He wants to wear plate armor like a warrior and wield a big two-hander. He wants to be able to heal like a priest. He wants to have spells like a mage. He wants to have the cooldowns of a rogue. He wants to be the best tank, the best healer, the best support AND the best DPS.
Add in the incredibly cringe roleplay that a lot of human male paladins tend to have which basically encompasses that they are "Righteous" and "Virtuous", while actually being the biggest pieces of shit in game needing on literally everyone their loot, refusing to use their cooldowns properly, refusing to buff, throwing a melty over the smallest issue and you can see where the stigma of the human male retardin comes from.
Me personally if I play a Horde Spriest or Warlock I make sure to always kill at least one of them in the plaguelands. I won't hit level 60 before I've done my duty, a small sacrifice to the Scourge and for the good of the Realm.
