So block and evade can completely negate a heavy hit, but 1/N attacks will go through and smear you across the floor. So you want armor to hedge your bets.
Except armor is more effective against smaller hits.
So what are you meant to use against heavy hits? And don't say endurance charges, I want a REAL answer

Ok, I won't say it.
Most importantly, have a good pool. There's a reason trickster is meta right now. It's because they can scale pool and damage at the same time.
Other than pool, Flesh and stone (sand stance, good for all builds that don't need to be in blood stance badly), petrified blood (not for all builds), progenesis, sources of raw dmg reduction like doppelganger's guise etc, enfeeble, malediction, spell suppression, armour (yes it helps against big hits too, just less), crab barriers, converting damage to more favorable damage types, arctic armour.

I never heard of lifestacking hexblast but I don't know how you build defenses on that.
Yeah the blind node is good but how are you going to recover your huge life pool and protect it?
I looked up the SC necrosettlers chars running that build (no one is playing it on HC trade) and none of those look like they can handle HC to me. Maybe if you just never leave sanctum? But I'm sure you can build a better sanctum farmer than a lifestacker.
