Michael, did I ever tell you about Jackie? She was your my friend's exotic clown alien animatronic, a fine piece of clussy from a more civilized age. She had the tightest body and the perkiest little breasts in the pizzeria; barely legal in most restaurants. Henry and I used to doubleteam her at the end of every successful day during 1979, and once in a while we’d even have the entire pizzeria run a train over her, part of official Freddy Fazbear's “training” of course. In time, she learned how to handle a meat wand better than anyone in the pizzeria. She wore a miniskirt every day so we told her there were no panties in the restaurant, and since she was constantly doing acrobatics you’d get a glimpse of her clussy mid fight as she’d do a flip. It was surreal. We taught her to grip her microphone backwards like a dildo and she constantly got captured by robofuckers almost every other day. It was ridiculous, like a constant porno Michael, you have no idea. And she was a good friend.

Just got back from a long ass day of work and checked out the update and I'd just like to say I find it so fucking funny that the exact same thing that happened with Vanessa's eyes looking yellow happened with Tiger Rock.

I think it's worth noting that the inside of the Tiger Rock plushie's mouth has a fiber mesh inside.
The only other place we see this is with the mascot suits (Glitchtrap, the RUIN Mascot suits). It also has a zipper on it's back.

Oh shit you know what would be cool? Final boss of Sotm is either a Tiger Rock mascot suit, whos design eventually gets reused for a proper animatronic later down the line, or an amalgam of all the suits The Mimic wears in the game with all the relative abilities.

unfortunately that's not really a given in this series, but at least they're on the right track of getting their shit together and just coming out and saying, "Yeah Murray exists and so does his company, yeah Tiger Rock exists exactly how he's described in the books." among other things. Hopefully this continues, mystery doesn't need to come from utter confusion about what events even happened and with who, it should be built up properly.

I'd have to wonder how considering David got hit by a car, and likely died on the spot or in the hospital, unless The Mimic went grave robbing at 4am after getting the shit kicked out of him by Edwin. It’s the only likely location that we know of, anon. The rules on the wall change to papers about the killings, it’s an old location that was reopened and has THE robots that are possessed in it, it’s seen in the FNAF2 Freddy POV sequences where all the victims of the MCI plus the Puppet are there, the FNAF2 location preceded it before the Bite happened, so the timeline would look like

>FNAF1 Location soon after 87 (we learned it took place not too long after in The Week Before)

The alternative option is to have the chance that somebody buys the land and finds the place multiple murders happened at when excavating underground which might get them into legal trouble, the pizzaplex kills two birds with one stone and draws in tourism for the surrounding area.

Fazbear Entertainment selling merch of dead children and child murderers just casually, waiting until everyone associated with the family is either too old to sue without being bankrupted or far enough away from knowing the victim to where they don't care enough to pursue legal action.
You have have shelves lined with Princess Quest plushies bundled with Purple Guy (idk if they'd directly name Afton in universe of if they've scrubbed him from the company history completely) and the two are smiling together. I honestly love that idea and I do hope the series does at some point show just how big the brand has become to where they try to profit off of every single death and tragedy surrounding them, and nobody can stop them.

I’d say it’s like a middleground between a freddy fazbear’s pizzeria and fazbear’s fright and a middleground like that is something I’d like seeing for a location in a future game. Make it spooky but also a bit campy, maybe also give it a bit of a halloween theme too with some animatronics witch and bats along with the freddy’s crew

I was slightly inspired by tim burton when designing these mallgoth style animatronics and I was thinking their resturant would have a creepy vibe but not be a horror attraction like fazbear’s fright. Either way, I feel unsatisfied with my take on them and might redo it at some point.

So apparently the HW2 Jackie literally only has her base textures applied. She's probably meant to be more detailed like how fans imagined but that was removed (along with her rigging) because she doesn't do anything in-game so there was no reason to keep it.

