At least with GTAO, there is fun to be had even if you didn't have missions to play. You can at least just steal a fast car and goof off. With RDRO, even a fishing set is locked behind the leveling system. And horses... I just can't care about the difference between them. They don't do anything interesting except for come when called.

If I didn't have that parasite living at my camp, I could at least just chill.

I remember starting in GTAO, back when it was just a pistol and a stolen Banshee. Missions were still possible. Not having the ability to sponge a ton of personal damage, I could at least use the Banshee as a suit of carmor. Strategies existed to squeak out wins without being rich and powerful yet. Maybe the developers didn't intend it be played that way, but that's the fun part.

In RDRO, it seems like they have refined the game to such an extent that maybe the alternate solutions don't exist. Maybe it's there and I just don't know it yet, but it seems like it's on rails to only play the way they intended, or you just don't play at all.

And everything exist in an economy. Logically, if I kill some dude with a nicer gun, I should keep that stupid gun, but no. Not even stolen hats are kept. They just want everything to be wrapped hopelessly to the in-game economy. There is really no fun without paying, but if you had all the money to begin with, there's no grand end to work towards anyhow. If you had the money, you would just be done, because it seems like quite literally players are only buying gear for the sake of making money for the sake of buying more gear for the sake of making more money. At this point, I guess I have some fuzzy idea that my character should dress nice, but then IDK, kinda mission accomplished and game over.

In a way RDRO mimics GTAO, buying careers/properties. But IDK, RDRO is just so to-the point that this exist as a way to grind more. I get progressively convinced that any fun to be had in GTAO was an accident.

Difficulty in GTAO is largely other players having better tools to grief. Explosive ammo not killing in one shot is largely irrelevant due to knock down and stun effects. But that's just my opinion.
Snacks, vests and healing should be over time and not spammable either to make combat more interesting

I've had fun playing GTAV singleplayer on ps3. Doing the side missions and casual world exploration on the side is comfy. I also don't understand why people cry about thumbstick aiming because freeaiming is perfectly viable.

Controllers are better for vehicles, mouse is better for shooters. There is no perfect input device or platform and fanboyism is pathetic. In general, not you post. As technological superior PCs are, at least consoles have no cheaters apart from mule accounts that are level 8000.

Just unlocked the explosive bullets and im so disappointed that you can only carry 40 for the heavy sniper and have to PHYSICALLY go to a weapon workbench to buy more ammo, its so idiotic

Explosive bullets only really make sense on the mk2 shotgun, because you can explode cars and trucks in 1 shot for less money than RPG rounds at near no reload time.
Explosive sniper should only be used for helicopters to have hitscan, since missiles are borderline useless due to slow flight speed.

Solid advice as the avenger needs more love, given how many rockets it can survive and it even has a garage. Though I think the MOC garage is probably better since it is permanent and you can select your vehicle from the menu without even needing the mechanic or cooldowns.

The other dude is my friend.
These pictures are taken when we're bored of playing the game and just chatting, so we start doing dumb stuff like taking pictures.
I also had a couple of friends who were into making their characters look bad ass and that's one of the ways we would do it.
There's pictures I've been asked not to share with like 6-7 female characters surrounding a guy.
The pictures are kinda sexy, but in the moment it's just 8 people being dumb in a chat, zero sexual atmosphere at all.
Maybe that's the part that I didn't communicate well? That most of these pictures are just friends joking around.
Most still are like 30 second clips and not like hours and hours and flirting and w/e the fuck was going in your head.

I wish rockstar made over the years many of the interior in 5 functional, they removed so much stuff from IV and certain buildings that should be part of the game are exclusive to businesses that you can buy to make them openable, wish there were more strip clubs, bars, fast food joints, shit like that open so people can do other things that go from mission to mission.

You almost need an system that is more like Hitman. Things on a schedule. Disguises. Everyone with a cone of vision. Locked things that need keys or codes to access. And it would always be on for the non-random NPCs related to the place to be robbed. All that detail would probably be a performance nightmare in an open world, but that's kinda the breaks. This has to be why the roleplay servers use human players for boring grunt jobs.

So a potential bank would have some internal security, and it would need to be formidable enough that players couldn't just blast in on a whim to violence some money out. IDK, a safe that has a code that some NPC knows, and the lock only works during certain hours. Silent alarms that clerks could trigger if they were suspicious, even if they didn't tell the player they were onto him. Don't tell the players how it works, and let them figure out the details a bit at a time. And then some element of randomness to subtle timing, so that even a well made plan could go wrong. Variations in security rotation with differently programed guards. Random NPC customers that may elect to intervene in some way.

And of course lots of ways for players to intervene. Follow bank employee NPCs home and steal their badges, which are only effective for one in-game day following. Someone could infiltrate the police station and block attempts to call them, but such methods would surely only be effective for a limited time before the police realized that dispatches aren't happening normally.

