Nightmare critters were probably just part of those "great plans" playtime co had for the smiling critters that were mentioned in the orientation notebook last summer. That's also prpbably why they seem so cheap and rushed, not to mention that college students were part of their main audience, so them trying to appeal to older demographics with the NC makes sense. Yarnaby is connected to Sawyer, so the more we know about him, the more we know about Yarnaby. >>502775350 has the best explaination for the lack of pianosaurus information atm. Also Sawyer's probably gonna be another big bad like the prototype it seems, so learning about him is more important than learning about the toys in this chapter imho.

I don't think Yarnaby is smart enough for that one. Generally, Quinn was REMOVING the heads of toys, not stitching them back together.

I think with all the emphasis he's getting, we're actually going to see Sawyer this Chapter and need to fight him. I feel like it's a red herring to make us assume he's the real evil, like they want us to forget we're also tackling a murderous giant zombie cyborg

We don't actually know if the Prototype is evil though. Hell, the one time we hear him talk is during a conversation about why he's being tortured. Meanwhile Sawyer is killing orphans for his own ambitions.

Sawyer and the Prototype both share the role. Sawyer for creating the BBs and causing all this in the first place, and the Prototype for being the reason why the HoJ happened and why everything is even more of a nightmare nowadays.
