Might be a stupid question, but:

At what point to you prioritize having fun and actually winning in BGs over race/faction aesthetics?

I've been playing the game on and off since release and 95% of the time, it was on Alliance.
I love how dwarves look and how well they fit the grumpy warrior archetype, same for night elves with hunters and gnomes with rogues. Maybe that's a very milquetoast vanilla white guy take, but the "human male warrior" thing is not just a meme, I genuinely love playing those characters. Also, I appreciate my "home city" of Stormwind not looking like a post earthquake town in the middle east.

At the same time, I can't stand the constant loss fests in BGs anymore. Alliance simply can't ZERG.
>people literally take wrong turns at the beginning of the round, running into dead ends
>as soon as somebody dies, the entire group retreats like a flock of panicking ducks
>30% of players spend more time companing and whining in /bg chat than actually playing
>even tanks don't want to go in first

I really feel that I might enjoy making a tauren prot warrior and just try and be a battering ram in AV. Tanky, good HP, easily clickable for healers and most of all, a faction behind me that is more likely to just zerg their way through instead of acting like scared morons.

To the horde players who do lots of BG PvP:
Is the grass greener on the other side or is it just more of the same shit? Because I hardly hear whining about alliance groups stomping BGs.

All the time. I will never understand people who prioritize vague external shit like "aesthetics" and shit over actually completing the videogame and the match in a way that's fun. I feel autistic when I say it but it's the truth, I see guys in my guild who complain about this or that spec that "looks cool" but plays like shit and how they wish it was more fun. Why not just play the thing that mechanically plays better and isn't bad if that's the issue? It's a videogame. If I wanted to focus on aesthetics and vibes I'd just look at art or start drawing my own.

enhance. Enhancement has 2 distinct build paths in the talent tree, and up until TWW the easy buttonmashy one was really clunky and kinda broken, but now said build (the stormbringer/stormstrike talents) are much better rounded and actually feel much better to play.

Guys I just realized that at this point, WoD is the halfway point in WoW's history. if the ground mounts are as fast as the flying mounts, its true that it may not be 100% as efficient as flying, but its a lot more bearable than the current difference of like 100% vs 700%, and might be enough that people will use them for fun, especially if the ground mounts get fun mechanics like drifting and boosting.

a good comparison might be the guild wars 2 raptor, you can ride around on the gryphon or the drake and they are faster and better at clearing obstacles, but the raptor is still fun.

the problem with wows current ground mounts is that they are 7x slower AND less fun mechanically. you basically dont ever use them except to show off that you have a rare one, or for RP/mog

Now this is generally unavoidable when it comes to MMOs because perfect balance is impossible. So, the other way to combat this feeling of underperforming is to not care about a negligible loss in DPS and play what you think looks cool. Having a stream of revenue from cosmetics that supports further development of the game that means I get more gameplay for free is fine with me. I just did nexus and utgrade keep, they are probably the worst dungeons to speed run but they have a real dungeon feel.
It's hard to explain and maybe it's just nostalgia but they just feel like real dungeons and not just mythic+ maps.

Enigma Machine turned on (and submit), Rats spawn around the catacombs, separate from the pre-existing 'Catacombs Rats'. Count the Rats, that's your string of puzzle to figure out how many statues go on whichever pressure plate.

I can do the first one... but attempts to do the second one keeps failing. Had an initial fail just forgetting to take the statues off the first plate, but haven't repeated it, still failing. Am I supposed to 'Begin/Submit' again at the machine, or do the Rats spawn/despawn to imply Lock 2/3/4/etc are a different line of solution?
The fuck am I missing here?

BUT the fuckers can get stuck behind a small bone pile right behind the archway next to the Chamber Doors, 1 to 3 of them just pile on top of each other there and can't move. TWW is a depression expansion, everything is gloomy, dark, sad and anxiety-inducing. Incredibly enough, TWW is sadder than Shadowlands, the death-themed expansion... I miss DF, I miss the energetic NPCs, I miss the positive dialogue, I miss the bright colors and lively music.

Hallowfall and Isles of Dorn is very hopeful however, Hallowfall is essentially a white/red mtg deck and Isles of Dorn is a weaker grizzly hills

The biggest problem is Tanaris quests only give 3 tokens weekly, pvp quest, tw dungeon quest, codex and the quest from the npc in the center of the event

If Nublizzard had any brains they would buff all these weekly quests to 10 tokens each and it won't be a headache to reach 100 tokens to unlock unlimited farming for latecomers that are just starting