NPCs in Red Dead ARE on a schedule. You can typically follow major named NPCs around and they'll go to work in the morning, go to the saloon in the afternoon, and then go home at night. Further, the witness system makes it so crimes aren't reported until an NPC can physically make it to a lawman to alert them. And their ability to 'witness' things is based on line-of-sight.

It would be no different than the store robberies that already exist in-game, just with higher stakes and rewards.

Difficulty comes from the fact the banks have guards inside who actually put up a fight, the fact it takes longer to actually crack the safes, there's more potential witnesses, from the facr that the resultant bounty and thus wanted level will be much higher (leading to more lawmen coming down on you if you can't get out quick enough), and from my idea that you should only be able to attempt a robbery once a day (even if you fail, you still have the cooldown).

I like turboprops and it's fairly fast for being one, plus it has an arsenal that can compete with any other aircraft once you get the hang of its handling. Only thing it can't really do is catch up to a raiju that's determined to just run away like a bitch.

Yea I would like to have some more atmospheric functions like eating even if it was pizza / hot dog cart but at least they do have those business activities like towing trucks, doing the drug running as Trevor etc. Your characters' respective homes is what is supposed to fill a lot of that need, though in the case of the player homes it would nice to have at least some food available for that like in Mafia 2.

I think considering how large the GTAV game world is, you're able to enter a pretty large portion of the buildings. Red Dead Redemption 2 was the king of this though.

I don't use planes much, but probably the Seabreeze. Can land on water, and even do dives straight into water since it's seemingly waterproof. It's not great for combat or anything, but it's got good handling, speed, and is fun to goof around in.

Many places that you think your character should be able to sit down and relax simply don't exist, like how in the vanilla unicorn (the only strip club you can visit, not the only one that exists ingame) only let you lean on the guardrail for the chicks on the pole and you can't sit around anywhere either if you just want to sit there.
Not even wanting to stalk discussing how clothing in online being available equally on every store makes different clothing stores kinda useless, there is like no incentive to visit specific stores for specific clothing.
At least in online imo the game has a lot of content that refuses to be given to players that might make the downtime between doing the money farm loops more fun or at least to make the city more alive.

Yeah I was talking about the singleplayer. And the other games don't have any meaningful online outside the unofficial SAMP. And GTAO is built on top of GTAV's skeleton so they have only so much to work with. I guess with places to sit etc, it would become a nightmare to manage where a character could and could not sit if any chair has to be flagged as a sitting place and then those chairs can't be physics objects cuz what if you move them etc.

But RDR2 had a ton of places you could sit on just for general comfort.

You're right its built on top of V's Skeleton but V's storymode still has a lot more places you can visit that aren't available online and vice-versa if you want to play online today and enjoy all the interesting content from online you need to mod it in because the moment online got released they stopped caring about single player.
And there are still some things in single player that were never translated, like talking about the strip club specifically, not having bouncers in online and not being able to take strippers home for hot coffee, only private dances, also all interiors sort of having all the same amenities makes homes very much the same, with exception of the expensive apartment that lets you launch the old heists who nobody does anymore because Rockstar never tried to make them palatable and in line with modern ones and ergo worth it.

Another thing i would love to point out is how they added smoking weed and then a bunch of businesses related to other drugs that you can't take which is sad, they could have implemented a system like in Narc where different drugs give you different effects, maybe doing likes of coke can give you a short berserk mode for example.

Hey, so the theme of the cover is heists, if you want a picture of your car, try and fit the theme a bit.

Can some good soul help me out? I have a barrage of questions.
I'm the retard that hasn't played since 2017.
1. I haven't kept up with the businesses tho I have heard whats good and whats not, should I bother setting the arcade up even if im probably never going to do the heist?
2. Are those menial missions that properties give even worth it? Stuff like selling surplus in the bunker or exotic goods in the office, they seem to pay very well considering the extremely low effort it takes to do them. Are there just goods, surplus and bike missions so far? I kinda like those.
3. I heard the nightclub is really good for making money, should I bother at all or should I wait until i have a fat 10million to invest in it?
4. Are ANY of the older business worth the time and money? I loved selling I\E cars, but I'm never going to do that in a public lobby. What about warehouses and airfreight cargo? Lupe is based as fuck for a spic.
5. There is a metric fuckload of new properties and businesses that give you missions and new activities, outside any of them is there anything interesting and\or fun?
6. Should I bother doing contact missions at all? Even the new ones, they seem rather poor.
7. Are Cayo Perico, the Cuckin' Bell farm and the mini-heists hard to learn to execute a proper solo run?
8. Has the facility any other use outside hosting the Doomsday shite and wasting money with the orbital laser?
9. I Heard they changed the K\D ratio and how it works, do people still kill each other on sight in public lobbies? At least on pc.
10. I need a crew. Is the general one in the OP any good?