With Tim Burton, you can never go wrong with stripes and swirls, more desaturated base colors with a more striking color as accents might help too (and when I mean desaturated I mean reaalllyyy desaturated, almost grey but not quite)

It was gimped, but if the powers holding Steelwool's leash weren't so tightgripped and retarded we could've gotten something better. Before this it was mostly "who is pepe silva" tier autism and guessing at plot threads we already had, sometimes making better stories than Scott, and when we guessed right, he'd just completely rejig it ruining it entirely.

It is not fun going 10 games with 3 pieces of a 100 part jigsaw, only for the guy to throw out most of the other pieces. That's the same shit as Lost, but worse.

Not convoluted? They put things in the game they didn't know what to do with or what the significance was, because Scott was being vague.
Endings turned into comics because they ran out of budget. No race against Roxy. No bossfight against her period. The rest are also stretching it.
They had no idea what Burntrap was or what to do with him.
Disjointed setting with areas where nothing of substance happens, like the bowling alley.
Running around big areas for fetch quests to pad it out. Everyone hates Mazercise.

Steel Wool knows how to make linear horror, just not open horror, they're good at scripted events and more linear gameplay which is why Security Breach failed in making a lot of proper horror moments, you can't get an AI to do something if it's a constant threat in an open area, 's why Ruin is better since MXES provides a more linear experience in terms of managing the puzzles with everything else, though the baseline is kind of an issue just by proxy of still having to rely on AI for most of the events. Sotm will likely be more linear, I feel, as will the next game that's not VR.

I feel like the Scott stuff more affected the story (or lack thereof, considering the random shit like Gregory mentioning the missing children that are never mentioned until 6am among other things), as opposed to the gameplay. You have a big open space to run around in, which means more to account for in terms of the AI, and in SB's case you can jump on a table and the AI can't do shit, it's not smart, which makes sense, since Steel Wool have never made an AI that could work in an open space like that, along with them having to fit the game on a PS4 and other shit like you said.
It's why the best sections in SB are the smaller and more linear sections where that doesn't matter (like the endo warehouse where it's a small space where the AI can't easily be confused, or Roxy's section where you have to lure her away with sound, or the D.J music man section where he does shit based on where you are in the level and doesn't really actually roam around).

There is a complete pizzaplex that is better spaced and makes more sense in the files that was instnatly restored by modders when the game came out, from what I remember SW had to cut it because it couldn't run on PS4. Then for Scott, you had the whole burntrap thing being made a boss with Vanny and Roxy being cut for time, SW had cited Scott forcing them to change large swathes of the game along with sony as the reason for these cuts.
I think if they were able to get another shot at making this game without the retards on their ass they could make a better game, HW1_2, and ruin shows they can do decent stuff when they have time and proper comms with the people they need.

It did nothing but torment Cassie, and if the Scooper ending is canon then they think The Mimic is decommissioned. The elevator ending would make sense but still we're taking the scooper ending in consideration because nothing guarantees the Mimic1 program won't resurface in some way. Roxy could have lifted it like it with the forklift somehow or used one. The reason? Roxy probably told Cassie about the MXES' true function and that's why they took him with them (especially if it's the elevator ending where the Mimic it's on the loose so the MXES would come in handy for that) but they couldn't risk booting it up right away so that's why he seems clueless as he's being taken away. Roxy also would need the van's battery to charge up as well.

Also it's important to note that the first few stories of Tales were made before Scott had to retcon the Mimic stuff in after SB, which is likely why Frailty (or whatever the one with the magic trash necklace) exists and references Eleanor. The post SB stuff are the Mimic Epilogues and some of the later entries in Frights, note how story #7 of 8 is where we get the Tiger Rock story, #5 is where we get GGY, and #6 is where we get the titular "The Mimic" story, all much later into the process, and likely written with telling a specific story that wasn't told in SB in mind (which we're clearly now getting in the game, as seen with the HW2 update).

Well he's the main "threat" in terms of what gets you killed along with his constant (and also cool as fuck) jumpscares if you stay in the VR world for too long. The stalking and constant threat for what's the main gimmick of the game makes him memorable enough but The Mimic with a 2 minute shitty chase scene (shitty in terms of being able to walk and escape him lol, The Mimic has a killer design) was so cool with his intro that it usurped Mxes completely.

