it's a fun question, so i have some ideas

you'd be transferred to a different high school. this much is the same.
then you use your powers to blackmail the principle into saying your attendance and grades are perfect. you meet the cat in this process
then you spend your time

>breaking into the minds of mad scientists researching some unholy union between personas and technology
>navigating the insane horrorscape of some blood ritual religion bridging our world with other planes and creating hideous personas
viz. not intervening means you just do other cool things. genuinely interesting things related to the world building and which empower the character.

instead we get dragged along by a whore and a cripple into some revenge plot against a guy you have no beef with and whose entire relevance drops to zero by walking 5 ft outside the school building.

This is why I mentioned different territory, there's too much you could do for an alternate and better* P5 and I wouldn't want to drag all my fanfiction through /pg/, and there's no practicality involved because if you were to have that on top of what P5 is it'd be a development nightmare and on a simpler level P5 already is what P5 already is
It is fun for sure though, maybe P6 will be a little more like that
