qrd of the events leading up to the ending and the ending? I stopped caring when it went into the spiritual "le ruby doesn't love you she is actually the dead girl from the past's soul in love with you by proxy of having my soul" copout. On second thought, didn't the manga start off as a critique of the idol industry before that part fell apart to give more time to the love triangles and secondary characters? I'm basing that solely on other people's descriptions, but if that's the case, maybe the author thought he had "glamorized" the idol industry by having the leads be happy and successful, and he tried to hammer in the original message at the worst possible time for the story.

Nemlei was special. Even before we got explicit confirmation, she sent out a lot of strong signals from the very beginning that she could be trusted to deliver unambiguous incest without any bullshit. The most important ones being:
-The game centering around Andrew and Ashley and no one else, relegating every other character to a sideshow and greatly reducing the likelihood of some hussy stealing the show and having it devolve into harem trash.
-She openly approved of incest fanart on her blog
-Her devlogs from the start featured heavy sexual innuendo
If any other dev, mangaka, or whatever that was dipping their toes into brother-sister incest had as much going for their unfinished product and had no history of pointless baiting, asspulls, and cop-outs, I'd be comfortable putting my trust in them too. Problem is, there really aren't any.

Did "Decay" always refer to the "moral decay of Andrew Graves", or was this a post Episode 2 revision? It was never made explicit, but the obvious assumption with the way Episode 2 wrapped up if you went down that route was that it referred to the decay of their relationship. If anything Andrew in Burial seemed to be the more morally decayed one with the way he just accepts butchering his parents.

It would be nice if, after the game is finished and all episodes released, Nemlei gives us insight into how the development progressed and changed as time passed. To hear about the ideas that were intended at first but eventually discarded, and those that were only later shoehorned in.

I think such attitudes are just more common than we think, but since politics are a matter of coalitions and not giving every person a party that fully represents them, the women who have them are forced to either hold their noses for one side or the other, or just give up altogether. It's worth remembering that in every election, eligible voters who don't vote outnumber the voters of either party. That's a lot of people who are completely unrepresented in political discourse.

Oh, I agree. Don't get me wrong, it's ultimately a story about the siblings and all are stepping stones in their way but it was a good way of showing the vile nature of both Andrew and Ashley. A good protagonist/antagonist is someone you can understand and see eye to eye, despite their horrible actions and I think nemlei has done that well.
Even Lynn in Divilthion had understandable motives in both endings, though I prefer one over the other.
