You can tell when someone is at a certain level with ease in this game, without even looking at their profiles beforehand. Diamond 1 players in this game are FLAWED. They're like raw Gold players in SFV, there's always something blatantly wrong about their playstyle

>he knows how to pilot his character correctly, but his neutral is just flowcharting two options
>he have great neutral, but the biggest combo he knows is medium medium special
>good all around, but extremely predictable on wake-up, the kind of retard that always wake up either with DP or mashing, blocking is never an option, and gets more stupid as the game goes on because of anxiety. Needs therapy instead of training room time
And so on, and the guy is simply not like that. RashidDid911 is above "battle loung sharks" levels too, BH sharks are usually gimmicky and abuse lack of knowledge of worse players, and the guy is actually legit. There are things you only see in ranked in this game, because BH is mostly full of shitters, and he is usually ready for those shenanigans too.

So that's the logical assumption, RashidDid911 is just a backup, that he uses for protection. Understandable, some years ago back in the biggest height of /fgg/ schizos begging for attention, they would hunt you down and discover who you are, to the point of scavanging forum posts you did when you were a teenager and mock you for it. Anyone smart makes that separation, or else you get retards with gigabytes of compromising data just like Baron, Cheez, or Broski

I don't know what specifically happened but watching offline tournaments for this game feels less exciting than watching big offline tournaments for SFV, and I'm not particularly a fan of SFV either.
COVID fucked things up a bit, I'm aware, but now that it's not a big deal anymore offline tournaments have become kind of whatever.

You can tell some costumes were made first and had more cooking time just by seeing how polished they are compared to other costumes.
For example, Ryu and Ken's Costume 2 are more polished than their defaults just by looking at the texture work and how well the physics makes them breathe in motion compared to other costumes which look like they're glued to the character while having zero detail.

I'm having trouble picking someone to learn to get okay at and instead just play lots badly. I played Laura, Sakura and Cody most in 5 and actually got okay at them. Are there any close equivalents in 6? I know Manon is a grappler with other moves kinda like Laura and big single hits from Marisa is kinda like Zonk Knuckle and Ruffian Kick funcionality, there seems to be quite a few shoto-likes to equate to Sakura, etc. But I don't have deep knowledge on any of 6 yet.

I think its funny how melee players will play fox and falco and do all these crazy techniques, but then get filtered by hadoken inputs. But its moot anyways because only fox and falco represent melee's execution level. The other top tiers are much more forgiving until you reach top level.

Most melee players back during its revival period were playing the carry characters while posting pictures like this. Peach, jigglypuff, marth, sheik, and falcon have way way way easier execution than the space animals. Falcon has advanced stuff but its not needed until you get really good.

You could reverse the argument as well. Say how SF pros can memorize all these combo inputs, but look like a complete lost duck when playing Smash as well.
At the end of the day is just two different skill sets.
Melee pros also look like bots in Ult, because Melee rewards more teach-heavy and combo gameplay, unlike Ult which is more about movement, footsies reading your opponent and punishing their bad habits than going for hard combos.
