>>501973810 On my first playthrough of DA2 I didn't use her enough to get her friendship (or rivalry) quite high enough for her to return with the book but I saw she got a huge approval boost if you trust her with the book when she makes the deal right before leaving. I did so - it put her over the top - I got her passive boost and everything. Only to find out I also had to do the Questioning Beliefs quest which I was unable to do since she leaves after that approval boost.
So I was fully expecting her to come in when I confronted the Arishok but she never did. The whole third act I had her boost - a thumb's up with "Isabela's Got Your Back!" while she took the book and ran.
I wanted to kill her ever since. And I'm eternally denied the opportunity.

Adding companion banter in the halls of the lighthouse was cool so you don't miss out on banter by not bringing certain characters
The story still has it's good moments
The cinematics in the game are pretty incredible at times. Heavy on Weisshaupt, Emmerich's story line, and the final suicide mission.
Solas fighting the Archdemon as Dreadwolf during the whole battle was pretty cool to see.
DAV fixed a lot of major issues with the series. Just fire a large portion of those writers.