Nightclub passive is really good, but the business is one of the worst ROI. You have to buy 5 businesses and upgrade the nightclub a lot and even then, that's only 1 million every 20 hours of gameplay. The nightclub made sense when you were following the updates and you already had everything in place when it dropped, but starting from nothing the nightclub has to be the worst choice.

You can upgrade the nightclub in stages. Especially if you have the criminal enterprise starter pack, you'll already have 3 businesses ready to supply the club (bunker, counterfeit cash, and cargo warehouse via the CEO agency).

You can start on those with just the default basement level that comes with the nightclub, once you hire 3 technicians. After that, you want to do several things:

>Purchase the additional basement levels (and probably the parking spaces, too, since the game is kind of stingy with those compared to the number of vehicles)
>Purchase a Pounder Custom to handle larger deliveries (you don't REALLY need to upgrade it from the base model, though armor and better brakes/engine are nice to have)
>Purchase the $1.4 million upgrade which doubles your production speed (spendy, but pays for itself over time)
>Purchase a cocaine lockup
>Purchase a meth lab

There is no need to upgrade either of them if you just intend to use them to supply the nightclub. However, you should still probably put them in a central location in case you ever want to try deliveries from them (like on bonus money weeks). That means Alamo Sea/Sandy Shores area rather than Paleto Bay or Elysian Island.

In theory, you can expand everything and not buy the Pounder if you always deliver before your cargo value exceeds the Speedo's capacity (around $500K), but that's a bit inconvenient. Never, ever purchase the Mule. All Mule-sized deliveries can be handled by the Pounder, which is a better vehicle.

Inevitably though, now it's back to every lobby having at least 5 modders being faggots, and having to wait 20 seconds for the network to out you into interiors. The irony is that the only way to block shit modders do would be to use a menu that has protections. Anyways, always report. I've still never been instacrashed/kicked for reporting anyone since Battleye, so maybe reporting works differently now and can't be blocked/detected.

I finally installed it after sitting on my library last month and this is almost exactly what I did with just a little research. Thrax feels pretty forgotten. Most people prefer the Krieger, but I've always enjoyed the overall handling of the Thrax.
Coil Cyclone for acceleration.

Sultan Classic for a decent 4 door AWD car with nice acceleration.

Turismo Classic because I'm a sucker for the F40.

BF400 is my favorite dirtbike to goof around with.
Akuma is nice overall with good handling/acceleration.
Thrust is a nice cruiser that works well for the motorcycle wall climbing glitch.

Probably not underrated since most lobbies have a few people drifting around, but I give an honorable mention to all of them since I wish more people did Drift Races. My personal favorites are probably Z350 or Euros if I want sensitive steering. Remus or Futo GTX if I want less twitchy steering.

Scuba is a pragmatic base.
Even though they patched the old telescope glitch, there are some alternatives that could probably get the mask/helmet overlap.
I think maybe a glitch the transfer the armor/belt is still working.

V has 2 decent and somewhat memorable stunt jumps I can think of: The one off the shopping mall ramp by LSC, and the ramp that lets you fly over the derelict motel in Sandy Shores.
Almost every other jump in the game is placed behind a turn or obstacle that prevents you from building any speed for the jump, or has a landing zone so full of obstacles that a stunt-ruining landing is almost unavoidable. It's baffling map design.

ive tested the 811 against both too and smoked both too, you dont need to define a start and finish if the metric is top speed, im sure there are plenty of ranges where the 811 gets out accellerated by many cars, but on a long enough road 811 is fastest.

That's a ''you'' problem. Sandy Shores, the surrounding farmland and the little bits of Northern California coast and the little town north of Los Santos are cozy as fuck. Now, it would be nice if there were more things to do / unique activities up in that norcal town yea but I feel like GTAV world map is actually really nice.

And the city of Los Santos feels really nice and lived-in. Again if there was just a bit more repeatable activities or immersion related things to do. I drove around on the hills, it was night and seeing the sea of lights from the city below was magical.

You folks have forgotten what it is like to have fun.

I avoided buying the forgery business, but really, in theory you just never resupply. Don't pay for supplies and don't launch the missions. If you are doing the daily stash house, and occasionally stealing the random supply vehicles that are constantly showing up near Del Pero, all your supplies would be free. It wouldn't take long to pay for the initial cost of the facility.

I prefer having my stash house supplies go to my acid lab. Easy 500k after a 5 to 10 minute delivery, and it only takes like 1.5 stash house raids to fill it.

I'm not forgetting it. I just don't care about it. The idea isn't to be active with the forgery. The idea is to ignore it and let supplies arrive just whenever. It doesn't need to pay for itself in a week. It only needs to make money eventually. Don't even need to wait for it to be full or try to be greedy about selling in public lobbies. I honestly treat all my motorcycle club businesses this way. I don't resupply anything but the acid lab, but half of my motorcycle club businesses always seem to have product ready for me to sell when I get around to making things empty, because the general universe provides supplies.