In fact if anything it supports those posts because Andrew doesn't take up any of the character that Cassidy could've had being Toysnhk, isn't the special one out of the MCI, and is now only a character in the new Frights canon which is completely different from the original book form for both the novel and the game. If Andrew does exist and contradicts stitchline then we have no indication that the story as it happened in Stitchline happened. ITP and Return to the Pit change a lot, mostly to fit in with game canon, so there's no indication anything in the stingers happened, since Oswald seems to be stuck in a time loop of sorts. Scott is actively changing the lore of ITP, and thus Stichline, to fit in with game canon, and we don't know how much those stories will change, but it currently, as it stands, de-canonizes those, with the future of what happens exactly being uncertain.

It seems fnaf is in an eternal stage of Touhouification, where the characters, memes and fan media matter more to the fans than the games themselves.
It's common knowledge a lot of fnaf fans never played the games, but this is more obvious with Security Breach, which was dogshit, but because the glamrocks and pizzaplex are good for fanart, people started singing it praise, also doesn't help that a lot of them watched edited playthroughs that cut all the boring parts, which makes them believe it's more fun than it actually is.

It doesn't help that a lot of the franchise is vr games that a lot of people can't play on launch and books nobody wants to read, which makes people rely more on secondhand videos to learn and form their opinions on new releases of the franchise

Hot take, but FNAF gameplay always sucked, designs, porn, theories and discussion, and the fanbase has always been the meat of FNAF as a franchise. It's possible that story was written before Scott had to put in the Mimic stuff, and couldn't change it, as in the original first Tales book there were no epilouges. The one you're referring to is literally the first one, so it was written in a much different context than the later stories with The Mimic.

Ballpit now actually has reality-altering abilities that more or less do what time travel would do, ie alter events of the past and thus change the future
And in one of the endings in RttP, the Ballpit dissapears because Oswald prevented the events that lead to its creation, this getting stuck in the past kinda

Like Puppet was canonically there during FNAF 1 and we just didn't see because Scott didn't create or even thought of the character until 2, depending on the timeline even Springtrap was there inside the safe room already

I mean I said "close enough" not he's literally him, and no he has Afton's memories in some form, that's how he's aware of the MCI (as well as Charlie who The Mimic just wouldn't know) and spring bonnie to mimic them in the first place in the form of Glitchtrap, Glitchtrap as an entity is a mix of the Mimic1 program (thus The Mimic's memories as shown with the Edwin, Jackie, and Tiger Rock stuff in HW2's update) and some form of Afton's memories (as shown with all the MCI related stuff).

There's really nothing in the games that suggest her being a brat or spoiled child outside of conjectural interpretation, her constantly bothering and disobeying her father to see baby is the result of any child being excited for a giant doll robot, and not necessarily for being a pesky brat, if anything, her dialogue sounds more polite than typical child whining.
William making Baby "just for her" isn't also really evidence he pampered her specially because it was not true (he made baby primarily to kill kids, not appease his daughter). And she's shown to be an abuse victim in tfc so you can't really use the books for evidence either

I mean Abby is a different character (and contextually a mixture of Elizabeth and Charlie from TSE), so I wouldn't take that as indication any more than I'd take her novel interpretation since it's a different canon. It's more people interpret her being pushy about Baby to William and the fact that she has like 6 voice lines along with her just kinda disobeying William when he tells her not to see Baby. I don't think it's that much in terms of going either way, but I wouldn't exactly call her an angel or anything, probably somewhere more inbetween.
I kinda wish we got more character for the Afton's in game pre... well, them being murdered to properly know more about that, we don't really know what Mike, Elizabeth, and CC think of eachother, and barely know what William thinks of them (besides probably hating Michael for obvious reasons).

The only canonical thing that matters in Frights is everything mentioned in the Stitchwraith stingers, I'm not one of those retards who thinks the stories sonic 06'd themselves, but Scott is actively changing the story in ways to make Frights line up more with canon (considering Return to the Pit just straight up doesn't have Andrew), so it's likely the story is a bit different, and in that difference wouldn't include the weird shit.

