I'm ok with it I guess we all have to learn, I've got to the top of two trees and I'm so done with the gameplay there, partly because it's bad and partly because the grind is so immense I'm burned out, for me it's just ranks 1-6 on ground from here on. If you haven't gotten to the top of a tree before a lot of people think it's going to be some magical experience and being part of some special club but the reality is pretty disappointing.

This specifically is not possible. The rounds seem to be spawning at the end of the barrel at their initial velocity WITHOUT the plane's velocity added to that, which is utter nonsense. >>502315042 is semi-right but it won't look like it does in the video, you'll have to keep flying straight for a while for the rounds to decelerate to below your speed, then keep flying some more until you catch up and shoot yourself down. That's what happened in that one F11F accident.

5.3-7.7 germany is a fucking shit show, literally the dumbest teammates you can possibly have and you're kneecapped by having a bunch of meme-shit premiums on your team that leave after one death.
playing the hellcat well requires a lot of map knowledge. I usually just push up to a little before the 1/3rd-ish area of the map and start scouting. from there just pay attention to who has been killed and where, try to sneak into other spots to get side shots on tanks, don't engage otherwise unless you know what you're firing at and are sure you can pen and hit its weak spots

Yeah the point at which everyone has STAB, APFSDS, and LRM kind of levels the playing field harder than a lot of other uptiers/downtiers at lower BRs the only difference is CAS that is literally immune to you assuming your team doesn't spawn adequate SPAA which they rarely do. (I am guilty of this as well)

I did the math once, as of like two years ago I had spent like $6,500 on this game over the 10 years I've been playing.
I skipped several trees entirely, I have 100+ premiums. I made really good money and I didnt want to have to spend my spare time suffering through shitty vehicle after shitty vehicle.
I don't spend nearly as much anymore because I have almost every single vehicle in the game. I sometimes buy the battlepass but mostly just buy premium time

They do appear to be much better at punching through large, solid mechanical systems inside tanks than they should be though. During one of the Gulf Wars a Scimitar (or Scorpion) was accidentally shot at frontally by an M1 firing APFSDS and the tank's gearbox ate the round with virtually no injuries to the crew, whereas in-game that kind of round will pass straight through a gearbox like it's not even there.

It's my favorite plane to fly in air sim. I sometimes just chill near static ground targets and bomb them one by one with the small bombs, if there are no ground targets, I just base bomb instead, because I can carry 4 incendiary bombs at the same time, each one kills a base.
In a single run, it can kill 9 bases (1 base = 5x50kgs or 1 incendiary)

Probably the only bomber I have aced.

In War Thunder even very very early APFSDS will go straight through multiple large, dense mechanical systems and then out the back of the vehicle. I looked at the Striker (same chassis as in the above incident) and every APFSDS round I tried went straight through the transmission lengthways and then through the engine and out the side of the tank no problem, even very primitive ones with ~300mm of penetration.

Not meta, but killing ground targets uncontested is very relaxing once you get the hang of it.

It's a shame there aren't any water-based maps with harbors acting as water-based airfields closer to points of interests.
That would give floatplanes at least one niche (spawning or reloading closer to the objective).

We already have carriers, but they usually just sit on your side of the map and I've managed to land a Me 264 on one of the carriers, so floatplanes have no real advantage in that regard.

Overall the 2nd best fox-1. The only "problems" with it are problems present with all of the other fox-1s.

The 27ER is the only fox-1 that is straight up better than you. The 27R is overall worse because it's comparatively slow, but notably it's inertial guidance and data link make it easier to tard wrangle than any other family of fox-1s in the game in situations where you are likely to lose lock. The r-24R is overall worse than the 7F, but it does accelerate faster off the rail. The 7f overtakes the 24R in speed for medium range attacks since the 24's motor burns out so much faster.

It gets better once you get past rank 1. Biplanes are really painfully slow to play on most maps.

The issue with air for me is how frustrating it is. If you are pilot sniped, thats it. The match is over for you unless you are coaching a friend. There is no respawns or second chances. So it is extremely frustrating for a new player or just inexperienced veteran player to play.

I stick to ground because I can't get past how irritated I get after a few matches. Even with the hacker issues that ground has, I still find it less frustrating than air.

There's a lot of seething about the teamkills ban, a lot of chinkoids and muttoids base-runners are crying like hell, but i must admit, i don't know how it works. I didn't get even a warning, but i can recall 4 teamkills i did this month, 3 because missle went fucking ass, and the last one i actually hunted a teammate that shot down another teammate. This system *should* not punish accidental teamkills, because if that was the case it would be extremly retarded (just shutdown teamkills at that point). Anyone knows how it works?

I am going to actively try to get my self team killed in air battles since the system seems automatic I assume it will auto-ban someone after they meet a threshold for team kills in a week or something. Just to prove a point to Gaijin that this system is stupid and very easy to exploit.

Some of my friends said their main source of team kills came from missiles locking onto the wrong people or blue enemies driving to called bomb targets for the Fab5000 or Tall Boy after they called it out.
And I mean it is really unfair in the latter when you don't know if someone can read your warning that you are going to drop a big fucking bomb in that area. Gaijin has put Chinese players in with the rest of the world so language barrier problems are likely a part of the issue.

This vehicle is actually really good, bought it during the sale and was worried it might be shit but it works well with the matchmaker it gets, at 8.0 you get some uptiers but it's mainly down. Only real issue is when your ready rack is empty and you only have 2 crew members left in which case you may as well J out.

They "work", but gaijin giganerfed gunners years ago. They haven't been able to hit the broad side of a barn since ~2016 or 2017. Too many retards were just sitting on the tail of B-29s, Tu-4s, and to a lesser extend the BV-238. It wasn't as bad as trying to fly near current day cruisers in naval battles, but it was maybe 30-40% of that. The tears were extreme and gaijin giganerfed AI gunners as a result.

So those crew skills are buffing gunner performance. It's just that the baseline value is so damn low that you're practically multiplying zero.

Russian vehicles can be dealt with. They're just a mild annoyance. I rarely see Chinese vehicles but they're average. 99% of my matches are just majority german stacked enemy teams and it's fucking annoying.
