How ironic.
Here's a screenshot I was going to post on /v/ in response to a post implying that Real Gamers would never play a game 8 months after release >>695889635, but the thread archived before I could post it. I guess it's for the best.

thats obvious bait but gaming culture has become super disposable and hype based, not just with the new wave of streamer endorsed games that disappear after a month but when i check the steam achviements for normal completion of newer games you can tell most people barely play stuff for an hour and even most reviews will wax poetic about game design and mechanics with less than 2 hours of play, they just want to be part of the train.

Looks cool, maybe I'll keep playing it.
I know no one asked but switching to Proton 7 did get me past that post-helicopter-fight crash (>>504015446).
Forgot to put the MangoHud back on after pointlessly removing it in the process of previous troubleshooting, but this thread is an imposter of the true /lgg/ so I guess that's appropriate.
Anyway, what the fuck.

Just give me a cutscene so I can skip it. This is possibly the worst trend in semi-modern gaming.

This made the helicopter fight easier than it should have been, by the way. I just locked onto it around corners. The only challenge was knowing when it was safe to run to the ammo crate and wait for the context-sensitive do-everything key to go into open-the-crate mode before pressing it.

It's fun but I really like shooting games and its carried by the unique weapon since otherwise its a below average xbox 360 early gen tps. Kind of funny how its a mix of every big game of that era though, uhhh lets have the sprint from gears of war with the unique weapon from rage with the story from prototype.
