This franchise would unironically be a lot more popular if there were more Eldar and human teamwork.

Same. I'll just have to cobble together a SG melee build and hope it doesn't suck dick. I'm really tempted to not bother with DD and just grab other shit 'cause when I tried it while leveling, it seemed like a lot of the DD marks weren't even in melee range when they died. But I don't know shit about Psyker. Mine's like level 35 or something similarly low.

You can snipe specials with the mk5 ripper, same with the kickback and grenadier gauntlet.

No. The two main reasons to dislike it are that Smite makes the game boring because it turns a lot of enemies off and is super spammable. I'm not playing Auric Maelstrom/QP because I want the game to be easy. It's also annoying when retards misuse it and stun every little non-issue 5m away and make you chase after shit just to kill chaff the entire fucking game.

Between the two, there's not much reason to like having someone with Smite on my team. I'd rather struggle and win than win because a teammate used an ability that's stupidly powerful all game long. It feels like it's in a tier of basically being a whitelisted cheat.

honestly the mk5 ripper works perfectly fine at 40m+. At some point the whole specialist killing power becomes dominated by the following questions

>can it penetrate poxwalkers?
mk5 yes
grenade glove no
heavy stubber yes
kickback yes

>can it kill shit at high range?
mk5 yes
grenade glove no (the projectile is hardcapped and explodes mid air)
heavy stubber yes
kickback yes

>can it kill an entire special spawnwave before having to reload?
mk5 yes
grenade glove lol no
heavy stubber yes
kickback lol no

So you're left with the mk5 vs the heavy stubber that actually fits all criteria. At this point you look at swap speed, zoom/brace speed, reload speed, other utility. Also special waves on havoc will be bigger and the mk5 will probably be powercrept by the heavy stubber for that reason which holds 40 shots and can 4 shot most specials on havoc. It also is actually well braceable so it works with steady grip which is a pretty good bonus.

You're losing 2 talent points.
1 for pacemaker, 1 for Reloaded and Ready.
It's either lose 2 talent points or lose 15% of your damage as a lugger.

I already do, and I do it by not toughing the LOOOGGEEEERR side of the tree at all because it is unfettered ass.

Also, if you decide not to use 2 talent points on Reloaded, you're losing 15% of your damage, which means you have to use 15% more ammo on bosses to get the same effect as you had before.
And this goes for both normal and havoc missions
Haven fun being deadweight on your team.

No? The difference in damage is negligible, most of your damage as gunlugger is almost always light 'em up doing insane amounts of burn. Those 15% are imaginary, it's a lot less damage lost in practice, especially against bosses.

I like mobile emplacement for the total 30%-ish DR by going down there, but the left and center trees are obviously better, this was never up for debate. Even if you lose an imaginary amount of damage to the point tax that you can't spend by going heavy hitter, it literally doesn't matter for the situations where you pull out your gun.

PBB is good for light 'em up, you can go full melee build otherwise, and lose basically nothing. The nerfs don't matter. You just don't know how to use achlys.

you're not considering that specials have 1.5x HP on higher havoc ranks.
this means you're going to be shooting two volleys at most specials, 3 volleys at flamers and distant snipers might take 4 sometimes. That's a huge amount of ammo. Havoc also comes with -75% ammo pickups btw.

Not meming or shitposting, after the reveals today I've honestly lost all hype for this patch. I honestly did buy into the hype of new weapons and new mode, only to be extremely disappointed by what I've seen. The Ogryn talent changes and stubbers are the most disappointing of all. If you're just new and want to know how to not suck being new, ask. Post your level and class. Sometimes advice can easily be boiled down to rushing X skill and using Y and Z weapons because they form a complete package that is still good with poorly rolled green weapons that don't have good blessings.

You are not going to survive for shit if you need to dump 3 kickback rounds into a fucking trapper, you just arent. And remember thats one fucking trapper, special waves will come in sizes of something like 14. Even 2 shots is horrid, you're never ever going to fucking actually squelch a special wave before there's 10 specials raping you from their range.

The 5% movement speed doesnt mean much in a vacuum (or at all, really, unless some sort of breakpoint is reached). The ranged damage is ok but its not going to matter much in most cases. Impact blessings barely help reach the current thresholds of importance for most weapons. The increased stagger threshold just punishes stagger weapons further (already paying for their stagger with less damage and mobility by design) and pushing Duelling Swords and Knives as top of the heap, because none of the modifiers take a shit on mobility.

15% of damage for 8 second absolutely doesnt mean youre using 15% less ammo. If you mean dps, than itll only matter for the 8 seconds that RaR is active. 15% damage is equivalent to having an extra bullet per 7, and for the achlys thats 10.75 r/s, so 86 bullets in 8 seconds, and with RaR the equivalent of almost 100 bullets. Yes, the difference there is close to 15% (14.3% actually) but thats just how the math worked out. If we were doing 50% more damage itll be closer to having 30% more bullets in the same duration, for instance. Either way, while RaR is strong in conjunction with PBB its really not going to affect you that much outside of that situation. That said, still not a fan of them making it a tax node.

Literally all Ogryn needs is big numbers. Revert their skill tree if you want, but the important thing is to simply make them do damage. That's it. Clumsy and slow, but any time they hit or shoot something it dies. Everyone who plays ogryn to be big dumb man can be rewarded appropriately for playing as big dumb man. It's not that hard Obesefish. If you really need to nerf them just make them less able to slide under enemy ranged attacks so they need to mind their size.