To be fair i honestly don't think that was the intention. It was only the second business update and it was attempting to be a lot more thematic than the securo serve stuff. This was back when R* was absolutely convinced people only played online with friends so they probably had some grand delusions of players actually LARPing as bikers and constantly doing sale missions as a group 24/7 like WoW clans.

Before retiring as MC prez or CEO you can check for shadow raid glitch without even entering any building by looking if the Darts symbol is on the map. If you cannot see it that means the corona icon in front of it is gone and you are being shadow raided.
If you are fucked you have to manually try to enter the affected business to figure out which it is, because the call telling you will be stuck in hell.
Checking the map beforehand gives you ease of mind that there is none going on, rather than getting the bad news next sign in.

Selling acid is boring to me and not different enough from biker gang drug sales. Also there's no heist, just missions with retards. The mission where you actually take acid feels low effort too, like some shit some player could have made as a custom job. Also feels like the DLC was meant to be selling meth with Trevor, but they can't get him anymore so they got Dax.
To me, the last good DLC was the one that added the Cayo heist. Giving so many options on how to pull it off actually felt like a step up from the Casino heist. Since Cayo though, heist DLCs like the Cluckin Bell one have been underwhelming.

And spent probably close to a little over 4 hours on resupply and delivery alone, and that's with EXTREMELY generous estimates that the resupply only took 5 minutes and the delivery 2. I've been playing since day one, I know what it's like to grind out contact missions for what is essentially pocket change these days. I also know it's not 2013 anymore, and that there are better ways to make money. And there is no "making do" when the forgery costs just about as much as a good coke lockup that will bring in much more profit for the same effort.

I'd usually recommend doing some drift races because they're basically a slow motion way to get the hang of how to manipulate the brakes/gas to avoid spinning out, but the Weevil Custom is kinda beyond salvaging in that regard. At full speed it seems it's always going to lose traction on turns and slam into walls. The only option is to slow down for turns, and who wants to do that.

Had that bug too and I was able to fix it by rebuying the clubhouse with a different mural painting and all upgrades. When i rebought it with the same customizations it only drained money and fixed not the bug. So purchasing it differently is key.
That bug is years old by the way.

You only need to do 5th place to qualify for the prize ride. Doing any LSCM drag races have 4 players max, so you get the car without even trying. That being said, the Growler is awesome once you figured out its quirks. Won me a lot of races street races.

I've been doing okay in street races. The shortcuts keep catching me off guard and the growler really seems to handle certain turns poorly which still keeps messing me up but I still love the car.

You have to be careful with acceleration while going into a corner. Sometimes just letting go of the throttle will save you from snap oversteering. You'll eventually figure out which corners need special attention.

If they log who was script host that session and who was session host they can indeed only sanction the player who rigged the payout. Lobbies are complex, but it is easy to figure out who indeed was the cheater by logging the seeds that determine which player runs what part of the P2P server.

Unless they assume guilt by association. You better not have those people in your friendlist.

Ban waves are very common, yet there are hundreds of glitches in the game and people are CONSTANTLY doing them.
Thing is, only certain exploits are detectable and the rule of thumb is that you should never do exploits when other people are present, because a single report may initiate an investigation.
You can't ban people from pressing alt f4 or if their connection goes down, the heuristic method most devs use to ban ppl for exploiting is extremely retarded and does not register keypresses.
They never do anything about almost every glitch if you're solo or doing it in private.
You can still replay every heist by simply alt f4ing at the end of the finale cinematic, job warping has been in the game since 2015 and people still find new methods to get the duffel bag or the CEO vest in outfits.
Stop pretending Battleye is a new chapter for GTAO, it's the worst anticheat on the market with ridiculous fees.

Who cares, they signed a plan and they can still swap it with anything else for GTA 6. This is just a test run to decide what to use in GTAO2. We are beta testing a more secure netcode routed through battleye servers. I can see it in my DNS records that it terminates not at rockstar anymore but the anti-cheat solution. Which is good.
Deep package inspection rats out retards still using crash exploit packets on unsuspecting clean players. CTD abuse is the absolute dog shit of cheating and if cheaters bother other players they deserve every shit.

Goddamn, Battleye fucking sucks. I don't care about my level being skyrocketed, but the noise spam from the collectible shit is so annoying. I'm legit tempted to get a menu solely to protect myself from modders that do gay shit, since they clearly aren't getting banned. Apparently the bypass to the anticheat is something called FSL which makes your online save local, so it doesn't send detectable packets to the servers or some shit. I don't really understand it, so I doubt I'll attempt it, but it's going to get more tempting the longer it takes for these retards to get banned. Assuming they ever do.
