My Feedback
90% of PoE2's issues can be fixed with higher loot drops and currency drops
>i dont feel strong enough around act2/3 onwards
fixed with loot drops and currency drops to craft
>i cant craft gear from magic to rare
huge increased regal and exalt drops would fix this and the above issue, crafting gear should be the absolute focus with all these white base gear items dropping and with no rare loot or currency dropping you are fucked by the time cruel hits
>dont feel rewarded for beating areas
add 1 unique item to each big boss fight in story mode and maps, it can be absolute dogshit at least its something especially during campaign and with bosses only showing up in 4 maps in endgame
>craft blues become bricked
add a magic chaos orb that can take 1 mod and add another which is 1 more chance to your magic gear crafting
>maps are too big
add a transport to checkpoint 1 or checkpoint 2 for huge maps, due to backtracking
>mapping kill all monsters
add skulls to the last 3-5 monsters on the map so people dont need to go across the entire map to find them
>chests have nothing
chests should always have currency
>vendors too expensive
should be much cheaper to gamba for gear during campaign and increased a little during mapping equal to what you get per map you should be able to gamba at least 1 gear per 1-2 maps
>runes
runes should be craftable and when slotting in a new rune destroys your current rune and replaces it and if you have more than 1 rune in gear its random which rune is destroyed more gamba
>spirit
i think it should be a rollable mod on all gear just a imo take to allow more build diversity
>ascendency
you die instantly in ultimatum unless you are built like a tank or got lucky with your gear during story or you are fucked, sanctum same shit its more a dps check, i think they should keep the sanctum layout and remove the honour system and if you die the run ends, lower the mods on ultimatum tenfold
>targeting also feels weird on mouse

this is so HARDCORE and BASED and my dads will be so impressed when I reach level 95 and can clear a white map in under 20 minutes of slow walking. GOTY GOTD GOAT

How do I do single target damage as a new monk? I was doing good with falling thunder but then I got to bosses and I have no way of gaining charges because theres nothing to cull so it does pitiful damage. What skills should I build to do damage without charges?

The ABSOLUTE WORST thing about POE2

It is clear that POE2 is a very different game to POE1 or other popular arpgs.
Some people are having a blast, but others are facing a very different experience.

But instead of accepting this as part of what POE2 is and maybe helping people find the fun they are clearly missing in their experiences. The most prevalent response is belittling, name-calling and insults.
If this would be a seldom incident, It would be understandable, but the fact that it is almost 50% of responses...
Leaves a taste in one's mouth.

Not a very pleasant one.

Why did they think it was okay to dilute the mod pool with shit like light radius when items now have 4-6 prefixes/suffixes half of which are garbage?
Why did they think it was put character progression like ascendency behind RNG trials that can completely brick a build?
Why did they think it was okay for the respec cost to shoot through the roof at later points of the game making it useless outside of swapping like 1-2 points situationally?
Why did they make currency in acts so scarce despite making an explicit statement that this wouldn't be the case?
Why is the performance so trash compared to poe1 despite the game not even looking good for 2024 standards?
Why are there like 2-3 strong skill gems and the rest are complete garbage and gated behind high attribute requirements/uncut gem tiers?
This game is such a rushed slop it's not funny.

Are chaos spells good?
Has anyone figured out how to make hexblast work? I guess you can use that floor curses support to enable it.
Biggest issue I guess is not having an ascendacy to support it, maybe. I'm thinking blood mage just for crit and leech but I have read that blood mage kinda sucks ass

Contagion+ED is good, but the shitty auto aim makes you want to kill yourself a lot of the time. Manual Hexblast is fucking cancer and i tapped out after like ten minutes. Maybe some kind of cast on set up.

At least there are spells for chaos I guess. I have no fucking clue what chaos monk is supposed to be doing.

