Sorry not sorry but Halo 5 is objectively better than Infinite in terms of basic Multiplayer and customs. It's only disliked and shunned because it's horrible trash campaign. Halo Infinite has not created any actually unique or fun forge custom worth a damn. It's only real advantage is having NPCs in forge
Halo 5 had night of the mantis, survive the Underground, jenga city. Super fiesta. Vehicle fiesta and more.

Someone should make a mod that adds Cortana Cheerleaders to the multiplayer maps, Red (Or maybe Purple) Cortanas for Red Team and Blue Cortanas for Blue Team. You can put them just outside the boundaries of certain maps near the team bases and have them do cute animations like jumping and waving their cheerleader pom poms, doing fist pumps at the air, shouting in support, and clapping. They're holograms so they wouldn't be affected by getting shot at or the player trying to reach them. It would help boost morale both for the winning and losing team to see someone supporting them. Just a thought.

Maybe it can be saved it gets some Sonic the Hedgehog-tier fan games/mods. Sega lets them live but they also view some of those as healthy competition, maybe the same can happen if Halo Studios allows the same thing.

The fact they reformed 343 into something new with largely the same mission statement and people really gives no confidence that they just won't shut down HS in 5 years and fold them all in MS proper. Wasn't ElDewRito pretty much 'stolen'? I think if a dev team created its own assets from scratch it would probably be fine. they haven't cease and desisted that ODST Flood fangame despite it being announced and shown off. They support the modding community on MCC so I don't think fangames would be an issue. There might have been legal issues and stuff with ElDewRito since it wasn't approved by MS.

I have a lot of gripes with Reach but I liked how that did them. Spartan v Spartan in regular matches but custom games can play whatever, as well as doing Spartan v Elite game modes.

putting game-play gripes aside, infinite is fucking ugly and boring to look at from a visual design perspective. Everything looks like rubber and appears so soulless and unappealing. CE, 2, 3, and Reach all had their own special charm and all had varying degrees of sovl but infinite just looks like the flattest bullshit ever. Granted I do have beef with reach for having a "gritty and 'mature' " brown n' bloom visual look, but at least reach had some texture and detail to it.

Scale back the scope of the game
No open world slop and just back to a linear campaign with a few open sections
Have more variety in locations than some shitty woods and red towers everywhere

Remove sprint and all the retarded 343 additions
Only thing i'll probably keep is the grapple hook, but revamp it into a weapon like a forerunner gun grapple beam like the monitors use

Wait I'm barely getting into pc too. Is controller on computer a highly suggested thing to do or is it simply preference? I'm getting controller since it feels the most natural with it but I assumed mouse and keyboard is better on the long run.

Halo games basically play themselves with the amount of autoaim they have, and mouse players get none of that assistance. There's basically no reason not to use a controller. Otherwise you need to land the equivalent of 4-5 sniper shots on every single player while they're allowed to be lazy.

Yeah that makes sense. If the game is new and is on both consoles and PC, then that'd be a different story but I understand why the controller takes priority. Having said that, I've used mouse and keyboard when doing parkour maps because holy shit those maps are impossible with controller inputs.

I had no expectations for the E3 mission because we've already seen it and how heavily scripted it is. Alpha Moon is just really boring because Heretics aren't very interesting to fight. It's only a single rank of Elites and Grunts, and there's only 4 weapons in the entire level. They didn't even have the decency of using some Needler enemies.

I hate how pro fags have basically taken out any possible elements of randomness in several weapons. Every weapon in Halo Infinite is a laser, which means bullets and projectiles basically always land in a small circle. Even automatic weapons and the "shotgun" do this.
Fuck off the warthog MG should have some bullet spread. The shotgun shouldn't have a spread tighter than a rifle. Also yes the BR spread should be a little more random. Why have a burst fire rifle if it's just going to act like a single shot.

That's the issue with most games focusing on the pro scene and streamers. They remove all of the fun/interesting aspects of any game until they're just bland and boring.

I think the most egregious game is Super Smash where they remove literally the entire point of the game.
