Well you see back when the only way to play vanilla was to sign up for some dinky russian private server people found out that they got a way bigger dopamine hit from playing a "fresh" server for a couple days than they did from actually playing vanilla through to level 60.

This created a culture where people were always looking for the "new fresh" to start playing on instead of looking for a good server. We call these people "Fresh Junkies" because they can't have fun without new fresh.

Original classic was THE big hit for fresh junkies, the biggest fresh launch they ever got to experience, and it broke their brains. Now instead of prowling for private servers that can't get them that same high they spent 5 years begging blizzard for another hit of that good shit.

Now blizzard is giving it to them, and the depression that sets in once they realize it didn't feel as good as the last time is going to be devastating.

shamans are about being one with nature, and explicitly require friendly communication and permission from the spirits to use their powers. goblins are all about the exploitation, destruction and abuse of nature, hell even their totems are little oil rigs

Max used to be so happy to buy me every mount and pet that appeared in the shop because he saw it made me as happy as he’s able to make my wife (and he’s such a cool dude, and makes a lot of money with his cool job,andhe works out), but the brutosaur mounr added to the shop made him change his tune.

He took me out to get ice cream yesterday in his new Porsche and explained his thinking process (he got me an extra scoop of chocolate). “I know you want all of those cosmetic bundles, but this ismore important than microtransactions. It’s abouttaking a standwith the Warcraft community. You can’t just be a bystander while they fight for what’s right!”

I joked with him that I amregularlya bystander whenever he’s intimate with my wife (every day and night forHOURSwhile I watch through a crack in the closet door). He laughed. He looked down at me (he’s 6’8”) and gave me a smile. “I wouldn’t have it any other way”. He winked.

He's so cool.

As we drove back home (I sat in the backseat) I thought about what Max had said and it resonated with me. I also realized:

“Wait a minute… if Max stops buying me cosmetics in World of Warcraft, maybe he’d be willing to buy me more ice cream! And, if I’m spending less time playingmy earthern Dwarf (this is my 24th race change purchase this month), I’ll have more time to spend watching him please my wife!”

All this is to say…do not let this die, do not let this be forgotten!

Such a cool idea in concept, but the frog farming and HOF farming and whatever juiced the fuck out of player power so that questing mobs were harder than Mythic SoO. Which wouldn't be a problem if the dumb fucking playerbase wouldn't bitch if that wasn't the case for Legion remix.
In a perfect world Mythic Legion Remix would be about as hard as early-patch Heroic raid on retail, or maybe more like Fated: it's diet Mythic with very lenient gear/progression requirements but still requires the group to be on the ball and paying attention. But thanks to MoP remix it's almost guaranteed that Blizzard is making Legion Remix to fit the expectations of the lowest common denominator aka people who want faceroll Mythic with 5x-better-than-twink throughput

Friends, I just started playing the game. Chose a paladin with the retribution spec (looks very cool) I'm now somewhere in the Dragon Isles. i haven't bought the newest expansion so I assume I'll just play through this one first, leveling to the max level and then buy and move onto that one if I like the game. There's some optional cosmetic stuff you can collect from Dragonflight from the hourly archeology thing or the time rifts. But honestly the side quests of DF were fairly mid.

Get to 70, and then Chromie should be in Valdrakken near the big fountain with a quest to unlock your own personal tabard to customize.

Other than that, just play and vibe.

I have both of these and I really don't care if they come back and other people get them. I'm not one of those people who think these are super valuable and should remain off limits.

If they instance it, it's DOA almost. People will like it but more as a 'collection' tool than anything. Will prob make them the most money though so that's what they'll go with. They will prob also make it like collecting pets and slow-roll shit out from old dungeons/raids. Will be more successful at making them money than M+ was so they won't care of it's 'doa' to us.

Honestly, very likely yes. As long as you can play alone for awhile and are self-motivated to learn, you can play the fuck out of this game as a new player. I think it would be best to stick to 1 class unless you really grow to dislike it. If you wander too much, you'll get overwhelmed and checkout of the game prob.

Ironically MG might be one of the better servers to start on. That or if you have zero interest in ever rping, maybe another large-but-not-overwhelming server. Illidan server would be bad IMO. Way too much going on.

Like something that makes the entire shadowpriest kit Light themed
Or Gurubashi boom druid, with bloodfire replacing Sunfire and Loafire or something replacing Moonfire, etc.
Could be a way to give the game a Necromancer class by giving warlocks a Scourge skin for their stuff.