Yes, Afton is dead, there's no reason to bring him back unless the whole point is that he's fake or a VR video game version like in AR (which probably isn't even canon at this point) or Help Wanted 1. It's The Mimic's story, the Afton stuff was just to transition over from the series' main villain while showing how threatening the Mimic1 program could be if left unchecked.

im writing more concept shit for my retarded rpg fangame and i'm having trouble fitting in these two retards anywhere in the story. But actually, mostly the SL room in Security Breach that has the wall code, the very obvious Afton parallels with Gregory, Vanessa, and Freddy, the fact that only Mike and Henry would know about Springtrap and Scrap Baby (both of which appear on Arcade Machines in Security Breach(, only Mike or CC would know about the Nightmares, and CC is 6 feet under, and in a story that's about the past coming back to haunt the present (as we're seeing a lot with The Mimic) Mike would be a perfect character to represent that, as the entire reason any of this happened in the first place (i.e Fazbear's rise after Fnaf 6) was because of a person who was so affected by the past and couldn't let go of it, along with Mike's entire (or the best guess anyways) character being him not being able to let go of what he did to CC in the past and trying to make amends. We also see this with Cassie's dad likely being the Bonnie bully and going through the same thing, in Ruin there's specifically Bonnie and Foxy masks in AR, nobody else. The pizzaplex being based off of the 80's is because Mike would have nostalgia for the time he wasn't a shambling corpse man, and Freddy is the way he is because Mike would want to make sure nothing bad happened to a kid again under his watch.
Unfortunately, the past came back to bite him in the form of Glitchtrap and The Mimic. It's pure conjecture desu since the current story isn't about the people running Fazbear Ent, but I haven't seen much to go against it so it's one of my favorite headcannons at the moment for who runs the company.

Basically just a favored idea of mine that I've seen no evidence against so far, and I love talking about it. If it is canon then Scott will become my favorite storyteller of all time because the idea goes hard, but if it isn't that's also fine because I love the idea and will probably use it in my own stuff lol.

This issue applies to a lot of fnaf characters actually, like Gregory isn't literally hitler because he dropped Cassie down an elevator, he's not an uwu perfect angel boy who can do nothing wrong and is only acting in self defense either, he downplays stealing parts from the other animatronics to Freddy among other things.
Did William care about his kids? No. But did he care in his own weird way to try to help CC through the Fredbear plush, along with telling Elizabeth not to go near Baby so she didn't die? Yeah.
Weirdly the only time I see this not applying in the fanbase is the novel versions of the characters, but nobody talks about them besides autists like myself who actually read, but Scott isn't writing one-not caricatures who only have one trait ever, and a lot of these news books and lore bits are clearly showing that.

I completely disagree in that notion, even if we assume Scott doesn't write complex characters that still doesn't mean Cassidy acts the same towards everyone by default, but saying Scott doesn't write or try to write complex characters is a bit downplaying a huge chunk of the series, and also... literally the entirety of the week before, and the survival logbook where she treats many characters contextually different depending on circumstance? None of those are headcanon, I have many of those (see the Afton paragraph above thats mostly speculation), but Cassidy isn't one-note.

Scott and Steel Wool realised you don't need to develop their characters too much, the fans will do it for them.
Back in the old days, the animatronics had no personality traits and the fans still made a shit ton of fan fics to them based on headcanon and charisma alone.
In sb, by giving the glamrocks the bare minimum personality traits was enough to turn them into fan favourites

The new books blatantly contradict the events of Frights and make them fit more in line with the games, so it's likely Scott is changing the story of those books to make them canon, with an example being Andrew (basically Frights version of Cassidy) not existing and being replaced with Cassidy.

Return to the pit says verbatim that there are only 5 MCI kids, and the interactive novels so far have not contradicted canon in any way, other than giving different tidbits of lore. Scott is actively changing the canon of Into the Pit, which took place in Frights where there were 6 MCI kids.
