I'm still unsure what to roll bros. Last fresh I made a hunter raided mc with it then rerolled rogue. still raided some bwl aq40 with the hunter but mained rogue. I'm between these classes

Just because there's barely any locks on alliance doesn't mean they're overpopulated on the horde. You're still a relatively small fish in a sea of warriors, mages, rogues and hunters. You can still get a raid spot pretty easy, as long as you can stomach managing soul sharts.

Rogue is the most overrated class in classic. The biggest benefit is stealth which is really good, but if you dont likoe the stealth class fantasy dont bother.

I assume you are asking because you are thinking of going rogue. Rogues DPS in 5 mans while leveling is so good groups would take 2-3 of them to dungeons if they understood how much more dps it was but they often dont, sometimes a tank will even avoid rogues to not compete with certain gear, but if im making a group and there arent any BoE leather drops in the dungeon i always get a second rogue if i can (unless its an aoe heavy dungeon). if not doing some AoE group cheese and not worried about drops id take only warriors/rogues if i could.

They are pretty good at farming locations on PvP server. they will be even better on the fresh servers because of duel spec, PvP spec sucks for farming, combat is good for farming, but you can switch between PvP and farm spec to make it so those hybrids really cant farm in the locations you want, hybrids will be wishing you were combat and them healing spec when they try and farm your spots.

Then you have class unique farms that are more fun than other classes, like stealthing through BRD and killing bosses/ doing vaults, or stealthing through other dungeons and getting chests, resource nodes.

It is by far the worst class, nobody wants you in dungeons, your PvP is incredibly autistic, you'll go OOM in seconds, Feral and balance aren't viable, Feral tanking requires you to farm fucking Gnomeragan for dozens of hours before raid, Resto is dogshit compared to priest, can't dispel magic, shit CC, just an awful class all around.

Do NOT roll one. You WILL regret it. Warrior, Rogue, Mage and Priest are the godclasses of Vanilla, go those instead if you favor your sanity and want to have a good time!!

OCE servers always end up a fucking ghost town after like 3-6 months.

Yeah but this is hardcore. A PVP server is not a step up in challenge or anything. Hardcore is the most challenging, then PVP, then PVE. The rules of transfer should follow that hierarchy.

If this is your concern (and it's real but I will say I did like 150 dungeons on hc 1-60 and up to 50 on 5 characters, 1-35 on 7, and I saw TWO deaths in dungeons both to archmage arugal when tank got mcd and the guys just didn't Los a single void bolt and died) play rogue or hunter and you will ALWAYS survive a group wipe. Play mage and not only can you easily run out but you can often save everyone else with good play.

Probably the new hc playerbase will suck and be very hazardous in dungeons but most hc players are good. I've seen the gong in rfd accidentally get rang during a big pull twice and both times multiple players dropped dummies and mage used nova correctly and everyone swiftnessed out and laughed after. Same deal with every other potential bad hc outcome. People clutch it out more than you'd think if your only exposure to hc was the bad players who constantly die in the clips
>library is dangerous, the monks hit hard and everything runs causing overpulls
>when I play my warlock I put rek on every humanoid before it runs
Stuff like this and you just won't see your group wiping, the stuff that kills people is very predictable and even one cognizant player can avoid it

I'll start with elemental precision because it's always useful, then I'll improvise depending on how crazy the population is, and whether or not I can get ahead of the pack.

that level of PvP doesnt typically happen unless its stv or hillsbrad during peak hours. I typically get ganked like once or twice per zone of leveling on a pvp server, except for those 2 zones which are hotbeds for pvp. shimmering flats can also suck if alliance and alone.

priest is A tier imo. pretty much never have to drink and can handle 3 yellow mobs at once pretty easily most of the time if they need to. tons of survival tools and also really good at 1v1 PVP.
also, any class that can heal or tank gets tons of points for being able to consistently get instance groups easily if they want to