Why are none of the poe streamers enthustiastic about the game? They're completely dead inside playing only because that's where the money is and because of their obligations to the subathon memes, other than that, they're not enjoying their time at all. The only two people who are enjoying the game are Alkaizer, who is so severely autistic he would enjoy this turd even if it was 20x worse than it currently is, and Ben, who doesn't really care about state of PoE other than being able to practice for future races so he can secure his >$20k/year payouts for winning like he did poe1.

your damage is either dots or minion melee/aoe dmg. BUT minions have a bad habit of dying fast. the only option is fire wall + srs and roll spam/praying. but you get srs in act 2-ish.

it's not about the damage, the mana costs are wacky between skills, some skills only hit mobs in front vs. clearing the entire pack, melee skills are not usable while moving while spells/projs are, the skill balance is all over the place

In the vast majority of boss fights the adds are meant to help you, not hurt you. You get a shitton of flask charge back from mulching them and by the point you reach the boss they should fall over like paper even if the boss itself isn't.
If you're struggling with the wolf adds you will get raped by Act 2 minute one.

in an ARPG the entire point is getting loot to improve your character/get stronger. BUT since loot doesn't exist, you can't reliably get stronger. Even stacking damage nodes, you are still fucked without good gear, because a SINGLE WAND can have like, +50% minion damage.

Something is off, scaling is off. Particularly abilities/minions.

I don't get it, Chaos Bolt does Chaos Damage by default
If I apply Withering Touch to it, that damage is reduced by 50%, but it adds the Withered debuff to every hit
Withered debuff increases Chaos damage by 5%, stacks up to 10 times
So I'm reducing my damage of Chaos Bolt by 50%, so that I can hit an enemy 10 times to get my 50% damage back?????

It only lasts 4 seconds and would only be good for a boss enemy, so wasting time shooting 10 no damage bolts assuming you don't need to dodge or run away from attacks in between firing those 10 shots is not going to be worth an extra 50% damage for another skill. Lmao wow, you've got to be kidding me. Dude just has a 1 shot kill move that was LITERALLY impossible for me to avoid because I had a minus movement speed affliction. I even have MS on my boots and on the tree and there was not enough time to touch the hour glasses.

He also has way too much HP but I was still beating him, I only took about 500 honor damage getting him to like 40%. But then he has to have some bullshit 1 shot attack.

Lingering Illusion's duration is extremely short even with the 40% increased SED gem. I'm guessing it lasts maybe 0.6-0.7 seconds at best with the gem which makes the dodge window to gain power charges extremely tight. Even if you have 10 mobs wailing on you sometimes they have such large wind-ups you need to dodge perfectly for the thing to last long enough to die.

Campaign bosses killed after the first kill will now drop less currency items, replacing them with other items.
Increased the drop rate of Regal Orbs.
Significantly increased the drop rate of Gemcutter's Prisms.
A single Gemcutter's Prism also improves the Quality of a Skill Gem by +5% (previously +1%).
Lowered the drop rate of Chaos Orbs and distributed it amongst the other more valued Currency Items (Like Regal Orbs, Exalted Orbs).
Lowered the drop rate of Artificer's Orbs and distributed it to Lesser Jeweller's Orbs.
Disenchanting Rare Items with 6 Modifiers now provides 2 Regal Shards (previously 1). The value displayed will still show as 1 until a later patch.
Increased the values of all Prefix Modifiers that can roll on Waystones. We've also adjusted the chances of getting the more commonly powerful Modifiers such as increases to Rarity and Pack Size.
Monster Modifiers now grant higher amounts of Item Rarity and Item Quantity. This is most common on Magic and Rare enemies, but also affects Unique Enemies if applied through various Endgame Mechanics like the Deadly Evolution Keystone.
Increased the chance for Rare Monsters in Maps to have 3 or 4 modifiers.
Rare Monsters in Map areas are now revealed on the minimap when there are 200 Monsters remaining (previously 50).
Fixed a bug where some Persistent Buff Skills, such as Raging Spirits and Mana Remnants, were not working for the Infernalist when in Demon Form.
Fixed a bug where you could sometimes be unable to interact with the Map Device in The Ziggurat Refuge.
Fixed a bug where Monsters Shattered in a Blood Circle Ultimatum Encounter were not contributing blood.
Fixed a bug that could cause the instance to permanently stop time (freeze) when trying to revive a Chronomancer.
Fixed a bug where Rare Monsters could not be found within the Chimeral Wetlands.
Fixed a bug where "Move only" was name-locking.
Fixed three instance crashes.
Fixed a client crash.

