Varian has one infront of Stormwind Keep, as well as a big memorial at Lion's Rest.
Rhonin has one in Legion Dalaran, likely comissioned by Jaina due to him sacrificing himself to save her life.

Just finished my first night of real prog on mythic Brood and holy fuck what a chaotic shitshow that fight is. I love it because I'm a fury warrior and I get to spin but there is shit flying everywhere and like 50 fucking adds up and interrupts and ccs and holy fucking shit a kitchen sink. I was talking to a friend about how when I started I was 10 and considered a "Wrath Baby". For years I was called that till around WoD. Now in 2024, at 26, I realized I've played my main character for 16 years and outside of one guy who has played for all 20 years have played the longest of anyone in our guild. I don't regret the parts of the time I've spent in the game, but I do look back at when I was in high school and regret quitting Baseball and internally citing it conflicting with raid nights as one reason.

exiles reach is.....how to put this....its harmless. in all the ways that word can be taken.

its fast, you can clear it easily and it will quickly get you to level 10 within a half an hour to an hour and get you set up in a captiol city with a full set of green gear, a bit of gold, full (but small) bags, and sets you on the path to picking which expansion you want to level through. it does a good job of teaching the absolute most basic fundamentals of a class as well as warcraft gameplay like quests, dungeons, and emotes, introduces you to most of the races of your chosen faction has a mild bit of warcraft humor like exploding pigs and dancing ogres.

that said, it also offers no rough edges, no challenge whatsoever (except when garrick/grimaxe bugs out and refuses to tank in the dungeon), and it doesnt give you a very good idea of the identity of your chosen race and their origins, unlike the original starting zones. the dialogue and scenarios are also very safe and PG rated

so its got its pro's and its cons. i dont usually like using the word "SOVL", i think its a copout for a deeper explanation, but i do think exiles reach somes close to what some people would describe as "sovlless", but its also by far the fastest and easiest route to starting a new character, barring some of the allied races which just automatically start you at 10 with a full skill bar and gear, and it does do a good job of teaching an absolutely new never touched a computer game before player how to get started

my personal favorite is the Lucid Nightmare ARG-lite, followed by the Mage Tower.
pvp is niche and unwelcoming for new players, but i think its fun as fuck. some shady shit allegedly goes on in the top percentile, including but not limited to collusion, win-trading and gatekeeping. glad/r1 is a 'boys club' situation and has been for a decade. RBGs are even scummier. THAT BEING SAID it's still fun to play.

But Scaleborne did get an official announcement on June 14th 2023, https://worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com/en-us/news/23969408
So after 10.1 that came out in May 2023, and just before 10.1.5 that was July 2023 before finally releasing 31 October 2023 to tie into 10.2 that was releasing a week later.

They had to try and do everything in their power to justify why the Horde would stick together, until the Saurfang plot was done and try their best to keep people interested in a Horde narrative that's only in the state it is, because the Alliance writers wanted Alliance to fight Horde and be the victims again.
It just led to such a cartoonish disconnect between shit you saw Horde and Alliance side and sudden sweeping statements like the Horde is nearly finished by the time of 8.2.

You almost never see anyone playing Undead anymore for that matter). Then the night elves get a "new home" in Dragonflight, the gayest expansion possible

So this reset is the last one for headless horseman mount/pet. How many folks still stuck with neither and how many runs do you think you've done? I've done at least 12 characters every day and some days I ran upwards of 20. I didn't keep perfect track because I think the event is absolute horse shit and I'm convinced my account cannot get any of the new items. I've got 10+ squashlings, 5 or 6 swords, 3 helmets, and a bunch of dogshit. This is like 200ish loot filled pumpkins and all I want is Arfus. I'm tired and annoyed and convinced (incorrectly) that some accounts cannot get the pet or mount no matter how many times they run it.

I was looking at server population/class data before I got invested into retail to see if any servers were dead or classes in demand.

Im not high enough rating to be invited by the actual maze chads (3k rating and above) and they don't sign onto my key either
so 98% of people signing onto these keys are 2800ish just getting into 12's but can't do them comfortably

Most people aren't hyped for void lords simply because we know nothing about them. Ever since they introduced the whole void lord concept in Chronicle, they should've been dropping hints and info these past few expansions, but they didn't.

So when Midnight releases they will just introduce some random void lord - Lord Paralleus the All-Consuming - and he'll be the new big bad. It'll be the Jailer all over again.

Dragonflight is a bit behind, it had better M+ affixes though
Legion, BfA and Shadowlands were cancerous timegated shitheaps, WoD was WoD and MoP is far better than Wrath and TBC in gameplay although TBC has superior zones

I usually make women characters but I want to make just 1 male self insert. My non-lore-friendly lore is *I* go around and seduce the women of azeroth (npcs and stuff) into a sex harem. I.e. I fuck alexstrasza as reward for saving everyone in dragonflight, etc etc.

What class should I be for this? Also human man, velf man or nelf man? Look I just want to branch out of making only women for once but can't do it any way other than an self insert fantasy.

weird class right now. disc is really good in keys but only if the rest of the party is skilled, holy and disc are both meh in raids, and shadow is meh overall. great class fantasy though.
>warlock
in a similar spot to mage. overall pretty balanced but the gameplay is as boring as ever between all specs. you're only really getting invited for utility at this point since mage is more consistent damage. top tier class themes though.
>paladin
just ridiculous (except holy). both prot and ret are arguably the most braindead specs in this game and yet their throughput is through the roof. Great class fantasy but the class itself is very boring and likely will earn you the nickname of "handicap helmet boy"
>druid
also in a weird spot right now. bear tanks are good but not great, balance is almost great but has no mitigation so it's hard to bring to higher level content, feral is bad, resto is bad. good class themes and farming appearances is fun.

great if you're DPS, terrible if you're tanking. frost is disgusting this patch but it probably won't last and if Breath isn't your thing you'll hate it. UH is good but will continue playing second fiddle to Frost for the foreseeable future. Blood is just in a terrible spot currently. Like DH it's good class themes if you don't mind being an edgelord.

That's a good argument and I won't really refute it. My main consideration in this matter is that while raid and m+ mechanics for dps are generally similar in that they can both wipe the group if you fuck them up, the raid dps has to compete against more people in the meters and to keep their spot on the roster. That and the mental aspect of how wiping over and over again in progression can affect yourself. Whereas there is generally a small break inbetween keys to reset.

I wouldn't really contest it if someone puts m+ dps as harder on their personal list, but I think raid is harder on mine.
