The key is to have more than one fucking villain and not have them be constant world-ending bullshit
A lot of what made vanilla so cool was the fact that there were several stories going on at the same time
Gallywix should've been shown in 11.0
Xally should barely have been shown, the focus should've been on Ansurek completely over Xally
More hints at the Ethereals
They could easily pull some demons or old god warlords out of their ass that have been building strength in secret

The way they only have one story per patch with another bigger expansion story is getting very tiresome

all they have to do is fix class balance. if the game wasn't so metabrained as it is right now literally 90% of the doomies would stop dooming. IKTF and sympathize. I was at the cottage during early access so I brought a laptop to Parsec to my battlestation at home, 300km away, using our shiny new Starlink and it ran flawlessly! I leveled my shadowpriest main and was sussed out from the start but then started doing heroics and holy fuck I felt so useless and insignificant because shadow is so weak I literally said to my family who were sitting on the other couch across from me watching TV and listening to me play and I said "holy fuck I feel useless right now, I suck so bad." and my sister laughed and asked "did they nerf your class?!" she doesn't even play the game and she knew. She knew.

People are just mad they can't play the character they love but don't want to be a metaslave. If blizzard fixed this it'd be an awesome expansion.

There isnt a single piece of fan art that replicates the proportionate size of a goblin's arms and head relative to their body ingame. Not even with the male goblins. Gnomeregan is a lot less interesting than I remembered it. cycle your game through windowed and windowed fullscreen if you are running in windows fullscreen - blizzie did some shit that fucked up the game's config and the scaling of elements this tuesday but this is easily fixed by cycling display settings, maybe that might help, at least it fixed it for me.

It's gonna be a Garrison but smaller and ideally more personalized, its going to be instanced, you can invite players to your instance and there's going to be set anchor points where you can place set items, all this is *fine* but pretty eh.

Ideally there'd be multiple players per instance, like a neighborhood, asheron's call had the sickest system where Mansions, Villas, and Houses were all in world with neighborhoods, but there were apartments outside of the overworld for players who couldn't afford or get any of the bigger houses, that's my ideal but we aint getting that.

Everything about WoD screams rushed development. The Garrison was supposed to be much more expansive than we ended up getting, and you were supposed to be able to put it in any of the WoD zones you wanted.
I wouldn't be surprised if serious development of the Garrison was less than a year and when word came from higher up to push what they had ready to launch, they just cut out everything that wasn't done.

I really like XIV actually. The problem I was facing is that a lot of my friends stopped playing. At the end of the day I was just solo queuing CC but every game was either a stomp or a wash, and I wasn't having fun anymore.

NTA, I've played wow going on 17 years and XIV since ARR, the common denominator of players is that eventually you WILL get bored of your game and you'll go try something else. I've played nearly every big mmo to max level and done at least a little raiding trying to get the highs of those 2. Wildstar, Rift, Tera, GW2, etc etc. But each and everytime you will return to whatever was your first mmo. The closest I ever got to fully quitting either was WildStar till that went f2p. MMOs suck fucking ass now.

Dragonflight was really bad about this. If you keep going it gets worse lol. Socially anxious drakonid, intentionally-crippled dracthyr, SEVERAL gay couples for quests. And just the way the characters speak reeks of shitty millennial writing.

As I've said countless times on /wowg/ before, Dragonflight was good for gameplay (mythics, raid, world content, cosmetics etc) but the questing and story was painful cringe.

Thankfully, TWW questing and story is Purdy Gud.
