>>502748856You would beat me to every herb and mine node on your flying. I can't even punish you in pvp because if you drop combat for a second you're gone. Had you dropped combat and mounted there's a chance I sheep you, nade you, slow you, root you etc. If my guild and I tag a world boss, you can literally wait overhead perfect view immune. Had you waited off on your ground mounts you may have been harassed by other members of my group or other members of my faction preventing you. I could probably go on and on.
>>502749015>Mage portalstake you to your city, a place where everyone somewhat disengages with the world, may as well be resting at innkeeper in a classic rpg.
>warlock summonsyup, requires a team too, it can be interrupted in the world as well.
Neither of these are good examples, if anything, they go against the point you're making. These are two classes with very notable and unique abilities in an online world. They're sought after for these purposes alone, they're even part of the economy. As WoW progresses both portals and warlock summons become less relevant.
At worst you could say dual spec allows people to change specs without going to the city to spend 50g and do a lot of traveling back, which would have you traveling the world in quite a vast manner. But we all know the reality of that, the group just falls apart before I even make it back from SW to Zul'Farrak. I'd say dual spec is not only convenient, but it actually takes away some punishment. There's so often a lack of healers. People don't want to constantly travel to a city/spend gold to re-spec, add in all the points and change their bars to solo farm/level/quest in the world so they just don't log in. Doing this as a healer spec is miserable.
