So I've started looking at potential guilds. Some are stating 10/10 NM and 1/10 H/M which I'm guessing is "Normal Mode" and "Mythic"
Should I set out to join a mythic raiding guild or are they especially sweaty in regards to preparation and dedication?
I play SoD and I get orange parses with some pinks so I think I'm capable but I've heard retail is harder.

I don't even think these are AI upscaled. They look more like someone just blew them up in Photoshop and used a shitty brush to generally paint over them in a slapshod fashion, because they didn't think/care that anyone would ever see them at full size due to the UI shrinking them down.

Join a regular normie/heroic guild to get some experience and AOTC then look to go upwards in a better guild or progress mythic with the one you find. A "mythic guild" will likely not take you if you're brand spanking new to retail.

Ah thats a fair point thanks. I've only had experience with SoD so getting into raids doesn't have much of a barrier and item levels aren't the same at all. I hadn't even considered what mythic actually requires. Is it a case of to do mythic you need heroic raid gear?
Is there an actual discernible difference in difficulty between classic raids and retail? Its bad enough getting people to do basic mechanics like line of sight so I can't honestly imagine more complex bosses.

Yes you need bis heroic gear and lots of experience on heroic bosses before moving to mythic. Mythic raids are a league of their own with many boss having a unique mythic only ability. The bosses are also tougher and punish mistakes heavier.

Most people play heroic raids, that's kinda the "normal gamer" level. Normal mode is for casuals and dad gamers.

I'm on the Stormrage server, not Moon Guard unfortunately. I ran with a /v/ guild for three seasons of SoD and it was great. ( Phase 3, Sunken Temple killed a LOT of guilds out of sheer boredom )

I don't get why they're re-using brann when i'm pretty sure they said you would have a different companion each season..
They said he's getting updates but they're so lazy are they actually going to change his function? I doubt it. Brann is actually the fucking worst. He throws potions randomly scattered around the map sometimes near you sometimes not, the cooldown and usage of it is not consistent, and he very often throws them the moment you engage in combat so as a melee he throws potions nowhere near the mobs you're moving towards. It's his basic healing function and it's full on retarded and barely even works.
Are we seriously dealing with this nonsense for whole second fucking season?

She was addition introduced while Metzen was already out of the company and only coming back to do VA work for Thrall.
All in all, she's forever been stuck in an odd limbo thanks to being so heavily tied to the Maghar quest and how they wrote her backstory, that it's taken until now for someone. Seemingly Metzen to push forward an idea to move her to an actual family role with Thrall so she can be more tied into shit.

I've had a great week so far. I got a really great item from vault and replaced my weakest item. Then I decided instead of pugging the raid on Sundays on my day off like I've been doing I'll try pugging on Tuesdays instead when there are more people playing their mains so the raids go better and I was right! I killed a bunch of the bosses and made some frens who invited me to their guild. I've also cleared all the casual content for stones and badgers. Plus I also finished acquiring all of the things from the anniversary event so don't have to farm those daily bosses anymore. Now I'm going into Thursday ready to do nothing but mythics, except for next guild raid which is this weekend. I'm 617 now so I'm going to try to do 10s. It's going to be a good week. :)

Maybe I'll even get AOTC this week!

Imo we should've gotten K'aresh straight after Legion. It just seemed the most logical follow-up to Argus. They had a great cast of characters in Turalyon, Alleria, Khadgar, Velen etc., they had the Vindicaar which could travel through space, they even had some Void-related stuff on Argus which I thought was teasing a Void expansion (because the last patch of an expansion always foreshadowed the next expac - 5.4 foreshadowed Iron Horde; 6.2 foreshadowed Legion; etc.).

Imagine my shock when they announced a faction war expansion instead.

You can farm them via timewalking dungeons as well.
If you finish the main story, you'll have the option to engage with end game content like world quests on your other toons, while also having access to the levelling campaign if you want to do it for XP

Why does the game run so poorly in raids when there are ads? Like when the parasites spawn on broodtwister. I even removed details and the game still chugs at a much lower framerate. Good chance Rootlands also got delayed for later expansion as well. Considering Last Titan also needs zones and is supposed to take place in Northrend, it's not out of theory for them to reuse the initial Rootlands plans over to Northrend since they've already done the Underground Nerubian zone in WW.
Easy reuse of planned assets, can be retrofitted into what ever Azeroth reveal they want for Last Tit and also works for our mandatory Night Elf story every expansion
