My predictions in green

>3 Ascendencies for all classes in EA that really define your build beyond just a buff i want visual changes to skills and the player
ascendencies have been confirmed to have skills in the PoE discord, multiple acsendencies artwork shows they are all very different from one another
>really fun insane skill gems not shown for each classes that combos regardless of the class you use and scale into insanty in endgame that visually change also
Witch turns into a scourge succubus, ascendencies have been confirmed to have skills in the PoE discord

I don't think you'll get 3 ascends in each class. They haven't shown much at all. I'd be surprised if you get 50% of the ascends. In fact i'd be surprised if you get all the characters.

Yeah, I am not really sure what I can do to raise it up. I am using a Blizzard Crown so I don't wanna enchant over it, but I could get 6% reduction via conversion there... but that feels like it is. I'd be happy to take any suggestions to raise it because that is definitely what I wanna do. My current plan is to work towards a Melding of the Flesh set up, still not really great for phys though.

Those types of mechanics cause a lot of stress, not that stress/tension is inherently a bad thing. but you're spending a lot of time focusing on timings for things. If there are options for players to ignore the mechanics then it should be fine. But if its a mandatory thing and youll need to focus on your roll timing on a summoner or someshit then the type of people who dont care about it are gonna be annoyed maybe. guardian has 20% of hits go to big fire summon, can combo that with 10% to spectres on jinxed juju and 15% of melee hits to stone golem of safeguarding but that's all hits and no dot. I don't think there's any way to transfer dot damage.
Guardian also gives you free high level hatred, anger and wrath which I would say counts towards your "rolling automated offensive auras"

Was a thing in Warhammer Age of Reckoning. Chosen was the chaos "paladin" and you could keep multiple auras stacked on enemies by cycling between them. Auras had a linger time you could boost which meant you could essentially pay the mana for 1 aura and keep all your enemies afflicted with 3 or 4 at any given time.

sadly i don't see anyone truly excited to grind for 10k hours in rollslop soulslike style
their design decisions also imply one thing:
you can't get reasonably strong, tanky or automated on the same level you could in poe1 because it would invalidate all the intricate designs they did from the ground up, and they said multiple times that they will not make the poe1 mistakes of "power creep" (fucking buzzword)
"You WILL stay engaged" is just a nicer way of saying "Everything WILL kill you if you don't actively watch out"
combos will be required and it's just generator/spender in disguise
hell, even minions are just a skin with added disadvantages: most minions need an "attack order" to use their attacks, so you'll just be clicking like with a bow anyway

oh right well unfortunately the only things you could call offensive auras that are debuffs would be blashpemy support applied curses, the good news is you can do that with Profane Proxy ring for any curse you like to make it come from a minion, or just put it on yourself and lift your curse limit to apply as many as you like. There is Pride aura which is only for phys builds which aren't the best for minions, it's too expensive on reservation desu.
The 3 I mentioned before are offensive but they're just damage buffs for you and your minions.

You don't need specifically Faun's and specifically Citrine, you can get the stats from Citrine on the tree (the +30 nodes) if you're missing them, and Faun's just gives extra flat damage but you can really use any wand you like and not fail horribly. You don't need to items in the guide 100%, particularly in the campaign, you replace all that really quickly.
Your chief problem are resistances. Try to craft resistances on your gear using the bench, to get the elemental ones to 75% or as close as possible.
On gear pieces where you can't craft resists, if they don't give a bunch of resists+other valuable stats already (life, attributes you're missing), try to replace those pieces by buying a base from a vendor or finding one, and then using orbs of alchemy or other currency on it, to create an item with more resistances or at least with an empty suffix so you can craft res on.

Progenesis also causes the dark red health bar. Pathfinder's Master Surgeon makes your flasks stay on at full life (like eternal mana flasks). Petrified Blood and Master Surgeon is an extremely strong combo because you basically are getting a mini progenesis and then you just combine it with an actual one and you get that webm.

