Probably going to spade the F-15E and Su-34. Right now I'm goofing off and shooting down planes with anti-tank missiles with the Su-24. 1xKh29, 4xKh25. I can get two more launches if I replace two of the Kh25s with the double rack of S-25LD's, but I feel like the S-25LD's don't have enough range.

I'll agree with just playing some lower tier games for fun from time to time. I got that goofy T55E1 in the battle pass and playing it has been some of the most actual fun I've had in months. I've got a few nations at 9.3 now and yes, the grind is pretty wild even with premium. It's not even the "grind" itself but the fact it takes weeks to even get a lineup. I'm working with like 2 vehicles because almost all of my older stuff is just completely outclassed. I straight up quit grinding USA ground outside of the moon rover I mentioned because I'm in that desolate wasteland that is 7.0-wherever the fuck it gets good again.

Whats the consensus on this thing. I had it in world of tanks many many years ago and grinded it then for no other reason than I thought it looked cool. Worked well in WoT but ive never heard anyone talk about it in WT and I dont think I've ever actually seen one for whatever reason. I imagine with all the heat ammo and early ATGM's it's pretty bad

Yes, you don't really want to get in 9.7 territory if you don't know what you're doing and the 8.3 line up is great on it's own.

Depends on how committed you are to 8.7, using APFSDS instead of HEAT or APDS makes life easier, ERA will increase your survivability even if it doesn't stop the projectile as it reduces spalling and lowers the chance of ammo catching fire even against kinetic projectiles. Still that alone isn't good enough to go up but if you take the A-4B with bullpups and the UH-1B/C with TOWs/AGM-22s along with you then I'd say it's worth it.

It has a few achilles heel weak points that IMO are a bit too easy to hit in game that would be extremely impractical to hit IRL. All heavy tanks would be 100x more viable if gaijin were to remove the whole "gun sight is inside the barrel" thing and forced tanks to use realistic gun sights, which would introduce parallax that would matter when trying to snipe grapefruit sized weak points.

R73 are shit compared to the Aim9M but still they can be a problem if you let them become one.
Preflaring works beautifully, dunno why you are having problem with that. Those missles become extremly lethal under 1km in rear-aspect, because their IRCCM is basically a very very narrow FOV. You need to just put a single flare in this extremly narrow FOV. Doing a "flower" with your flares before the missle comes to 1.5 - 1.0 km will defeat it. Side aspect\Front aspect they are a joke to flare

The 141 would be so much better if it were given its missing missiles. It doesn't have the payload capacity to play the BVR missile slinging game. Isn't it because the configuration that has been implemented in game has features never existed on the built prototypes, but were only "planned", even if we excuse amament and other systems being present as inert wooden mockups / weight simulators?

Also if we're going that way with things I have no idea why the AIM-9M (which is underperforming in both lock on range, and is missing the "Push ahead" function of it's IRCCM) was added as the R-73 counterpart in place of the AIM-95, which would have been far closer.

Also you get dumb stuff like the F-15E only having access to "Long Chord" GBU-15s so Missiles can't also be carried on the wing stations.

Or the A-10C having access to the LITENING instead of the SNIPER-XR, so can't carry dual LA-88s with a TGP, because the images we have of said configuration only show inert missiles.

Or the F-14B(U)'s TCS being non functional / missing "SparrowHawk" HUD.

It's at a bad BR where you need to uptier it to have any lineup at all. Meanwhile you can just buy the T-80U-E1 and get functionally the same vehicle with faster turret traverse, noticeably better ATGM, Thermals, and marginally better ERA coverage on the turret.

both 73s got into the no-return zone where you can't flare them but even then I managed to flare and outmaneouver them
also flared the 9M, though I think cloud cover helped a bit
as for the 7M, was lucky to see it launched and managed to turn around quickly enough to notch
can't wait til the missile evasion award becomes something useful
the Su-27 (13.0) is a bit more flyable after the instructor fixes, though I really need to get expert crew already

In that respect they're retarded. The only use case that I can see for the GBU-39 for ground battles is perhaps completely saturating a spawn point with one drop because spaggots won't move beyond 5 meters of spawn and they're soft enough to actually die to a small bomb scoring a near miss.

i use these tanks to farm the ground events. If i can get 7000 mission score reliably with a sherman, and half of that with a KV1 or a USSR lineup, sherman > KV1 or T34 in the current meta.
