>>504928973No it is not because people aren't going to stand by and let all of civilization be taken over by a select few at the top with literally nothing left for the billions "beneath" them. This isn't a movie or a tv show, this is reality. Things happen slowly and over time especially massive societal paradigm shifts.
Besides .... CEOs are dying left right and center everywhere to WW2 spy weapons in the streets. They bleed just like the rest of us and they know it. If they don't know it yet they will be made to know it by the rest of society. Breaking a few eggs to make an omelet kind of thing ~
We're gonna be okay. Don't worry.
>>504929202You're a dummy who doesn't understand the big picture. A year ago this model was creating platforming sprite-based side scrollers. Now it is creating entire simulated worlds after only one year of development. It's not just about the end product with emerging technology like AI which is actually a massive meta-development - it's about the rate of development and progression.
You're just in denial.
Thousands of years ago when people lived in caves they never conceived of writing.
Then hundreds of years ago when people had writing they never conceived of printed books.
Then we got printed books and people couldn't fathom moving pictures.
Then we got film and television and people couldn't fathom interactivity.
Then we got video games and people couldn't fathom realism.
Then we got 3D engines and photo-realistic graphics and people can't fathom immersion and scale.
... but these are coming, just like all the advances that came before it. Like I said: society marches forward. Being in denial about the impact of technology is just willful ignorance of history which is easily studied.
Future World Of Warcraft will literally be fully realistic and full immersive as a neuro-interactive simulation. Can't wait to bang a nelf with the computer sending olfactory data into my brain to tell me what she smells like. >:)
