The pace is amazing
Often too fast which prevents the feel of control over the map, but crucially never too slow
Theres very few moments in the game (though i play hardpoint only so it may differ) where i feel like im just aimlessly wandering around the map looking for people
the game is absolutely methed out and it increases the rate of engagements which is what the fun of cod is about

Omni movement is a good addition, and its more apparent when you go back to MWIII multiplayer. The problem is that BO6 has some of the worst launch maps in recent memory, perhaps even rivaling those in MWII. There's a reason why plenty of lobbies have people choosing Random whenever map voting comes up.

For MW2009 and MW2013, certainly not MW19. It was such a miserable experience to go through with randoms but I did it and all I got is Zane's default skin and you know what? I love it. I think multiplayer is just too inconsistent for me. One game I'll be one bursting people with the swat the next I'll watch three bullets go into them and get nothing but hit markers and when I send the next three bullets at them they leave the magazine but dont do anything. This is just incredibly bad bordering on unplayable. I can't imagine any other FPS doing this without the community rioting.

Oh absolutely not, the people actually saying shit like that are fucking retards. In the most technical sense you could construe it that way because the algorithm doesn't completely prioritize connection quality and is willing to skimp on it a bit (or a lot) to get you a "skill match," but that's a very different story from being too good so the system literally nerfs your damage. I don't think there's really that much rhetoric about things like skill-based damage beyond the absolute schizo clickbaiter that is blametruth, but I'm also not "in the know" as far as e-celebs are concerned because they're all fags.

SBMM has always caused sweats to lobby up with people far away. The problem is that the netcode is so shoddy that a ping difference of 5 in BO6 is equivalent to 50+ in MW3. I do not recall anything like what I experience regularly in this game from previous games, if it happened, it was so rare and sporadic that it didn't register as being worth remembering.
The most egregious part of all of this for me is that this did not fucking happen in the beta whatsoever.
I no lifed the fuck out of the pre release period and had nothing but fun, it's incredibly disappointing.

You used to be able to weave through the crowds of zombies using the omnimovement, it was fun and felt skillful, now you just can't. I get increasing difficulty, but it feels like a game mechanic was removed.

That's a waste of time. You can comfortably get up to round 30 with a legendary pap 3 gun. After that the damage drops off hard and you need a wonder weapon. XP gain is allegedly the same regardless of round i.e. less xp per zombie but more zombies to kill

Honestly my biggest gripe with the round-based zombies is how hard and how quickly everything scales. It never feels like you're ever actually keeping pace with it, you're either so far ahead of the zombies' scaling that it's braindead or you're trying to shoot down a brick wall with a nerf gun. At least the open-world zombies shit was comfy, but the round-based zombies mode feels like tedium until you "solve" it at which point it ceases to be a challenge or hold any interest beyond grinding out camos, and they even put a damper on that by making zombies matrix-dodge when you shoot them for no other reason to be inconvenient since it doesn't add an additional layer of challenge.

Problem here is this: you can't analyze the packets CoD client sends and receives because they are obfuscating them. This also means sending extra security packets and redundant packets. It might look like it's sending "muh 60 fps packets" but in reality it's max 30 fps all the time. MAX 30 fps.
Same goes for hit detection it's all done client side and synced over the relay server.
Anyway it's all shit that's for sure I'm not disputing this at all.

How does BO6 compare to MWII? That was the last COD I played and it was a pile of shit. Did they fix any of the retarded design choices from that game, like the horrendous UX or obnoxious progression system? The progression system is imo far more obnoxious because guns now take fucking forever to level, yet are objectively better when very high level due to most attachments not having any cons. Also Prestige now constantly relocks all of your stuff (but thankfully doesn't reset gun levels when you re-unlock the guns) every 55 levels.
Match flow/gameplay style-wise it's basically the polar opposite of MWII. They really went hard on having everything be the hyper-fast-paced "no more than 5 seconds between each firefight" stuff that zoom-zooms love so if MWII being slower-paced was part of why you hated it then you might like BO6 more.

I didn't mind the concept of a slower paced COD. The problem was that there were too many aspects that went against this apparent design philosophy, so when you have some spastic on ritalin stimming and slide cancelling around corners with aim-assist, the slower pace starts to fall apart. The schmoovement fags were extra obnoxious during MWII in my experience. On the other hand, the maps and spawns were so shit most of the time that you were punished if you DID try to take it slow. But BO6 seems to be designed around the fast paced, Max Payne jump around corners shit so it might flow better overall.
Thanks for the reply. I had no intention of playing BO6 but the more I see, the more fun it looks.

Yeah bar for a bit of launch-timeframe bugginess (namely, hitting "back" on a nested menu, ex. The attachments not having cons is a double-edged sword imo. It's def now way easier to just pick stuff that raises the stats you like, but to balance it they made it so most stats now only have a single attachment slot (Ex. the -only- attachment that improves Sprint Speed is one specific Foregrip) so there's way less room for actual build variety and/or min-maxxing.

Prestige de comes down to taste, I've personally always found repeated re-locking to be contrived and annoying. Imo it'd be more interesting if they did something like "Re-lock once, then unlock stuff again but more slowly across 550 levels" instead of re-locking over and over every 55.

That in mind the one major caveat I'll give for BO6 is that the launch map pool is rough (teasers for S1 maps look neat though). Like they made a dedicated playlist for the 4 tiny "Shipment-style" maps, yet 4 of the 12 maps in the "regular" map pool are still barely any bigger.
I can enjoy BO6's faster style even if I gravitate to stuff like MW19/MWII, but I still prefer my maps to be at least the size of Scrapyard.

I just played black ops 6 and mw2 back to back on my xbox and the difference in audio is insane. I can tell where the fuck im being shot from exactly just from the gun sounds and theres a directionality to the damage sound in a 15 year old game but i cant even tell what fucking direction im being shot from from the audio in bo6 cause all the hit sound just comes from the front. This is with 7.1 surround speakers.

if the enemy has the vigilance perk on they can see through sleeper agent disguise
if they have a UAV up and they're paying attention, they'll be able to spot you.
when you're using sleeper agent look at the timer - if it says "tracked" there's a UAV or a scout pulse up and they'll be able to see you on radar
if a player spots you you get a diamond above your head
the playerbase still hasn't figured it out yet, and maybe 1 in 10 games i get the audio alert that there's an enemy activating it, so not many people are using it
its pretty fun to use. while its charging up watch enemy killcams to see who is using vigilance
on kill order oftentimes you can walk right behind the enemy hvt and execute him
i've been fucking around with C4 and sleeper agent and there's some shitposting potential there

I recommend Perk Greed for sure. I'm Prestige 6, used my first token on Greed, second on Sleeper, and the rest on perks that require level 40+ since apparently level 40 is the "halfway mark" for the total 1-55 XP requirement.
If the promo is still going you can get a skin for the AR-10 from Twitch Drops, that'll perma-unlock it without needing a token.

So what? Who says CW xp gains are exactly the same in BO6? For now, the only real testing on xp gains I can find is https://youtu.be/pZ0Mtg2mf_I?t=259 and it states the xp/min stays the same across rounds. That, of course, stops working for weapon xp past round 30 when wonder weapons and scorestreaks are required to maintain the TTK. You could still pull out your gun every time an instakill drops. But I don't see a point in exfils once you're done with with weapons and want to grind prestige or battlepasses.

BO6 is broken. Had 8 matches in row with retards and lost while enemy team all had 1-3 kdr. Plus constant enemy uav spam.
MW3 had its issues but it was never like this even on shipment only playlists.
