to a lesser extent but still problematic is that they let the community think for them as developers and dictate what and who should be able to get glad by drastically undertuning or overtuning the mmr curve season to season based on player outcry
imagine you got glad in an easy season like sls2 or bfa s4 and the next season you que up and you're struggling to hit duelist
why the fuck would you want to keep playing? you havent gotten any worse but the rewards are out of your reach

theres no incentive to que for 3s if you're not a pvp main which further drives the mmr issue, a rising tide raises all ships so to speak, if pvp gear was even halfway relevant for pve it would solve some of this issue

the game is unironically really deep which turns people off super fast, im talking starcraft levels of game knowledge, maybe more honestly even if its far less mechanically challenging

theres no way to log on and press play, which is why we got solo shuffle in the first place, mythic plus is experiencing similiar woes currently, have you seen anyone crying about taking hours to get into a mythic dungeon group itt or anywhere else? ya, multiply that by a factor of 3 at least and thats what arena players have been dealing with for at least 3 years

ideally you want to clear up to 8 so you can get hero gear in the weekly vault. also tier unlocks are account wide, so you can jump into higher tiers on your alts if you wish to
then m+, and try to get aotc (raid clear on heroic, should be easier now with the severed strands buff).

You can solo delves all the way to +11. I don't think many people are still grouping up for them.

If you want to gear up as much as possible, aim for Mythic raid (this requires an organized guild) and M+10 keys.
Otherwise your goal can be whatever you want. PVP, go for mounts, go for all achievements, max out renowns, level up alts, roleplay. Most players aim for AOTC (beat all raid bosses on Heroic) and 2500 rio (do every key on +10) and then just retire and do casual shit or play other games for the rest of the season.

judgement debuffs didn't stack so you had to combo more with your spenders instead of mashing judgement on cooldown and wings wasn't baked into ashes so you had to think a little bit about if you wanted to hold the cooldown

i suggest you reroll to arms warrior or ret paladin and learn the game
arms is better but rets safer
after you've rerolled i suggest you ask itt for addons and basic game knowledge which i can provide now or later
at minimum if you want to keep pursuing marks, bm is far better, its not even close btw - you need to learn about diminishing returns and set up your ui in such a way that you can keep track of your team mates which will help you with decision making regarding when to use your defensives

This new group is apparently a wayward expedition of yet another splinter that broke off like lordaeron and stormwind, presumably headed to another landmass, and established an empire there led by some emperor who would be a new character.

So a mix of new shit and old human kingdom origin lore. I'm sure I'm remembering some of that a little wrong or incompletely, but that's the just of it. The reason they are mixed humans, elves and half elves goes back to the arsthi alliance thousands of years ago, which has been in the games lore forever
