frozen Orb thing was, so I stuck with it.

Gotta go back to the drawing board again now. The Cast on Freeze mechanic triggered like 5 times in total in a whole map..

i found it too. cast on freeze is the only good spirit gem on sorc until you get 100 spirit for archmage. my first thought was cast on freeze cold snap but comet just has enough energy cost to trigger it once per freeze.

No they're just trying to create a muted baseline, once every main build is sufficiently neutered in scale and easier to tune individually, they'll start doing buffs across the board. But that won't be for a long time in the EA cycle, 3-4 months at least. Until then, everybody's build is on thin ice.

It's really not that hard to stumble across it, unless you're a retard.
I got a good Cold Staff at the start of the game that gave +2 Cold Spells. So it was a no brainer to go into Cold. The only comparable thing I got was a similar staff that gave +2 Lightning but after trying that out it fizzled, and I quickly swapped back to Freeze after 5 minutes.
Figure out quite quickly that Freezing mobs is quite easy and quite strong.
Cast on Freeze/Shock/Ignite is recommended by the game as the second tier of Passive options.
What else am I going to spend my Passive Gem on. I picked up Cast on Freeze to try it out.
Try it out using Frost Nova, it procs a decent amount but I have to be close so I don't use it.
Finally get Comet, try it out.
Don't like the Cast time, throw it on Cast on Freeze to see how it interacts with it.
Boom, my build for the rest of the game until now.

I was thinking swapping Cast on Freeze out for Archmage and see how that works.
Without Cast on Freeze comets flying out constantly the Mana Regen we've been building should mean we can sustain Archmage on our non channel spells.
Keep Elemental Invocation, if you have enough Spirit, as the Boss/Rare nuke.
