a buddy of mine works for GGG, a minor position but he's given me some info on the lowkey before thats been spot on
apparently GGG are aiming for a weekend release next week as they didn't expect to have the account / mtx issue sorted this quickly. they'll speed up the teasers after this weekend instead of spreading them out over the next 3 weeks as initially planned and then on friday / saturday depending on your timezone they will finally release it

Lets see, you take about 4 minutes a map lets say and it it will take you 2 minutes to grab all the maps that have extra chaos in them. That's 750c extra you'd be getting in that time. If it takes 4 mins to run a map, lets just say you get 1/2 an extra map done if you don't do this so you might get 4 extra essences worth selling so 80c. So if you just grab the right maps you make 670 chaos more an hour for literally 0 effort. And this is just if they are chaos, this isn't counting shit worth way more like baubles or div where you will make MUCH MUCH more. And this is also only if those maps only have 1 mod, sometimes you'll get multiple good mods on a map. In addition this is all raw currency which takes 0 time to list, so even more currency / hour. You're an idiot if you AREN'T doing the right maps.

Well I just got to maps on necro settlers. Pretty ZZZzzz so far, just feels like normal settlers. Looked at scarab prices to see which way I wanna take my atlas tree after getting maps and I usually go essences and holy fuck these prices for scarabs are absolutely ridiculous. Today at 9am NZT we took down the realm for the deployment of the new account system. This migration was expected to take around 4 hours.

The first thing that went wrong was that the migration took longer to run than it did on our test hardware. This extended the downtime for an extra hour past the point that we had budgeted for.

After the realm was brought back up around 2PM NZT, we found that many players were getting disconnected frequently. This was caused by crashes in one of the backend master servers that caused online account session information to be lost.

We spent around 15 minutes trying to investigate the causes of these crashes but were unable to immediately come up with any solutions so we decided to roll back the patch.

Unfortunately in this case, what would normally take a very short amount of time to roll back took a very long time due to the extensive database migrations that had occurred during deployment. The databases are very large and restoring the backup took quite some time. The realm was brought back and the game restored at 3PM NZT.

The restore of the website databases took even longer and resulted in extended website downtime as well (the website was not available until 4:30PM NZT).

After investigation we have discovered that the crashes were caused by a very simple flaw. The constant that represents the length of an account name used in the account session was still accidentally using an old value, before we added the discriminator. If a player logged in with an account name longer than 27 characters then it would result in an exception being thrown when trying to copy the account name into the account session.

This on its own should not have resulted in the master crashing, but this occurred in an area of the code base that was designed to be exception free, which resulted in the entire process crashing.

The bug itself is already fixed, and we have also changed the code to be more resistant to exceptions occurring.

You can actually bulk sell cards per their game now, which is actually super hidden for some fucking reason on steam.

Go to your library, click on a game you have cards for, hit view my trading cards and there's a sell these cards on the market button which will let you list them all at once.

For dota/cs items i think it's possible but i don't know, i have THOUSANDS of fucking items and just sell the big ticket shit. I wish there was an option to just bulk sell an entire inventory for current market prices.

without unplayable mods there is no way for maps to brick so there is no reason to have map mods generated by rng. that deletes the reason for a lot map crafting currencies.
also if they removed reflect you would just switch to the next most annoying mod category, like "players cannot restore life or energy shield".

As someone who planned on migrating from PC to PS5 for PoE2, I’m pretty fatigued by how ineptly GGG seems to be handling this.

More games than not have cross-purchase MTX on PlayStation with other platforms with no issue, a fact that is missed by all the reddit retards pointing the gun at Sony.

GGG’s wording in the post also doesn’t confirm that the cross-purchase restriction applies to PoE2, nor does it answer any other important questions (what happens if I buy stash tabs on both PS and PC? will they even be visible on the other platform?).

If I have to buy the Supporter Pack twice to access the game on both platforms, I will shit a brick.

They’re just flailing around and figuring this stuff out at the last second.

Sony won the console wars, XBOX is willing to let GGG have cross-compatible MTX, so it has to be Sony trying to exploit the situation somehow. Sony is obviously going to get a % of MTX sales on playstation and it'll be a disagreement about that.
it's also possible that Tencent owning GGG is more of a problem for Sony because China vs Japan. GGG themselves are just stuck in the middle of it.

dominus, atziri, malachai, piety, all of them were tapping into beast magic to achieve their goals

the corruption didn't end after we "killed" the beast because the beast didn't die. it was just weakened

poe2 is set in the future of poe1. sin is trapped inside a tree by the protagonists to keep him away from the heart of the beast so he cannot interfere in their plans. they dig for it, they discover it, they capture it, they begin experimenting with its power just like all of the protagonists in poe1. subsequently becoming corrupted themselves in the process

look at the creature in the poe1 logo. its a mixture of muscle, sinew, and veins that also look like parasites. its a heart of corruption, or the heart of corruption. its the heart of the beast. the source of its power

They said the Hooded guy is a returning character from PoE 1.
Coincidentally the announcement coincided with a patch were they added more backstory to Dominus, with that post Act 10 epilogue where you went to his vault before doing maps.
He was also made a prominent figure and given even more backstory in the PoE Mobile game.

Surely its just Sin though ;^)

There's continuity and then there's boring. We already have strong threads with the corruption itself, I don't see why we need to rehash Sin when his input was neatly tied up at the end of act 10. What's he gonna do, keep sucking powers from any one else we find who could be considered a god? BORING. I don't mind the idea of running into him somewhere or seeking him out later wherever he said he was going to to maybe figure out a way to remake the beast or an equivalent but having him come in so early also seems forced

Nah, it's cool. I know that low tolerance stacking is sick. Kinda regret what I rolled. I went for Ice shot of pen mines Deadeye, then wasn't really happy with it and switched to classic Elehit, which also felt bad because all the fucking gens are expensive as fuck. Currently rerolling an LS trickster, already got all the build enabling shit, so I just need to craft/buy some rares.

>cold mastery: increased dmg per second frozen and cold exposure
>ice shot of pen, hypothermia, inspiration (running double taming so can't run - mana cost rings), ret proj and trinity
I grabbed extra pierce nodes from tree and "increased dmg per enemy pierced" to one click every pack but it's not necessary
going through red maps now and it's smooth as fuck