Looking at the trailer for next week again, that Breach hand thing? That's not a fight, that's the Monk GETTING his ascendancy. They've said quite a few times, you'll have something specific to do to gain each ascendancy. Instead of having to create 36 new separate missions, they will absolutely embed them into the content they're happy to bring forward, breach being one we absolutely know is in or at least is heavily referenced lore wise. To get that Monk ascendancy, clear this Breach event type thing.
The Beidat looking Witch tranny form ascendancy? You have to do a little sanctum like run or beat a beyond zone/power up a Beidat altar to ascend to that.
The Mystic Archer for Ranger? Do this mission for the Wildwood guardian lady with the sword.
Affliction league was the test for our tolerance on getting the ascendancies in different ways instead of everyone doing the same thing and just chosing at the end, even the method of enhancing each ascendancy to get the remainder of the 8 points.
Druid could go to some Bestiary boss ritual or hunt/commune with the first ones, the Merc witch hunter may well be something new altogether, Marauder ascendancy with the Haku mission thingies on your back could be a TOTA themed mission.

It dips into the 40s when I use this stupid MTX that does a big sword slash with particle effects when I kill a unique and if I kill like 5-6 of the mat the same time it will dip. If I turn that off even in really juiced, really intense content I stay at 100 FPS at least.

The x3d series blows intel out of the water for gaming, it is not even close. Even the 5800x3D still gives intel a run for its money and it is like two generations behind now. The upcoming 9800x3d has been reviewed to be insane.
Basically the x3D CPUs are built for gaming. They have extra cache that gaming can utilize. However, they're generally worse at performing tasks like rendering, software, etc. If you primarily game then they're THE CPUs to get. Not even a fanboy of some billion dollar corpo because I use to be an intel guy but swapped with the 5800x3D and got the 7800x3D as soon as I could and it has done well in every game I've thrown at it, even Dragon's Dogma II that is notoriously CPU heavy.

I don't think the ascendancy is necessarily a main story beat, it's not like it is in PoE1, it's effectively a side mission. No reason it wouldn't be treated like that in PoE2 which is to say, you COULD finish the campaign without it, but you absolutely will enjoy it more if you do divert to get the power up.

No I think each ascendancy will have its own set of missions for each pair of points just like in Affliction league, which I bet is part of the reason they're not going to have more than 1 or 2 per class in EA. Whether any given ascendancy has a transformation or not doesn't really factor into it other than the flavour of the missions, that is, who gives you the transformation.

and I have to say
the fucking hilarity in g1 when people started realising bosses would actually be a challenge from the very first zone had me creasing
especially when people got to praetor during the cemetary part of act 1
its going to filter so many people from the start. its going to expose all of the mongs. its going to cause so much salt you will never want to turn g1 off
the bosses are easy btw
just don't facetank them
stay in the background, figure out their phases and telegraphing, then hit them when there are openings and dodge when they get too close
its fun as fuck and keeps you on your feet but will definitely filter a lot of people
every boss is on par with a pinnacle boss in poe1 now

They're per map/zone, and they change every hour. There's a tracker somewhere, google it.
You want either the "tumbling wealth" (for chaos/exalts/vaals) or you wanna look for mobs have chance to drop divine orbs. There are slightly more details to it (like rolling "area is inhabited by X" on a map) to enhance it but I don't know all of it.

Alk didn't actually die that much, but it sounds like you want to do enough damage that mobs get deleted and never get time to deal damage: hence the need for dealing damage with one single skill.
but PoE1 being so much about that just meant that there was no real potential for gameplay diversity: just a range of skills that all delete monsters in one hit. but if everything is getting deleted in one hit there's no real difference between different types of monster either.
you don't have to like it, but I assume you understand why a game developer would want the variety they try to put into the game to not be completely flattened out by high damage numbers.

in contrast, you only one-shot monsters while levelling in PoE2 if you find a great weapon, but combos means you can still deal with packs quickly in exchange for pressing more buttons.

