Marissa gorilla player here. Fucked around with the buffs. Actually pretty noticable. highlights to me:

>Superman punch range is MUCH better now, heavy is slow but its like 70% of the fucking screen now
>all heavies charge speeds are def noticeably better, not a placebo
>crouch heavy punch buff basically means its still shit at punishing good jumps but VERY good at punishing bad jumps, huge punish counter damage
And the biggest buff imo that the patch notes downplayed:
>the forward heavy kick (knee) buff, still +3 on block, but range is just as far as her fucking haymaker, and ends with you DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THEM, even mid screen, so you could go for tech grabs or whatever the fuck (and its cancellable so no worries for drive impact)
That move is officially a gorilla button

The only change I dont understand:
No fucking idea what this was trying to say about crouching heavy punch being anti-throw now, I fucked around in training mode and I have no idea why id try to throw this out vs someone I think is throwing, I don't get it

i'm torn on if i really like removing oki from ex dps. i hate it but also its my only defense against all the neutral skipping bullshit in this game. i don't wanna perfect parry but i might have to now. some aki or chun shitter can just fireball drive rush for one bar for a guaranteed in but it costs you three to do drive rush cancel and if they fireball drive rushed first (likely) you gotta spend 2 on ex dp first.

You are, but the throw stays active to essentially meaty as soon as you leave prejump.
This doesn't matter if you jump a throw, only if you cancel into a special move from your prejump frames. It's basically a specific gief nerf. Before, he could do a 360, then press for SPD at the end of his prejump frames. This would let him dodge your throw with his prejump frames but remain grounded and throw you.

somewhere down along the line, the executives realized they can milk casuals with battle passes and avatar costumes and don't have to spend much on game balance and actually trying to make the game fun.

Thank God they're giving Ryu a few small buffs. He can get 60% off punish counters now with only 2 super bars and 4 drive bars, I'm hoping for a few more buffs in the next big season patch so we can get those numbers up to at least 65%, or at least letting up hit those big 70% combos with level 3 without having to burn out

Because throw loops are not a big issue until you get out of Diamond. Like I’m not defending them sajam wise, but a good chunk of the playerbase that isn’t casual is master rank. They know the ins and outs of SF6. The top fighters have throw loops, it’s annoying. A precedent was made when SFV got rid of them FOR GOOD. The people whining for their removal have every right to beg for it’s removal, it’s not a fun mechanic. Nobody likes it in 3rd strike, and nobody liked it in Vs early years

cammy nerfs really aren't that bad. luke's crmp nerf was kinda significant because his was like less than 20 frames total. cammy's prepatch crmp is the same as lukes current one. luke was murdered moreso by the damage nerfs. cammy was already whiff punishable and her damage is the same. they made ex divekick point blank not give a sideswitch but they also made it safer so its just a less volatile option.

if you do something like a couple of jabs into charged c.hp, it will punish counter a tech attempt for absurd damage.

don't quote me on the two jabs, but it was something that was possible even in the previous patch. basically charge c.hp after a string that leaves you outside throw range.
iirc it catches both a tech attempt and a neutral jump if they're scared of command grab

Chun is probably one of the few mainly defensive characters in the game. Her, Guile, Ed, Sim, JP. But unlike Guile, Ed, Sim and JP she doesn't really have instant easy bake 50/50s when she's tired of zoning. She can force the issue with fireball drive rush, but hers is definitely one of the weakest in the game. The Chuns that are the biggest pains in the ass are the ones that just walk back and wait to whiff punish you with her sword normals, but that's not hard to play around since walking back puts her in the corner death zone

That's the Valmaster playstyle. Not a big fan of his playstyle becaue like you said you put yourself in the corner and you rely too much on 50/50. And if the opponent is patient and spaces himself well it's very hard to win that playstyle. It's still very strong but not the most effective way to play Chun imo. Moke plays midrange and he is more effective that way, he takes full advantage of Chun's tools at this range and he attacks the drive bar which is more important than health.

Sf6 and tekken 8 have weak competitive scenes. I mean look at all the street fighter players that took mk seriously then left when they realized they were in a pool with big sharks. For instance, Justin wong took mkx seriously then when he got washed and couldn't keep up with players such as perfect legend he left. And we know how perfect legend couldn't even get a game off of sonicfox. Then when tokido tried he ran away due to the competition. When punk tried mk he played against a player called burrito vorhees and then ran away from that game. He also tried mk1 and couldn’t even win a tier 3 tournament with no top players losing to a random kid called Stryker. Street fighter players always settle for mediocrity which is why there is no top player there, just all settling for winning here and there. It’s either that or the game is unga bunga due to drive rush and throw loops. When sonicfox played street fighter 6 he cooked menard in a first to 10. This is how we know spam/grab fighter 6 players just aren’t skilled.

your goal is to pump as much bitrate as possible, within reason
if you have a REALLY short clip, like 1sec long, then you'd set it manually to like 10,000 kbs
but gameplay clips are generally much longer, so you just set it to 4MB and pray

if your clip is too long, then the bitrate will dip too low (like under 2000 kbs)
in this case, you'd just suck it up and render it as a vp9 webm,
because it'll look abysmal as an mp4
