>>502250730To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand the experience of playing HC. The thrill of it is incredibly subtle, and without a solid grasp of game mechanics and near-perfect situational awareness, most of the challenge will go over a typical player's head. There’s also the ever-present tension of permadeath, which is woven masterfully into the entire gameplay experience—one wrong pull, one split-second delay, and it’s all over. The Hardcore players get this; they have the tenacity and skill to truly appreciate the depth of the game, to realize that it’s not just leveling up—it’s an epic test of endurance and survival.
As a result, people who criticize HC truly are missing out—of course, they wouldn't understand, for instance, the rush of escaping certain death in a tightly packed zone or the meticulous planning required to approach every fight. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those uninitiated players scratching their heads in confusion as a HC vet meticulously plans his every move, adapting and strategizing in real time. What fools... how I pity them.
And yes, by the way, I DO have a 60 on HC. And no, you cannot see the stream. It's for true fans only—those who can at least understand the courage it takes to risk it all.