Unless you're getting a shit load of flat from somewhere, you're going to feel a shitty weapon if you have one the second you run into an even moderately tanky rare. Just look at any melee character in Ruthless/watch Alk play ruthless. You'll notice he's either using something overtuned to shit (boneshatter) or being forced to use 4-5 casts of something on a rare (PoE2 gameplay)

On the one hand, it's great that they're putting a lot of effort into each weapon to make it feel unique. I think moving a lot of the attacks they have into mace makes a lot of sense and given there's already quite a few attacks that you cna add just by having a shield, I can only imagine how big the lineup and distinct the playstyle for each weapon type will be.

Big Craft changes:

- Scouring Orb gone
- Alteration Orb gone
- Chaos Orb changed to "add a mod, remove a mod"
- Orb of Alchemy will make an item always either 4 mods so you can slam and benchcraft one ond

There is simply no way to reroll a full item until you get a mod, either in magic state or in rare state
Metamods are gone

Basically you find an item and it either is good or you get to roll once or twice, and then toss the item
Beastcrafts are most likely gone

i never interacted with lategame crafting like metamod blocking or beastcrafting (outside getting suffixes on flasks at league start) so the changes wont directly affect me too much

I know ggg nerfs builds in poe1 not because they are too strong, but because they are too popular. But poo2 is all about suffering, not having fun and "interacting" with the content they made for you to suffer in, not trivializing it. There have been multiple reports of people participating in the playtests finding good builds that ended up trivializing the game, only to feel the nerf hammer in the next playtest build.
Thy made all those combos for you to use them on the content they made, you will have to use them and any attempt at skipping them will be met with nerfs, mark my words.

Jonathan is the prime example of what is known as a "Spiteful Gamemaster"

anon chaos orbs are the new transmute/augment.
if you only want one mod you just need to get a few bases, enter the correct regex and spam chaos until one of them highlights.
ggg will probably give us something like a recombinator so we can take the 1-useful-mod rare items and try to smash them together.

It is a pretty well known fact that builds like DD stayed unnerfed simply because it was not in the top 10 builds played in a league, whereas things like brands got nuked very fast because they topped the charts

incorrect, its because of economics. if something clears too fast for the investment they nerf it. they just get more clearspeed data faster if something is being played by 10% of the server.
that's why it took them ages to nerf DD, it was janky to use but just scaled really well.

But you dont know you made up shit, GGG nerfs builds because boss hp is capped at around a couple billion its down to the code of the game, connor explained this in his deep delve video, its some shit along the lines of 32 bit integer coding and you cant have a value over 1.9 something billion for the boss hp so they nerf builds as much as possible so players dont powercreep uber content quickly when making your builds during mapping so you have content and items to always work towards so you can always get more powerful and not 1 shot the endgame content because it would be boring otherwise it must be a very difficult process with players always wanting more power every single league even with this hp cap and you dumb fucker had no idea this shit existed.

The comparison to diablo and why thats currently fucked, is spiritbourne, as you can see a major difference, d4 is not 32 its 64 the hp can be made into, i believe its the trillions, so they dont give a fuck about nerfing but the major problem is you get specific meta's of the game a "must play" way instead which is a major problem for ARPGs it doesnt allow player choice you "have to" play spiritbourne this league because nothing and i mean nothing comes close to its damage its fucking ridiculous in comparison to other builds

and thus as you can see nerfs are very important in ARPGs because of this comparison to allow player choice.

races are all hc ssf, and ggg have confirmed that they don't balance the game around hc or ssf. it doesn't normally make sense for them to balance the game around Ben, either.
they're probably literally just comparing xp/min data for players using different skill. if one skill is giving average (not Ben) players way too much xp/min too early in the league (steepness of their xp/min curve) they know its too good for some reason and start to investigate.
because they balance around sc anything can be viable with enough gear, so this whole "you don't want us to have fun" speil is just cover for wanting the game to be easier because you found something broken. but people constantly complain about there being meta skills too so from GGG's point there's no way to please everyone.

coc dd (which turns dd into a 1 button build) got popular in sc trade. racers were complaining about it being the only option in hcssf for years before that.
your whole argument is that "fast = fun = popular", but ggg will have data telling them that completely frictionless progression hurts player retention rate amongst non-perma-online autists who are going to play at least one version of the game anyway.