How tf poe2 is comparable to ruthless? I've only played poe2, but from what I heard ruthless was absolute shit where you have to savor every trans and alt orb.
I've only completed act 1 yet, but I already have 5 alchemy orbs and 3 exalts! And I don't even have to use them to craft anything, since roll in poe2 trivializes most of the content!

Absolutely not, the next thing they are going to have to buff is exalt drop rates. The whole crafting system, which players are supposed to be using all the way through the acts by the way, depends on the ability to exalt slam. Either that, or they need to add more essence mobs, like one per zone even during the acts.

The Adaptive Capability node is bugged, it doesn't let you upgrade existing skill gems to a higher level even if you would meet the stat requirement to use them. Basically my main skill is locked to level 12 and I can't upgrade it unless I waste a bunch of gold to respec stats to upgrade it then waste even more to respec back to full str.

I can't believe they continuously lied about how shit melee is. They didn't fucking improve it AT ALL. EVERY OTHER PLAYSTYLE GOT BUFFED.

Just look at the attacks. Your hammer just bounces off everything like it's a rubber spring, no impact what so ever, the sound and particle things give the illusion of impact, you should be sending mobs flying and reeling from mace hits, your character should lunge at them for attacks not just stand on spot and wack

look at the characters feet when you do melee attacks, they barely move

I fucking KNEW that loot drops were converting into/competing with gold rather than it being a separate drop; literally the exact same fucking issue as the Kalandra arch nemesis shit where you'd kill a pack and get 20 flasks because all the drops got converted. Or the infamous Solaris-touched loot goblin monster that dropped dozens of currency items that were causing people to hire cull-bots to follow them around with magic find to multiply the result.

okay is it just me or is earthquake janky as fuck?

if i cast it more than once in the same spot or close to each other that the areas would overlap, the second cast seems to just do nothing and dissapear, but if i cast them far enough apart that their areas dont overlap i can have multiple concurrent earthquakes detonating.

is that how this works? because casting it in one spot even if i cast it 3 or 4 times i only get 1 earthquake explosion, but if i cast it in 3 or 4 different spots away from each other they all explode in the sequence i cast them like you would expect them to.

One of the attacks has to have bugged damage because you can tank million hits from the boss but that one same attack has 1 shot so many characters. It only happens if the player is half way over across the arena

Half of it is standard 4chan contrarianism that would argue laying down on rusty nails is baller if they saw enough people disliking it.

The changes they are making are fine. Its fun being able to engage with more things. The biggest problem I found was when you have a shit weapon, the game is brutal. When you have a good weapon the game is fun. Trying to go from bad weapon to a more serviceable weapon was weird.

can you read? the player size is normally 1, they changed it so during rolls you are now size 0, so for the purposes of collision ANY gap is sufficient to squeeze through. If enemy models are contiguous with no gaps, or there's a single fat enemy, you still can't roll through them without the meme unique boots that give phasing, but otherwise you should be able to get out

From doing more floors in Sanctum and more rounds in Ultimatum.
What I don't know is if the 2nd Sanctum floor can give you your 3rd set of points if you got your first points from the two quest trials.

whole fight felt bugged, even the music stops when he flies away, then you have to run around the giant arena to find him just to have him fly away again the second you start hitting him in melee
wasn't taking that much damage, but wasn't doing any either, then all of a sudden I just got a DoT on me that did nearly my entire health pool in damage while out damaging my flask

Hitboxes in PoE's engine are a 2D circle/cone shape, people have already fully tested and determined them.
The cool (hilarious) part, is that because they exist in 2D space, if an attack hits the ground, not touching you, but visually it was "past" (behind) your character, your characters hitbox "visually overlaps" with it on the ground, registering a hit on you.

Yea. This is another nail in the coffin of melee because you want to be as far away from anything as much as possible, not close to it.