SOB would be a DLC zealot tree that starts from the same top node but the branch leads to a completely separate parallel tree with at least 2 paths, new abilities and keystones both. SOB would be a more ranged focused zealot with less mobility options but has a bunch of toughness +value and talent nodes to represent the power armor even though its optional. Or maybe its not optional to maintain team readability from a strictly gameplay standpoint.

If it is a separate class along with all other imaginary DLC classes, it needs to be said that there doesn't need to be a 3-wide skill tree for each. It could just be 2 paths to make development simpler.

You cannot go back and replay lesser ranked missions once completed, unless you join someone who has started one.
You can join a higher ranked mission, which will increase your Havoc Clearance Level
Each week your Havoc Clearance Level decreases based on the highest tier level mission you played the previous week.
There is also a weekly reward based on the highest tier mission completed for that week.

I like both, though Wildfire is more optional.
The more stacks you have the better the damage, the faster you stack them the better. Perilous Combustion allows you to stack higher than Inferno's 15-16 stack cap, as elites die, burning out other nearby elites a little faster. Also useful if you're brainbursting some gunner clusters to chew up nearby shooters.
Wildfire has the benefit of adding a few stacks to fresh enemies, letting you stack to lethal amounts faster as spawns keep piling in during a horde or event.

Bolt pistol is really good at sniping specials and elites but you don't want to rely on it too much due to its slow reload and long recovery. Recon las is probably the best everything gun (for all classes really) you can have. Really depends on how you like to play. You don't really have good melee talents until you get to this part of the tree.

Its definitely more of a nerf, but in a way thats more akin to the name changes for weapons - like, ok, but why? If anything ogryn needs more QoL shit like being able to vault over shit and not having that stupid input delay when firing non-achlyss stubbers and also swapping between melee and the launchers. Oh and make light attacks worth a damn on most weapon. The easiest handle anything Ogryn build is a Pickaxe Gunlugger that picks up the toughness on heavy talents and the burning bullets. Melee most of the time then pull out your skill to burn out monsters and elite swarms.
The impact blessing lets your pickaxe knock dreg ragers around easier, but you can ditch it if you want that big grenade

Do you like shooting or swinging? Ogryn builds centre around doing one of these things. There are some minor things you can try branching into but otherwise its fairly straight forward. Usually i start with the question of whether i want to melee or range. Then depending on the answer i pick the weapon i want as my primary choice. Then i lean to one side of the talent tree depending on that choice. When youre more aware of what nodes may be helpful for your playstyle you will learn to give and take. For illustration ill try making a build.

So lets say i want to use the bullyclub mk2 as my primary source of damage, i know ill likely lean more to the left side. I pick the toughness regen nodes for melee, and i might pick up the node for doing more damage against ogryns. From there i choose my grenade, though for efficiency sake id pick either rocks or boxes. After that i have the choice of picking either taunt or charge, and i usually dont pick modifiers for my active until the very end. Now pick your aura, and that could be either the left or middle, depending on preference. For efficiency sake ill likely just go left and maybe slot heavy hitter in. After that use up the remainder talents for whatever you can.

Ogryn build making is general is simple, but one thing to know is that it is NOT a necessity to pick a keystone. In fact, there is nothing wrong with having no keystones. I wont go into detail here since you seem to be fairly new, but just know that eventually youll realise that keystones are never meant to be a necessity.

My other goto build is shield ogryn. Charge or Taunt depending on preference. Paired with a ripper mkV for flexibility.
I also enjoy power maul, but it is not a great weapon and its build is changing in a few hours.

A simple and effective ogryn that relies on very few gimmicks and management would be taunt, rock and feel no pain. For melee you can pick the mk3 bully club or the default latrine shovel, as these have the simplest melee moveset relatively speaking. For ranged you pick the kickback or GL, as these are simple fire and forget weapons. Taunt isnt something that has a long cool down and its always a good time to use a taunt as it has the ability of not only distracting but also debuffing enemies. Finally feel no pain requires little management as it comes back automatically and requires no input for sustaining, and it can help a lot with chip damage.

Its a very easy (and imo boring) build to use that can be helpful for if youve just started as an ogryn

Wildfire doesn't even work how you think it does based on the description; it takes a max of 4 stacks and splits them between all nearby enemies, so if there are 5 enemies near the one that dies with 4 stacks, then only 4 of those 5 enemies will now inherit 1 stack of soulblaze. Also, brittleness on flame staff is not good, it's too small of an amount to really do anything for your burn damage on the only thing it would help with, crushers. Blaze Away and Warp Nexus.

That's pretty bad, you're building your bolter for mag dumping then taking a keystone that compliments precision kills. Several of those talents are also bad. Toughness regen speed is also bad, replace it with combat ability regen to get more shouts.

Probably warp resistance because you only need to throw the ranged attack after building up the meter, meaning your peril will naturally decay between uses.
That being said, defences isn't that impactful so you can safely dump it on all weapons where its an option.

Just watch, ogryn will get nerfed even more after people have played havoc enough.
Even though the only viable ogryn build in havoc is melee ogryn, due to fatshark making all the enemies damage sponges AND on top they are making ammo pick ups worse, either there is 75% less of them, or they lessen the amount of ammo you get by 75%.
AND Fatshark decided to make the bosses even more damage spongy as well at higher level havoc, but they also spawn more of them.
Which just means that gunluggers are even worse and even less wanted because they will just burn through ammo, and it is even less effective.

I don't think it's worth it when I can swap Energy Leakage out for Heatsink and get even more zap-time throughout the entire game. That L3 comes out quick enough.

The single target combo is heavy-heavy-light. That is the chain, it isn't like the other combo that goes light-light-heavy-light-heavy-light-heavy-light-heavy
