Most cross things need kandarin, eliminate them and kandarin ceases to have a purpose, obviously needs a raid for next league to even be considered as a region. If they put frem relics on kandarin everyone would pick it instead so yes echo rework could do it

AF + Raids region pretty much gives you the strongest dps you can have as t6 ranged, so yeah it'd be ideal for ranged.
If you like those regions content anyway. Not worth chasing dps if you wont enjoy the tasks. t6 ranged will do well with just about any combination of regions really.

Ideally you pick regions with content you want to do to maximize fun, if you dont want to do the gauntlet and shit then don't put yourself through it. Melee at 3 or 4 is going to be quite a bit worse than your ranged, but that's okay for most content this league. The most notable things I can think of is a small part of ToB and CoX where you'd really want a strong melee secondary, but even still it's no big deal.

I hate fremmy, it was hard convincing myself to drop it since it is probably the single biggest dps spike in any region for ranged. But I know I'd burn out quicker if I do things I hate just because of some idealised end goal that might not even come around since we don't even know the drop rates for echo items and going dry on one of the two items is a very real possibility if not both. I'd rather just chill and be happy than seethe and hit harder.

Good for you, what are you choosing instead of fremmy? I kind of like all the fremmy region bosses so I'm happy it happens to be a great region for dps, just hoping the echo items aren't too long of a grind because i'm not a huge fan of dks overall. Just like the main game burnout is a far bigger xp waste than doing less than optimal things, and its just stupid to burnout on something that's meant to be fun.

Varlamore it being new has the most exciting content, and it all still feels sort of new so exploring it with league limitations and buffs will be fun. It has zero things of actual build value though, but with ranged all I really need is asgarnia to have a full build.

Can duo tob and toa and have a fun time with two people with different combat styles.
Tob it'd be best with range/melee, and toa would likely be better with range/mage. Either way though you'll be able to do both raids easily.

Best ranged dps and everything can be solo'd extremely easily, including TOA and Nex.

Alternatively, you could go to Kourend and join in 100 man scaled coxes, you dont need to be friends with anyone in those to run through them. Can also solo cox.

Guardian is by far the best Relic on that tier. Last stand is useless, when you can carry your whole bank of supplies on your inv, and most people going ranged don't even have a spec weapon.

You can solo ToA easily with zero experience or knowledge going in, just watch a five minute guide
CoX can be solo'd if you get a good layout but you're vastly better off joining a mass world or something and leeching a scythe/tbow
ToB requires in-depth knowledge if you're going to solo because so many of the mechanics are WoW-tier body checks

Treasure is hard to really gauge the value of until the tasks are known, but even without it the clue compass can be more than enough.

Slayer master is really good if you're mory, it's okay if you're wildy/zeah for the keys, it's pretty whatever elsewhere.

Production prodigy is good if you hate afk time or if you have the fishing relic or dodgy deals and other afk time competes with it.

Last league I was right about picking farm relic but this leagues doesn't speed up the skill or really do much at all. Pocket kingdom is also weak as shit. You can buy infinite fish and coal. The teak you need to cut for 99 teak all get used for 99 con. The wood you need to get from misc for 99 fm without zeah can be got in a timely manner without kingdom, like 5 days of 10 maple/5 teak do it with manual burn or 18 days with bonfire. Forager gives you more herbs and it also gives you exactly the herbs you want

I'd say grab Desert or Zeah so you can try a raid out, they're much easier with league DPS. Deserts raid is easier but Zeah is a better region overall imo. Idk if any anons are going Zeah but I know a few posted about going Desert.. Most of the relics are also very similar in strength, just make sure you think about what your region has to offer, don't pick overgrown for example if you wind up with like 1 herb patch somehow and expect that to cover your herblore needs vs Forager or Pocket Kingdom.

DPS as a term is as old as time itself. It's always just runescape that weirdly has its own terms for everything. PvM instead of PvE, PKing instead of PvP, etc.
You can definitely see the sweaty spreadsheet culture you'd see in high level raiding in games like WoW bleed over into this game more.

Depending on your regions, it's pretty easy to fish for Wildy slayer tasks with all the skips you have. All the Slayer Master relic really gives you is the ability to burst for Larran's keys whenever you want. Last League I took Wildy and I had more than enough keys to get Dagon'hai and more than enough supplies (pure essence, seeds, coal, bars and ore) from the chest just by blocking bad tasks. The game just shat out greater nechyreal and abyssal demon tasks, with the occasional ankou, black demon (Kandarin), or bandit task (Desert) that wasn't as good, but still dropped keys. The slayer relic also doesn't boost superiors this time, which would give you many more keys.

This is being said a lot, but you shouldn't underestimate how easy it is to just block or skip everything you don't want to do with the slayer point multiplier. You can be on-task whenever you want after a certain point.

I feel like Production Master is better for Wildy anyway because the region just shits out resources that you need to process: coal, logs, gems, herbs, secondaries, etc.

Deathpiles are tied to your character save, so outside of bugs, there really shouldn't be any risk.
I just don't want to risk hundreds of hours of account progression on me remembering the exact state of my account weeks later, as unlikely as I'd be to fuck it up. "Let me just suicide to get something out of my looting bag, oh fuck, there was stuff in hespori".
