When was the last good Neptunia game...? I kinda dropped out of the series not long after the V2 motion capture game came out. I remember absolutely adoring Victory, base victory was amazing fun and was joke after joke after joke. But then I played mk2 which was a miserable pile of mean natured crap who's only amusing gags were the weird Madoka Magica sequence with Nisa, and then V2 also felt way less fun than any of the other games with a kinda obnoxious Mary Sue heroine.

I'll try to start some serious discussion. What do you guys think about the most recent Compile Heart games in general? Do you guys think that they are better without Norihisa Kochiwa? Personally, I think that even without him, the Neptunia games are still worth playing and still have the charm that previous games also have, Neptunia: Sisters VS Sisters and Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution are still Neptunia games in a lot of ways, the colorful graphics, sense of humor etc are all there, that said, we already know that Norihisa Kochiwa resigned as CEO of Compile Heart several years ago, and several years later, we should be able to tell if there are differences between the most recent games and games made when Norihisa Kochiwa was the CEO of Compile Heart.

And of course, ending it with the cutest smile in gamindustri to cap off Rebirth 1. Really love the game, especially the character interactions (which I’m saddened that many were cut). A bit grindy but either from stockholm syndrome or it just clicked, I enjoyed the Plan making and item gathering. Additionally, the boss killing for massive amounts of exp was fun in a chill way. Overall, really enjoyed it and can’t wait to play Rebirth 2.

I did not mention this, but I also ordered a set of the Nepugurumi plushies from eBay. I thought to just get Blanc, but I figured she'd miss her sisters, and they were only as much as her put together, so I got them, too. They're not as soft as the Mochi plushies, but I like how detailed they are. They're excellent recreations of Plutia's plushies in the games, and probably the best Neptunia plushies overall. I put them just above my media center, fittingly in a space where I kept books from my childhood and adolescence.
